Please note as it was discussed under the PLEX support thread, this file has been uploaded on behalf of Pegasus. It was not available anymore due to the the demise of SimPeg. All the works in this download were created by Pegasus. The PEG CSK2 Locks have been updated for use with the PEG PPond Canals and ploppable water. This new lot is a "one lot fits all"... in that it can be used both with the canals and the PPond ploppable water. But wait... There's more. This is also a "2fer" lot... as in 2 for 1... as the same lot now replaces the CSK2 Ocean Lock as well. It can also be plopped along your coastlines and used with the PEG CDK3 & OWW2 coastal collection of lots. That's one less menu icon to scroll around looking for. [YEA !!] * If you are not familiar with these Lock lots, they are used to allow your canals to change altitudes. The PPond ploppable water that is used to make lakes, rivers and streams has waterfall lots for that purpose. However, the Locks are the only viable & realistic way for a canal to traverse down a slope. The Lock uses timed props to create an animation effect. During the day, the Lock will change several times from being full to being lowered. Various river Scows will also appear in the Lock. Like the original, the Lock will automatically adjust to various heights of the slope. There's no need for precise terrain editing... although the area above and below the Lock should be level. The new Lock has been reduced in size to only 4 tiles deep... but it is still 2x tiles wide. The upper-level canal section on the original has been removed so the Lock is not limited to use only with the Canals... and it could also be used with any other type of ploppable water or canal style. * Please be sure to consult the Developer's Notes section of the included readme file for details on plopping and using this lot. All Pegasus files are now legacy content and are no longer officially supported - however support from the wider community can be requested here. Dependency:
  2. Hi! I'm about to put together the dependency list to my Seaport Project and I ran into a little problem. I put the current dependency links into the read me documentation and when I wanted to attached the link of the subjected file I couldn't find it on the STEX. I found the old CSK2 Lock, but did not the PP Locks, what I use for each of the transition lot. I don't know if I overlooked something and the mention file is on STEX, or it has been left out so far? Can someone confirm the current status of this file? And if the file is on the STEX, can someone navigate me into the right direction for example with a link? And if that file isn't on STEX, who has the right to upload that one? Thank you in advance! Regards, - Tyberius06

The PEG Terrain Kit (7 n 1) By Pegasus This package contains a number of separate files, mainly Mayor Mode Ploppables (MMP) that are widely used for terrain detailing. The number of available files has been continuously growing over the years - causing a steadily growing list of dependencies as well, tedious to keep track of, download one-by-one or having to list them again and again. To make things easier we decided to organize a selection of these files into one single pack, so for users it will be much easier to download, while producers can just list them as a single dependency. Since most of these files are very slim, we feel this is appropriate - it is not a huge pack to download and it's organized to leave you in full control which items to load into your plugins. The 'Kit' bundles the following sets: * PEG PPond Kit * PEG PP Lot Editor Terrain Props * PEG PPond Terrain Prop Pack 1 * PEG MTP Mayor Mode Forest Scenes Mod * PEG MTP Mayor Mode Forest Flora Mod * PEG MTP Mayor Mode Logging Scenes Mod * PEG MTP Mayor Mode Scrub Brush Mod NOTICE There is NO NEW MATERIAL in this package. It is merely a compilation of previously published material. And of course every single component will stay available on the PLEX as well. So those of you that have been MTP'ing for some time will not need this pack as you most probably have downloaded all the individual sets long time ago... But all folks new to MTP or terrain detailing or even preparing a fresh install might find this useful. When you unpack this download you'll find a folder 'Documentation' including the following material - * complete set of the original ReadMe files with images * complete listing of all included files, useful for version control * complete listing of URLs pointing to the (still available) individual downloads * a few notes on this or that... ;-) Store the documentation anywhere outside your Plugins, for future reference... All Pegasus files are now legacy content and are no longer officially supported - however support from the wider community can be requested here.

