  2. Hello all, I love to listen to music files while Playing SC4. What I listen to is mostly Rock from the 50's to the mid 90's. If you're going to play "Custom Music" while you play the game, you will need to remove the game music from these folders located in your game folder, mine is located on my "C" drive in the "Programs Files (x86)" folder. In my Game folder, I located the game music in the "Radio" folder. Remove the music files in both the "Mayor" & "Region" folders, cutting and pasting the files into a folder with 2 subfolders titled "Mayor" & "Region". Just paste the files in the folder they belong in. But do not remove the Kmay.id from the "Mayor" folder or "Krgn.id" from the "Region" folder. If you do then no music will play. In one folder I have 100 music files and renamed the files to "sc4m_01" thru (how many music files you have put into the folder). I don't believe you will need to do this, but I did. But I couldn't figure out how to get all my "Custom Music" to play. I found on Google the following information: First, make sure the music files you would like to listen to is in the MP3 format. Second, you will need to set the music to 128 kbps. I found what I was looking for at this site. I chose the first converter. If you choose this converter set-up is easy: Select files (you will need to add each file). If you choose to add the folder it will automatically add all the files that are in the folder. Mode: Average Modus: Joint Stereo Rate: 130 kbps (It will convert the file to 124 kbps which will play in the game.) Sample Freq: 44100Hz Destination: Set export path via the first option. I converted all of my music files and now they all play just fine. It now will play all the music from folders that I made for the game. Hope the information is helpful and helps you get your "Custom Music" to play in the game.

    Ha Murcut, If you have downloaded the 2 types of Fencing from SimPeg and Paenig you will find them here. SimPeg's fences will show up in the "Parks" menu and the fencing from Paeng will show up in the "Miscellaneous Transportation" menu. The SimPeg fencing has 2 types, 1 with barbwire and 1 non barbwire. Hope this helps. Just loaded my game and found where i used the fence lots are listed as " IND Alley Fence". I have included pic so you can see what I'm talking about. '
  8. Yes it's me again, I'm missing a prop for the "American Truck Stop" creator is "Angry Mozart" I have checked and checked again and all the Dependences are loaded for this lot. I'm using the "PEG OPPS/OOPS Mod" and I have 2 flags showing up going thru the trailers on 2 truck trailers and I have no earthly ideal why? I tried to message "Angry Mozart" but it wouldn't let me. I have enclosed a pic to show what I'm talking about. Any help would be greatly appreciated .
  9. Hello everyone, I am looking two things, First the missing models or props in Heretic Paeng Urban Rec Expansion. Second is the building over hanging the Ave. I remember reading somewhere that there is a Plugin that can used to delete a building. I can't delete this building no matter hard I try. On the First issue I have deleted the Plugin and re-loaded file to my plugins and no matter hard I try I can't get rid of the flags. I have included a pic to show what I am talking about. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi dabandon6, I have to agree with above post. GOG is your best bet. And the problems with installing the GOG Galaxy version will cause the game to CTD when trying to zoom in or out using your mouse scroll key or trying to use the + - on the mayor window. Also the offline installer should let you download the SC4 Deluxe with a hotfix already installed. When installing the game for your system (Win 10 is what I have) just fellow the link here from Cyclone Boom on how to install to your system. Good luck playing the game. I have.

    Hello everyone, Hope everyone is having a great start for the holiday. I am looking for the red "Passenger Car and Locomotive". I have looked through all of my plugins for the game and my saved plugins folders and I can't find any. Also what is causing the Locomotive and the passenger car to be gapped so? I would like to know who is the creator so I can remove them from plugins. I have enclosed a pic so you can see what I'm talking about. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Solved: I have solved the problem with this train "set" (never found who the creator was), in the enclosed pic. Figured out I had the "SW77 Kenworth Regional Runner". I removed but by chance I checked my "BSC" folder and lo'e and behold there was 2 files, RHP CarsAmtrakSuperliner-Coach & RHP CarsAmtrak-PepsiCan" located there removed. I was doing a "Binary Search" and located 3 folder that I loaded by mistake. Now I have the "Maxis" passenger train in my game. I'll look closely at what I am installing.

