I'm thinking an island version of the acropolis, flat with a steep hill. -
Does anyone know where I can find the buildings from the site SC4.BLOGSPOT.COM? It seems all the links are broken, but surely they exist somewhere on the internet or in someones downloads folder?

I'm looking for the tram-in-avenue bridge at the top. It used to be available on SC4D LEX, but I cannot seem to find it anymore. I can find the tram-in-road bridge in the middle, but not the other one. Maybe I'm overlooking it?

Pretty bummed about the whole shift in direction with the Sim City franchise. This game sounds like Sim City Societies 2. Honestly EA/Maxis, Sim City has one of the largest and most committed fan bases of any game out there for a reason: the formula for Sim City 4/3000 (ie: realistic city building/simulation) is golden. All these attempts to cartoonize it, kill the features that give character to real-world cities (ie: good luck making Los Angeles without highways or NYC without subways), or turn it into a modern version of SimAnt are really not the way to go. If you want to attract the fan base of "the Sims", thats fine, but don't do it by creating a new game entirely under the name "Sim City", do it by continuing the core components of the Sim City legacy, and finding creative ways to expand crossover of Sims 3 elements in-game like they did in SC4 with the ability to have your sims as citizens living in your city.

Krio hasn't released the last building yet but I'm sure you'll find out when he uploads it to the STEX. --- And now for a question from me: Does anyone know where the buildings on the left side of the north-southgoing avenue can be found? Any help is appreciated Thank you in advance. They're part of the 19th century set by c.p. on the LEX.. Still looking for that first building if anyone has a link! https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=1277

I'm looking for the diagonal-orthogonal building on the left. I used to have it, and downloaded it from the STEX, but I can't seem to find it anywhere! Also; if anyone happens to know where I can get this building by Krio or if its not released yet, when he might be planning to release it... Thanks!

Lovely! What is that gold-domed building on the right? -
I really like where this is going! As an American urbanite, I would just give you one suggestion, though; take out that highway that runs through the center of downtown, it really takes away from realism of your city. Downtowns are usually the oldest part of an American city, and often predate the highway/interstate system and the automobile. So, usually, to avoid networking complications or the demolishment of historical structures; interstates run as a loop around the city, and state highways connect to major roadways in the city. The only exception to this rule, are a few cities in the American west, such as as Los Angeles, Phoenix, and to a lesser extent Denver. Your city, seems much more like a typical northeast, southern, or midwestern city, though. For a few examples of large cities that use this "loop" model use Google images to find interstate maps of Manhattan, Houston, or Chicago. For some examples of medium sized cities that use that model google Pittsburgh, Memphis, or Indianapolis.

Which happens to fit in about my previous argument about legalizing both polygamous and homosexual marriage. Of course, it is not just the liberals that are ignoring the other issues -- conservatives, fascists, centrists, liberals, neoliberals, and democratic socialists do also. Criticizing the liberals for this is like accusing Jefferson of not trying to abolish slavery, or ignoring child labor laws that restrict the rights of the youth population -- it takes time for progressive people to address other, previously ignored issues. However, it is a valid point.quote>

I'm really liking it. My only suggestions would be to locate your airport to a suburb or to the waterfront. Airports are never located inside or just outside of a downtown area unless they are near a huge body of water. Real estate is simply too expensive, and the likelihood of a crash into surrounding buildings is just too great. Also, you should consider expanding your mass transit system more into the city itself, not just on the outskirts. Locating El-Rail/HS Rail networks next to avenues and highways should be avoided. Instead locate beside streets and roads which are much more likely to reach over-capacity. Besides these two minor things, I'm really loving it. Great job.

Is there going to be some sort of plot to this? This is the city-journal forum. If you're just going to post pictures, maybe you should try posting in a "Show us your..." or the General Forum.