This patch mod converts PEG-CDK lots for use with the PEG PPonds ploppable water. Most of the CDK lots did not have a water requirement and could already be used with ploppable water systems. But many... most notably the functional CDK Sea Ports... could not. Now... they can! With this patch, your PPonds are no longer confined to smaller waterways or meandering rivers and streams. You can now build entire, complex ports and harbors anywhere in your cities... at any elevation !! * This patch mod provides modified versions of the lot files that have had all water tile requirements removed. It does not create new versions of the lots to further clutter up your menus. Instead, it simply alters the existing lots to make them more flexible. The patch does not include any of the required files or dependencies of the original CDK versions of the lots. Therefore, the original CDK versions of the lots must be installed for the patched versions to function properly. * The default Coast Guard Station conversion patch is included in the main patch file. The optional "southern style" patch is in a separate file so it can be removed if not wanted. * The default install path is critical for the proper operation of the functional sea ports. Please consult the included readme file for full details. By default, all of the original lots of the following CDK collections are compatible for use with the PPonds: PEG CDK3 OWW2 PEG CDK3 Marina (excluding dock extension lots) PEG CDK3 Seaport Village PEG CDK3 Legacy CDK ** Requires: PEG PPond Kit PEG CDK3-SP Ploppable Ships Pack 1 PEG-CDK3-SP Buoyz From Da Hood All Pegasus files are now legacy content and are no longer officially supported - however support from the wider community can be requested here.

This is a revised version of the CDK3 Ploppable Ships for use with the PEG PPonds. The ships can now be plopped on PPond water and canals. Similar to other PPond water traffic lots, this is a single lot that randomly displays 1 of several different ships (7, in this case) that appear at different times of the day. The actual lot is only 1x1 tiles in size... but the ships occupy much more space. This smaller lot imprint makes it much easier to plop water tiles around it and to plop on large areas of the Mayor Flora Ploppable water. Note: As these are timed props, depending in the time of day, you may not see any ships when you plop the lot. Don't Panic! They will appear soon. And if you make any mistakes, they are very cheap to plop, bulldoze & replop. BONUS: As a one-time, introductory offer... if you download in the next 10 minutes... we will include the PPond version of the CDK3 Navigation Buoys for free*. * Just pay separate shipping & handling. Like the Cargo Ships, the CDK3 Navigation Buoys have been converted for use with the PEG PPonds. These 1x1 lots can now be plopped anywhere on your PPond water and canals. * PPond versions of CDK3 lots will appear directly below their CDK3 counterparts in the Water Transportation menu. * These lots do not include the original ship & buoy models. Therefore, the original CDK3 versions of these lots are required as dependencies. Sorry 'bout that. ** Requires: PEG PPond Kit PEG CDK3-SP Ploppable Ships Pack 1 PEG-CDK3-SP Buoyz From Da Hood All Pegasus files are now legacy content and are no longer officially supported - however support from the wider community can be requested here.

This is a revised version of the CSK2 Scows Prop Pack.... and replaces that file. The Scow models have been re-scaled and re-textured to appear more weathered. They have also been modified to use considerably less resources. Once this file is installed and the old file is removed, all scows already in your cities will be updated automatically. There is no need to replop any lots. * The Scows appear in several PPond Canal lots... and can be used with the PPond ploppable water as well. ** No Dependencies. All Pegasus files are now legacy content and are no longer officially supported - however support from the wider community can be requested here.

