I've used the taxi stand with the round about in many (make that ALL) of my cities for the last couple of years, its pretty terrific. Thanks a million for the hard work! The one thing I'd sure like to see with that piece is, have the road texture go over the sidewalk to join the street to the round about. That way it won't look disconnected but will be totally realistic. Otherwise, I'm crazy about it!

Hi all, I've been playing SimCity for about 15 years and love how the game has grown due to player development. I currently have SC4 Rush Hour running on a MacBook Pro OS X 10.5.6 with 2.2 GHz Intel Core Duo and 4 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM. Several months ago I found the game freezing or crashing on a constant basis which had never happened like this in all my years of playing. The troubles seem to have begun when I updated the Mac NAM. I've found that the game crashes or freezes when I'm trying to place transit enabled (TE) related pieces. It could be a tunnel from a wall set, ally way or parking lot, any waterfront dock or marina, LGR tram track (but not train stations or bus stops) or nearly any other TE piece. The game does one of two things; freezes or crashes. Sometimes, when I plop a TE piece the puff of construction smoke and cost appear and it freezes. I have to force quit to get out of the game. Other times, the second I place a TE piece the game instantly crashes to my desktop. I haven't been able to figure out why it freezes sometimes and crashes other times. After that, when I reload, the game will repeatedly crash as soon as my city appears. Restarting my computer helps get the city to load and run. I don't want to get rid of any of the TE pieces or NAM because they really enhance game playing. While certainly not a fix, I discovered a workaround just this week. - First, I am constantly saving the game every 5 - 10 minutes but especially right before attempting to use any TE piece. - Second, I pause the game. - Next, I bulldozed any road or street that might touch where I want to place a TE piece to go. - I then place the TE pieces. (I try not to place too many pieces for fear of overloading the game at one time) - Replace roads and streets. - Save. - Shut off the pause feature. The game usually runs but has crashed or frozen up a few times. Luckily, when I restart, the TE pieces are in the game and functioning It's certainly not a cure but it keeps me in the game. If anyone has a solution I am certainly all ears! Good luck!
