Sometimes BAT creators get precious about their creations and it only happens here. For instance I recall a few months ago an argument simmer2 had with someone about the outer surrounding walls of this lighthouse being too bright. I also know this isn't mattb325's first rodeo with Simtropolis and people commenting on his bats, he took a break from Simtropolis 3 or 4 years ago and stayed strictly in SC4D.

In SC4D there is much greater scrutiny of bats and everyone commenting is a bat creator themselves, thus they can provide relevant technical information with their comments and criticisms. I know this because I am a member of SC4D, but not a BAT creator. Thus you don't get arguments like this.

I'm not sure what there is to support here. 

Not every bat is going to be perfect for every player. But not all criticism is constructive or accurate either. Scale is something new batters have to get accustomed to, and that's usually done via trial and error as much as any input received from others. @mattb325 is one of the most prolific batters in this game, certainly in the top 3 on any English-speaking sites, along with SimGoober and Pegasus, if he hasn't surpassed them yet. So I'm glad he hasn't been making single family homes the size of airport hangers all these years. 

Of course, you're more than welcome to use Model Tweaker to make any adjustments you like, for your own personal use. Supersize it. Paint it pink. Go crazy.

@mattb325 your work is beautiful, no question, and I for one (and many others) are very grateful for your efforts. All this back and forth seems to be getting a little too personal and no good will come of it. I think there has been some over reacting and misunderstanding happening here. Matt as an artist / creator you have to expect some criticism (spoken or unspoken) will occur. It does not reflect on you personally or the quality of your work or nullify the respect of the vast majority, it is just the nature of the beast.

Jack, your criticism did seem a bit sharp. Your, seemingly, impish nature is ok in many other respects but your critiques could be more carefully thought out.

Ehh.... Can we divert this thread back to its original purpose? I mean "taking the piss off each other" can fullfill the "show us what you are working on" topic, but now it's going on on 4 pages without a clear reason. I get it, feelings were hurt, but every side should get over it and move on...
@SIM-ple Jack you don't like how Matt made that model following his artistic vision and using original sketches and images from the movie, then you have several option to choose from. Do not download, if you don't feel it to be worthy. You can develope skills and create your own version from scratch (we have god knows how many different versions of the Wells Fargo building on this exchange) or you can look for it on some of the free pages which are providing 3d models, what you can try to finalize with 3ds Max or gmax and then export into your game. Korver made a bunch of building using this method for his own CJs, so it can be done apparently... Good Luck. 
I've given up counting how many times I could have complained or made suggestions about BATs (or did actually, I had my own runs with some of the currently active BATters), because they were made just a bit different from, how I would have made them if I had the skills and patience. Including Matt's several buildings (specially the L1-L2 station set, which is incredible on its own way and gave me the inspiration to make my own LOT versions reusing those buildings), just a little tweak here, just a little tweak there, an alternative version etc... Does it matter? Not really. You can use what you get, you can start following your own vision and start BATting, or you can make compromissums (what I'm doing basicly) and combine the given BATs and your own vision to create something different.

I'm glad that wasn't around the peak time of SC4 BATting and modding. I still run into stories about conflicts. Someone write a bad review which generate a massive argument etc... It still does exist in these days, although the number have been lessen. Also there have been a tendency in the past couple of years, which made the "star-ratings" totally obsolete and I for one, was fighting for the removal of the star-rating system. In the past couple of years you can not give less then 5 stars, if there is nothing particular problem with the BAT (the modding is a bit different, because that can be fixed more easily). You can not give less then 5 stars, because you would imagine one building with a different colour, more/better nightlights (specially if the creator doesn't car about nightlighs, because one never use nightlights in his/her own game), bigger, smaller etc... if these things actually not mistakes, but artistic visions. Of course if the texturing off, the building is under or overscalled by mistake or lack of knowladge, then it's a different story. But like using huge amount of dependencies. You can not downrate something because of the amount of additional dependencies, what you need to download.
Now after 14-15 years of BATting, this is highly unlikely with a BATter, like Matt or Simmer2 (even if they have totally different artistic visions and their own conflicts). You can not downrate something (and on one hand it's a  criticism and cynism of the phenomena and on the other hand I actually agree with it), because your taste is different than the creator's. Therefore, when someone said, that "this model is absolute beautiful", then gave a 4 star as rating, I was also scretching my head and I was not wondering why the creator felt confusion about it too. So in most of the cases there is no reason to give less then 5 stars.
And in the case of Matt's, I don't think the 5 stars have gone into his heads, because he was the other person who put some time and energy besides me to try to convince the admins to get the rid of the Star-Rating system. When you go after a BATter like Matt, Simmer or 90 percent of the other BATters/or generally artists, do you need to face their EGO? Hehe, yes, sure you need to deal with that. They are BATters, artists after all, what they are creating, of course, those are like precious things for them, like a child of theirs in some way. I'm not so different in many ways, although I'm only making LOTs, just reusing those BATs and props etc... in a way. 

Anyway. I think this conversation can be closed after all. You made an observation, Matt proved you wrong, since he followed exact specifications of the "original" building, from there there is no constructive critcism, just differences of tastes, which is not worth to arguing on.

 I think that we should be more  respectful to these people who are the main reason of  this game running, 17 years after it came out. If something doesn't suit with our taste simply avoid it. I agree with Corinamarie.

I never even once suggested Matt made Falling Water for you.  This doesn’t seem to be a language barrier thing so I’m not sure why you’re having trouble comprehending my posts.

Hi matt, @mattb325 I don't know if it's exact what you taught me. whereas I do feel comfortable with the size now, even though I felt pain when I deleted those carve patterns which I spent hours on them. but less is more, Right?! I still need to tweak some details, However I believe I could handle the others, Thank you very much.