The old CSK2 Avenue Draw Bridge has been modified for use with the new PPond Kit. They now pull double-duty and can be used both with PPond ploppable water as well as the PPond Canals. In addition to adding the new PPond water, the bridge and bridge houses have also been modified and re-textured. They now look a bit more weathered & worn. The new lots are the same size (4x3)... and use the same custom timed props that open and close the bridge several times each day. The lot has also been slightly modified so any existing instances of it in your cities should be replopped. All other aspects and properties of this are the same as the CSK2 original. * When the bridges are open, traffic will continue to cross the bridge. Lots such as this can not modify that behavior of the game. However, the traffic has been visually blocked when the bridges are open... so you will not see cars magically flying across open water. When the bridges are closed, you will see traffic crossing the bridge as with any other bridge in the game. The PPond Canals are designed to replace the older CSK2 Canals. Accordingly, this lot directly replaces the original CSK2 Draw Bridge lot. Once the new files are installed, you should remove the old CSK2 Draw Bridge folder and files. ** This lot requires the PEG-PPond Canal Kit and the PEG-CSK Scows Prop Pack All Pegasus files are now legacy content and are no longer officially supported - however support from the wider community can be requested here.

The old CSK2 Lift Bridges have been modified for use with the new PPond Kit. This single package replaces both the original CSK2 Road Lift Bridges and the CSK2 Rail Lift Bridge. There are 3 bridges in total; the single-width Road bridge, the single-width Rail bridge and the double-width Avenue bridge. All bridges are designed for canls that are 2 tiles wide. * For wider canals, use the PPond Avenue Drawbridge & Swing Bridges. In addition to adding the new PPond water, the bridges have been remodeled to apear more weathered & worn. The new lots are the same size (1x2 & 2x2)... and use the same custom timed props that open and close the bridge several times each day. Only the models have been changed and as such, any existing lots in your cities will not need to be replopped. Existing lots will update automatically once the file is installed. Old Huck has been running Finn's Landing for as long as anyone can remember. If you want to rent a boat, buy some bait or a cool drink... or just listen to stories of the old days on the river... then Finn's Landing is the place to go. Some say he must be over a hundred years old by now. Some say even older. But old Huck will still kick yer butt at Checkers every time... and still takes his beloved old raft out on the river from time to time. When passing by.. if you listen closely on a still and quiet night, you may still hear old Huck strumming the old banjo. This is a "2-fer" lot (2 for 1)... meaning that there are 2 lots for the price of one. Both lots are identical visually. One version is a pure eye-candly park plop that can be plopped anywhere. The other version is a RCI ploppable (CS$ - Landmarks menu) with jobs... that has to have road access. Both lots should be plopped on level or near-level land. * Both lots are 2x2 in size... with a dock that extends beyond the lot for easy placement over your favorite water lots or ploppable water props. Although considered to be a 'PPond' lot, it does not require the PPond Kit as a dependency. The mill can be used with any ground-level ploppable water props. * The lot(s) are nitelited and include custom queries... and custom background & query sound effects. In the query for the CS$ version, the 'Boats Rowed" stat will increase as your city grows. ** These lots require the MTP SUPER PACK All Pegasus files are now legacy content and are no longer officially supported - however support from the wider community can be requested here.

If you can't go over or around... or under... go through. This is a collection of 3 ford style lots for use with the PEG PPonds. All three lots are 1x1 and fully Transit Enabled for streets. They come in 3 flavors... Rock, Stone & Concrete. These lots are technically parks and are located in the Parks Menu along with the other PPond ploppable lots. However, except for a very low landmark value, they have no park-like properties. They are cheap to plop and even cheaper to maintain. These lots are also fully Transit Enabled (for pedestrians, cars, trucks & buses) and you will see cars partially submerge in the water as they cross. They have a small, built-in commute delay (like a toll booth) to simulate the slowly down that drivers with average or better IQs would normally do when driving through water. * Although Transit Enabled, the lots can also be used with non-functional roads and paths like the Logging Roads, Forrest Trails, etc... ** These lots have no direct dependencies... but are designed for use with the: PEG PPond Kit All Pegasus files are now legacy content and are no longer officially supported - however support from the wider community can be requested here.

