The walls are from Paeng

The roads around the roundabout were tinkered with from NAM textures with the powerful graphics tool MS Paint. Above all, don't look too closely

I've been wanting to mention the same thing I was expecting a lot of pictures with the 3D camera.

I know through the history of this community people have come and gone and come back. Some people have just moved on to other games, others have somehow fallen off the face of the earth. 

I hope he's OK, and if we tag him maybe he will get the notification

It has been mentioned these days in discord that he has been banned for some reason, (I'm not clear which one and it's none of our business either I guess) I'm just writing this to let you know that apparently everything is fine and he should be back in September.

I know the painstaking, grueling boredom it is to get the exact buildings to grow. It looks perfect. Did you try the growify cheat? What I usually do when I do this so as not to let the city "pass me by," is I will reload over and over again until i finally get one of the buildings I want, then I save, then I start that process over again for the next one. If I don't get one of the buildings I want to grow within say 2 or 3 sim years, then I reload and try again.

I've been wondering the very same thing -- and I had my suspicions that there was "something afoot".

I haven't dabbled in the 'growify' cheat yet, I'm still finding meaning from the grind of the current process, it makes the end result feel more 'earned' 
I like to leave the game running in the background on my machine while I do other things so I get the slight adrenaline buzz of mystery as to whether my wished for building has grown. A bit like gardening I suppose, plough the fields, wait and see what grows.

I disagree! Keep going, not sure what he real life building looks like but the tiles/shingles seem a bit too large. Making them smaller with some more variety would be a good idea then just trying modelling in a few more details..good stuff

The real buildings have corrugated metal roofs covered in unidentifiable junk (and are also not made from concrete as far as I know; I'm mostly just trying to figure out how to create textures that look sort of like the originals but also blend in with existing SC4 content from Latin America/Asia). I will keep working tho. My sims will work on tea estates and palm oil plantations or my name isn't Winston Churchill.

Thanks. Technically my answer to your question is neither. Since I am on the NAM team I have access to dev builds for things in the works that I test, such as the NAM DLL which is super useful.

What issues do you see that are popping up again and again?

I see no prop pox in this town, everything is brand new.

Suddenly, you stop at 333 Michigan Avenue and think, "What a wonderful Art Deco building." Its slender form with its sculptures and geometric reliefs is so striking. Since a month had another look at the Bat´s on SimCity China ! Except ST SC4Devotion and some Japanese stuff I found these Bat´s wich might be unique to the site.

Still, hard verify everything, the site structure being forum like doesnt navigate verywell with unnecesary windows opening. Some indicidual chinese creator accounts might be of interest but general, it´s dated stuff, access troublesome in time !
