Criticisms and observations are valid- they tell us what might have been. I don't see what the big deal is if you thought the Vandamm House should be wider ingame. I also know there is nothing more frustrating then seeing a good BAT which looks complete and ready to go be put on hold for 'standards' and 'quality'. Since I use BATs as old as 2004/2005, then if it looks as good as that level then I'm happy. It can always be improved later.

Sometimes BAT creators get precious about their creations and it only happens here. For instance I recall a few months ago an argument simmer2 had with someone about the outer surrounding walls of this lighthouse being too bright. I also know this isn't mattb325's first rodeo with Simtropolis and people commenting on his bats, he took a break from Simtropolis 3 or 4 years ago and stayed strictly in SC4D.

In SC4D there is much greater scrutiny of bats and everyone commenting is a bat creator themselves, thus they can provide relevant technical information with their comments and criticisms. I know this because I am a member of SC4D, but not a BAT creator. Thus you don't get arguments like this.

You have my support.

I'm not sure what there is to support here.

Not every bat is going to be perfect for every player. But not all criticism is constructive or accurate either. Scale is something new batters have to get accustomed to, and that's usually done via trial and error as much as any input received from others. @mattb325 is one of the most prolific batters in this game, certainly in the top 3 on any English-speaking sites, along with SimGoober and Pegasus, if he hasn't surpassed them yet. So I'm glad he hasn't been making single family homes the size of airport hangers all these years.

Of course, you're more than welcome to use Model Tweaker to make any adjustments you like, for your own personal use. Supersize it. Paint it pink. Go crazy.

@mattb325 your work is beautiful, no question, and I for one (and many others) are very grateful for your efforts. All this back and forth seems to be getting a little too personal and no good will come of it. I think there has been some over reacting and misunderstanding happening here. Matt as an artist / creator you have to expect some criticism (spoken or unspoken) will occur. It does not reflect on you personally or the quality of your work or nullify the respect of the vast majority, it is just the nature of the beast.

Jack, your criticism did seem a bit sharp. Your, seemingly, impish nature is ok in many other respects but your critiques could be more carefully thought out.

I think that we should be more  respectful to these people who are the main reason of  this game running, 17 years after it came out. If something doesn't suit with our taste simply avoid it. I agree with Corinamarie.

Thank you Jack, It looks like this statue as large as human, I'm afraid that we couldn't see them clearly in SimCity, Anyway, I plan to make three versions of them with 1*1/2*2/3*3, I thought that will be more convenient to everyone. Thank you Very much!

Sincerely,

You make them as big as you want, brother.

Many years ago, as a matter of survival, I made it a point to avoid minefields -- However......

I, personally, have gone to great effort to find and download every possible offering of the ART that has been generously shared with us by @mattb325 .

It is my sincere hope that he will continue to share his considerable talents and incomparable taste with the members of this site.

In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed.  But they produced Michael Angelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, and The Renaissance.

In Switzerland, they had brotherly love and five hundred years of peace.  And what did that produce?

The cuckoo clock !

You guys should get your facts right before attempting to gang tackle me like you're doing. Matt never made Falling Waters for me. It was already made, a while back for DEV, and someone gave me a link to it. He made the VD house for himself, and I 'joked around with him from time to time asking if he ever was going to release it. Why he's having a hissy fit about 1 benign comment is beyond me, and his biz. I think those 5 star ratings have gone to your heads. If you don't want anything but absolute praise and sycophantic worship, maybe you shouldn't upload anything.

I never even once suggested Matt made Falling Water for you.  This doesn’t seem to be a language barrier thing so I’m not sure why you’re having trouble comprehending my posts.

On 1/8/2020 you said “I should request some Frank Lloyd Wright architecture,” after that comment this FLW inspired home was released.  All I said was this was a nice companion to Falling Water, not that he made Falling Water for you.  Stop putting words in people’s mouths.

@mattb325, you are one of the best BATers we have. Your content really inspires me to keep playing after 17 years. I use everything you have ever created! I always get excited seeing new BATs from you. I hope you keep up the great work and don’t get discouraged. Your work is truly art!

Let’s get this thread back on track please, I’m ready to see more great content and people showcasing their work! 😊

Sorry for my poor english Wolf, Can you understand what I'm saying from this picture, I couldn't find out a proper word to say that. And I have no idea if it's a original design of Planetarium Hamburg Central Park, Or it's your creative design. Sorry!

This is just a simplified representation of the construction on the roof.