This mod adds many new Terrain props to your Mayor Flora menu that you can use for Terrain Detailing and to further enhance the look of your PPond waterways. Although they are designed to expand the collection of ploppable terrain and shore props included with the PPond Kit, these props can be used anywhere in your cities to add extra detail to your terrain. The PPond Kit is not required in order to use these ploppable props. Whats Included: 1. Wild Flowers - Four wild flower textures that can be plopped anywhere to add a splash of natural color to your terrain. Semi-transparent and easily overlayed to create small patches of flowers as thick or thin, large or small, as you want. We refer to them as Daisies, "Vandy" Lions, Prairie Rose & Poppies (white, yellow, purple & orange) but they can be any type of flowers you wish them to be. 2. Grasses - Two new grassy textures to add a little extra green to any area. Looks good down by the water or to help blend in barren rocky areas with the grassy terrain. Can be "painted" on thickly to created lush lawns or fields of grass. Comes in a lighter Grass texture and a darker Clover texture. 3. Leaves - Similar to the grassy textures... but in a shade of brown that can be used to add the look of fallen leaves and foliage in any area. Looks good under trees. Can also be used as a dirt path or to add light patches of dirt to any grassy area. Very flexible with lots of potential uses. 4. Ballast - A gravel texture designed to add the ballast along rail lines that the game forgot. In a brownish tone to match the dirt shoulders and edges of the PEG Rail textures and the MTP Road, Street & Avenue mods. Can be used to create paths or anywhere that a brownish gravel is desired. 5. Rip-Rap - A dark, rocky texture of the type commonly seen along waterfronts, harbors and breakwaters. Can be plopped underwater. Useful for adding a "man was here" look to terrain along your coastlines. 6. Sand - Simpy referred to as "Sand 2", this is an extra, slightly darker version of the Sand texure included with the PPond Kit. 7. Gravel - A texture similar to the Pebble texture, but smaller and denser. 8. Weeds - In rotating groups of 5.. both lush green & dead brown... ranging from small to large and clumps. Ideal for adding that "natural" (ie... neglected) look to your terrain. The green weeds also double as reeds along waterways. Both groups can be "planted" in rows to simulate crops. The taller weeds look very much like corn plants. 9. Dead Trees - A rotating collection of 5 dead trees... ranging in size from a small bush to a tall, naked pine. Also includes a large dead oak and a fallen dead pine. We sorta hate to put anything dead in our beautiful forests. But lightning sucks & trees can't duck. It happens. Get over it. And yes... when a tree falls in the forest, it makes one Hell of a racket... no matter who's around to hear it. * The various ploppable props are grouped into separate files so you can easily remove certain groups of props if you do not want to use them. * These files also include normal (non-ploppable) versions of the props so they can be used in the Lot Editor on your own custom lots. ** No dependencies. All Pegasus files are now legacy content and are no longer officially supported - however support from the wider community can be requested here.

If you can't go over or around... go under. This is a collection of 4 culvert style lots for the PEG PPonds. Three of the 4 lots are for use with the Mayor Menu ploppable PEG PPond Kit ploppable props for creating streams and rivers. The 4th lot is for use with the PEG-PPond Channel/Canal lots. Collectively, these lots will allow you to add additional realism and character to your PPond rivers, streams and canals. All of the lots are 1x1 in size. They are technically Park lots... but have no park-like particles added. The Canal Culvert appears in the Water Transportation menu along with the other PPond Channel lots. The stream culverts appear in the Parks menu along with the PPond ploppable lots. The Canal Culvert is designed to be plopped on level land. The stream Culverts, however, can be plopped either on level land or on terrain that has been recessed for a stream or river. On recessed terrain, the culverts will blend in with the sloped terrain and be partially covered by it. The models have been designed to allow close placement of ploppable terrain props, such as plants and rocks & earth textures... to help blend them in visually with the surrounding terrain. The culverts can be plopped singularly... or in pairs on either side of a roads or rails, etc... ** These lots have no direct dependencies... but are designed for use with the: PEG PPond Kit and the PEG-PPond Canal Kit All Pegasus files are now legacy content and are no longer officially supported - however support from the wider community can be requested here.

