Wallibuk recently uploaded another two old town houses, and since I grew quite fond of his work, I'm hereby sharing an attempt of mine to incorporate it into a small village of mine. I'm already planning to incorporate his houses into a larger town of mine, but this may have to wait a few weeks until the surrounding cities have at least been partially developed.

In case you want the links: His work is easy to find, you just need to search for his username and his content and you should find these Slovakian-style old town houses.

This is a small village at the intersection of two mayor roads that are running along the coast through an agraric area. As you can see, several centuries ago a monastery has been built, and through all this time, the surrounding fields have been taken care of by the monks and nuns living there. Over the time, a small village has developed right next to the monastery, and a castle has been erected in the forest with a narrow road winding through the forest. Nowadays, even a small restaurant has been built there because this castle is quite popular with the tourists.

I'm quite open for suggestions on how to improve this region. Especially concerning the monastery, which is quite large for such a small village and looks entirely out of place. I'm already thinking of sacrificing this one field to the right to place it there. And I'm thinking of replacing the chestnuts by beech trees. Hope you like the picture, nevertheless. Please forgive the lack of houses, but unfortunately this village is part of a large city tile that already has 120,000 inhabitants; therefore, it's rather hard to make my Sims move in.

I do have a I also made the which can be used alongside the Titanic if you like.

So you do!  I also forgot to mention the United States, currently rotting away in Philadelphia.  This isn't something I had thought of until now, but the recreation of these classic liners might help to bring another, less glamorous aspect into the game - how many times do you visit a waterfront city and see some old hulk that's been tied up and rusting away for the last 30 years?  Ploppable derelicts awaiting that renovation investment that never seems to come around.  Queen Mary got lucky.

Correlation doesn't imply causation, but it does waggle its eyebrows suggestively and gesture furtively while mouthing 'look over there'. - xkcd.com

I know the United States all too well. I really hope the ship will find a real home and get some much-needed restoration.

As for a model in SimCity, I took a Google SketchUp file from the 3d warehouse and rendered it as a BAT. Unfortunately, I won't upload it because it was someone else's model.

This proved to be a really difficult road to build. I tried to build as many smooth curves, diagonal stretches and FAR pieces. I think it has turned out well!  :)

Very good work, Niels!
Maybe with a touch of some MMP's here and there, this would be more than worthy of a Trixie-Winning City Journal!

the best thing with MMPs is less is better, Put road signs, if you put rocks there are always weeds growing in the cracks go out and look at a road and ditch look to see what grows  good luck

Or even telephone poles/power lines. Especially telephone poles are common in rural areas. Well, that is the case in the more rural areas of California about half an hour away from where I live.

Here's the Queen Mary as she appears now. Unlike the Titanic, I extruded the hull rather than building it separately.  It's still only a partial hull and I haven't even gotten around to building the bridge or adding any of the major details.

I need a break from ships for now. So I went back to one of my other projects (i'm about to overload my reactors if I add any more) that's been sitting on the back burner and I whipped this up in a matter of an hour. I figured the Hornet is not really the best way to represent my neighbor's air power; it had to be an Avro Arrow.

Nice work, Airman! I hope to see this as usable automata in the near future. ;)

The jets i'm working on will come in two versions- automata and as props that can be placed as MMP's.

There will be 12 aircraft total, including the Dassault Rafale, SU-27 Flanker, Eurofighter, J-10 and even the Saab Draken:

.......So like. Do you plan your cities out on paper first? Do you have a philosophy of building a city? Spread your hints, lol.

You sir, are very talented! I really like this, the eye for detail is insane. B-E-Utiful is what Bruce Almighty would say.

Looking forward to see more of this, do you have a CJ here?