    Hello SIM-ple Jack, If your looking for a "Terrain Mod" that isn't hard to use I recommend 2 Terrain Mods. They are both "PEG MTP Terrain Mod 1 & 2". They are in the "PLEX" the MTP selections, top of page 1 and page 3. They are very user friendly. Download either one of the Mods. After you have it downloaded to your computer, extract it and a folder will be created. Open the newly created folder and the Mod will be in this folder named "ZZZ PEG Facelift Mods". Now to put this folder (by cutting and pasting) into your main plugins folder for the game. If you don't know how to do the Cut and Paste here is how I do it. Right click the "ZZZ" a window will open, select the "cut" option, open your game plugins folder, a new window will open, select the paste option and it will put the "ZZZ" folder into your plugins folder. Hope I have explained well enough so you understand how to do this.
  17. Hello everyone, I have been having a problem with the game. The game has been “Freezing Up” and has to be closed using the “alt+ctrl+delete”. I restart the game and enter the Region that I have been having the problem with. After I get into the Region I build something, Pause the game, select the “ctrl+s” and after a few seconds it will open a window for me to save. I select “Ok” and it will save the game for me, but I can only do this 3 times. On the 4th the game “Freezes” and I have to do the “alt+ctrl+delete”. I have 2 more “Regions” I am playing and the game has no problem’s saving these Regions. I have set the "setting’s" in the Graphics Card to; Added the Game to Gaming and it is Enabled, Global Settings are (found out how to do this from a “YouTube Video”, How to Optimize AMD Settings for Gaming & Performance The Ultimate Guide). This is only for AMD Graphics Cards. Here my system info: 1. Running Windows 10 64bit. 2. Processor: AMD A10-8700P Radeon R6, 10 Compute Cores 4C+6G (4 CPUs), ~1.8GHz 3. AMD Radeon(TM) R6 Graphics 4. Memory: 8192MB RAM 5. Available OS Memory: 7628MB RAM 6. Page File: 4294MB used, 5190MB available 7. DirectX Version: DirectX 12 I use the save option ctrl+s during gameplay and when exiting the game. Any help would be Appreciated.
  18. Finally Solved Finally Solved my freezing problem. I did Binary Search of my plugins, which is 7.7GB which equals 6,028 files. It took me some time do the Search, which is why I am late with the post. Here are the plugins which was causing the freezing problem. 1. SADS Cycleway Textures. 2. Plopable Farm Fields. 3. RW 15x20 Space Center. 4. Saturn V. I started on a Region and built a small city and loaded the plugins divide 1/2. First of plugins loaded fine (I keep in my plugins). Loaded the second set and had the freezing problem. Divide by 1/2, loaded the first 1/2 from the second set. Loaded no problem. Loaded the second. freezing problem . Divided them again till I was down to 4 folders of 5 plugins each. Loaded each of plugins from the 4 folders till I was finally down to the 4 plugins listed above. I let the region play and finally NO freezing during game play. I played thru 5 music files (I have Custom Music), so now it is finally fixed I would to give a big THANK's (it was greatly Appreciated) to all who help me during this trying time. So I guess I will start writing down the Plugins I install to my plugins folder, so if it plugin acts up I will know which one it is.
  19. Thanks for the reply rsc204, With the double commands I messed up the title for double d:DirectX in my last reply back to you, I don't have the extra command in the command line target. I will try the Binary search again, I have done this before and didn't find anything. Thanks again for the reply it is greatly appreciated.
  20. Hello everyone, Having a problem with the "Newman Library". It is missing the parking dep, which is located at the back of the building, it is "Walking Snake Textures". I have the dep. installed in my plugins but they don't show when I plop the lot in my city. The plugin also from Newman which is "Newman City Hall" when I plop it in the game is shows the parking textures, for the parking dep just fine. I have included a pic so you can see what I am talking about. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  22. Thanks for the quick reply rsc204, I am so glad to here the graphics card is ok for the game. I was wondering why my affinity setting's don't keep. The affinity settings in the game reset's to CPU:0. and I have to reselect CPU:1 in the Task Manager. I have the target line as; exe" -CPUCount:1 -CustomResolution:enabled -r1600x900x32 -f -d:DirectX -Intro:off -d:DirectX -EH:off. If loading the CPU:0 is ok I will not worry about it anymore. I took my plugins folder out of the game and located it on my Desk-Top. Ran the Game, loaded a region, the region opened fine no hiccup's (freezing for a second). I opened/saved the region 6 times. I then added my plugins folder, ran the game and started building my city and sure enough the game hiccupped (freezing) for a second 1 time. Let the game run and a short later it did it again for 3 seconds. I have included my dxdiag for you to look at. All help is greatly appreciated. DxDiag.txt

  25. Finally Solved: Thought I had it Solved by removing the Plugin "Region View HD" but it had come back. It was driving me crazy. I finally sent an E-Mail to GOG support and this is what they had to say Falran (GOG.com) Dec 2, 12:38 CET Hello luvs2draw, Unfortunately, your graphics device is below the minimum system requirements for the game. Do you have access to a different computer that meets the system requirements and that you could use to play the game? If not, I can convert this order to GOG Wallet funds that you can use towards buying a different game. Please let me know if you would like me to go ahead and do this for you. Looking forward to hearing from you. All the best, Falran GOG.com Tech Support Representative (GOG came to this decision from the information in my DXDIAG page.) So all this time it was my Graphics Card. Now decision needs to be made. (1) Change my video card? I need to find out how much it cost to have this done. I will have a Computer Service store do this for me. If it was a Desk-Top, I would do it myself, I have the knowledge to do it, but, not real comfortable messing with the Lap-Top. I have Graphics Card from AMD, AMD Radeon R5 Graphics, Software 19.11.1, Software Addition Adrenalin 2019, so my Graphic card is up to date. (2) Do nothing, because it is a new Lap-Top. Keep playing the game and realize the game will keep freezing up while I'm playing the game. I am going to go through my Plugins and reduce it size. Hope this will decrease the freezing up. This will be an ongoing process. I will keep you up-date how it is going. I would like to thank everyone from for the help, it was much appreciated.