For your nostalgic pleasure... an old stream mill... for your Old Mill Stream. If you are old enough to know the song, so much the better. I hope you have Dental... 'cause this baby is pure candy. It delightfully takes pleasure in serving absolutely no functional purpose whatsoever... other than to just look cool along your rivers and streams. Water mills have been in use since Ancient times. However, by the early 20th century, availability of cheap electrical energy made the water mill obsolete in developed countries although some smaller rural mills continued to operate commercially into the 1960s. Used in their day to power a wide range of machinery for various industrial purposes, those mills that remain today have either been abandoned, maintained as tourist attractions, or have been updated or re-purposed for some other function. This lot is a park... located in your Park menu... with a fair amount of landmark value as old water mills such as this are tourist magnets. The lot is 2x2 tiles in size and requires power for the nitelites. It is designed to be plopped on level land... with the 2 water tiles in front of it also level with the lot. Although considered to be a 'PPond' lot, it does not require the PPond Kit as a dependency. The mill can be used with any ground-level ploppable water props. I lied about the non-functional bit. There is a semi-functional second, RCI Industrial Manufacturing ploppable version with jobs that is also included in this package. That version is located in your Landmarks menu and requires road access. * The lot(s) are nitelited and include custom queries... and custom background & query sound effects. In the query for the IND-M version, the 'Revolutions Per Minute" stat will increase as your city grows. ** These lots require the MTP SUPER PACK All Pegasus files are now legacy content and are no longer officially supported - however support from the wider community can be requested here.

This is a simple, optional Rock Mod that changes the appearance of the rocks in-game to match the rocks and boulders used in the PEG PPond Kit. I'd like to drone on and one... extolling the many virtues and superior features of this rock mod. But it just doesn't have any. Its just a simple rock mod that uses the same mossy rock texture used primariliy in the PPond Kit. * As with all rocks mods, there can be only one installed at any time. Be sure to remove any other rock mod you have installed. ** No dependencies. All Pegasus files are now legacy content and are no longer officially supported - however support from the wider community can be requested here.
  15. PEG PPOND KIT

    Version 1

Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the water... they change the freakin' water!! The new PEG PPond Kit will allow you to customize the look of your cities in ways you have yet begun to imagine. More than just ploppable water, the PPond Kit is a vast collection of ploppable props you can use to "super detail" any part of your city... on any terrain... be it totally flat or a sculpted masterpiece. Take the phone off the hook and lock the door. You're gonna be busy for quite a long time. The PPond Kit is a collection of both Mayor Flora Menu ploppable props and normal ploppable lots. It includes everything you need to "paint" realistic lakes, rivers and streams all over your cities... including waterfalls and ponds with lilly pads & cattails. Custom lots are also included to add animated sparkle effects to the water... and turbulence effects & sound at the bottom of waterfalls and dams. Ploppable water is nothing new... but it has always had the one drawback of looking unrealistic along the barren shoreline where water meets grass. That is no longer an issue. The PPond Kit includes a large collection of ploppable shoreline props, including pebble, sand and mossy textures... along with rocks and boulders... that can be plopped or painted, overlayed and mixed together to easliy create amazingly detailed shorelines. Just plop or hold down the mouse button and paint... no terrain editing required. All of the Shoreline props pull double duty as they are not limited to use along waterways. They can be used anywhere to add extra features to your terrain and even freely paint pathways through your parks and forests. Your imagination is the only limit.* * There are actually other limits. We just said that there weren't because its such a catchy phrase... and its good marketing. The list of what you can do with this kit is just too extensive to discuss here... In the mean time, here is a list of the items included with this initial package: Flora Menu Ploppables: 1. 1x Water Tile. Use this to plop water anywhere in your city. Hold down the mouse button and drag to literally "paint" water onto the terrain. The tile is very slope tolerant and can be used to paint streams down mountain sides. For lakes and ponds, level terrain is best. 2. 1/4 Water Tile. Smaller version of the Water Tile... for those hard to reach spaces. 3. 1x Water Tile with Water Lillies. Use this to plop Water Lillies anywhere in your lakes or ponds. Hold down the mouse button and drag to literally "paint" Water Lillies onto the terrain. 4. 1/4 Water Tile with Cattails. Use this to plop Cattails along your shore lines. Single click for one clump or hold down the mouse button and literally "paint" Cattails all along your shores. 5. Shore Tile - Pebble. Use this to paint a pebble shoreline along your water. Use single click to create a thinner, semi-transparent effect, or click twice (or paint) to create a more opaque effect. All Shore & Rock props orient to slopes and can be used anywhere to add extra texture to your terrain. Very useful for plopping along the edges of lots that do not blend well with the terrain. Can be used to paint pathways. 6. Shore Tile - Mossy. Use this to paint a mossy shoreline along your water. Can be used to add a mossy/small flora texture almost anywhere on the terrain. 7. Shore Tile - Sandy. Use this to paint a sandy shoreline along your water. Slightly smaller in size and designed specifically to also paint pathways through forests, etc. 8. Shore Tile - Small A smaller and darker version of the Shore Tile. Very useful for dragging along the edge of other Shore Tiles where they meet the water to create a 3D effect. 9. Rock Cluster - Small A ploppable cluster of small rocks to add extra texture to your shorelines. 10. Rocks - Small A collection of 5 rocks, ranging from very small to not-as-small. The first click plops a smallest rock. Each subsequent click on the same rock replaces it with a larger sized rock. 11. Boulders A collection of 5 boulders, ranging from small to huge. The first click plops a small boulder. Each subsequent click on the same boulder replaces it with a larger sized boulder. The 2 largest boulders do not orient to the slope. Important: Most shore and rock props have the ability to overlay each other to some degree.... allowing them to be plopped close together or cluster to create combined effects and textures. Using the click and drag paint method usually negates this clustering effect as it covers the area of terrain fully with the painted prop. By carefully limiting the various props in a specific area with slightly offset single click placement, there can be room between props to plop other props, such as rocks or the PEG Ploppable Flora, trees, etc... Park Menu Ploppable Lots 1. 1x Water Tile. Use this to plop a full 1x1 water tile. The lot contains the Sparkles animated effect. Ideal for plopping several of these in mid river or in lakes to add a little sparkle and life to your water. Must be plopped on level terrain. 2. 1x Turbulence Tile. A 1x1 water tile with animated turbulence effects along one edge. For use at the bottom of dams and waterfalls. Must be plopped on level terrain. 3. 1x2 Water Fall. Use this to add waterfalls of any height and width to your rivers and streams. Plop with the orientation arrow pointing down; one tile on the level top of the waterfall and the other tile on the slope. The top of the waterfall must be perfectly level. 4. 1x Dam Output. A special 1x1 water tile designed for the PEG Small Hydroelectric Dam. This water tile has 3 horizontal jets of water and was designed for the left-side/bottom of the dam to simulate water coming from the output pipes of the dam. Must be plopped on level terrain. ** These lots have no dependencies. All Pegasus files are now legacy content and are no longer officially supported - however support from the wider community can be requested here.

Would you be able to help us catch up after a bit of a shortfall?

We had a small shortfall last month. Your donation today would help us catch up for this month.

Make a Donation, Get a Gift!

We need to continue to raise enough money each month to pay for expenses which includes hardware, bandwidth, software licenses, support licenses and other necessary 3rd party costs.

By way of a "Thank You" gift, we'd like to send you our STEX Collector's DVD. It's some of the best buildings, lots, maps and mods collected for you over the years. Check out the STEX Collections for more info.

Each donation helps keep Simtropolis online, open and free!

Thank you for reading and enjoy the site!
