Release those? Why not... But I have to make sure they are well "balanced". These are lots that I have grownable with SC4PIM (an Englishman from the South Oxfordshire district gave me several tips on using SC4 tools) and they only have the basic values. I need to learn more about adjusting values based on the size of the lot. I'm sure to find what I want by searching @rsc204's posts. (I'm not sure of the translation.... I hope it's understandable)

If you are using PIMX (which is confusingly also called SC4PIM) it will automatically calculate all these values for you based on the size of the lot. If you assign a reasonable filling degree (there are instructions in the PIMX User Manual included in the download), all the stats will be correctly calculated for you - no extra changing is needed unless you specifically want to.

A re-re-lot. Decided to redo a relot I did a few years ago that really never came out right. Have a better grasp on using programs now.

Hi everyone !

 

To give a shot at a first RHW mod region I went back at Maxisland and decided to start a rural / middle-sized-towns region which I called Cybeles. Here it is for now, with 62.000 inhabitants :

All started on the small Egine Island, a little bit shy of 2.000 people.

 

The main city is Le Pirée, with 27.000 inhabitants.

 

No highway crosses the city itself, since the motorway passes through the plains between Le Pirée and L'Acropole on a south/north axis. An expressway connects both of them. L'Acropole is a smaller town of 9.400 inhabitants, mostly famous for its temple ruins.

 

Here is my first attempt at a RHW exit. It was a bit tricky since a railroad passes runs near the motorway and I was not familiar with the tools yet.

 

While building Mégare, I was feeling a bit more confident. I particularly love the southern part of the town, with the harbour, the motorway exit and the expressway going west to the future town of Antirion.

I have raised $70 of the $150 I need.. I doubt I'll reach that figure so if you send me $30 I'll buy the kit (I'll put the other $100).

I am going to give those who have supported me in all my purchases an exclusive BAT (which one is yet to be defined).

Just some small industrial development close to the highway exit

 

A short trip towards the central area of this tile a small CBD has been build:

 

After 92 ingame years and a population of  77.000 it was time to raise education and establish some civic services. So the Anderson college and a small urban museum was founded close to new city hall and courthouse. The surrounding commercials developed quickly. First grown building here was the curved black deucalion, so citizens decided to mark it historical. I´m still not convinced if i like it or not.....

 

I disliked the development close to the railway so here you see in the lower right two commercials and the Bata shoe fabric as plopped rci lots in this area:

 

Everything far from being finished, I`m still on steep learning curve. Just few mmp´s no terrain or tree mod, just basic traffic infrastructure etc.

 

To give you an idea of the surroundings here an overview of the city tile at the moment:

 

And the position in the region. I shrinked the Altana region (originally I found the size a little overwhelming...), actual name is Altana 2 (not very creative naming, lol), population around 3,1 millions:

Hope I don`t bore you with these (old school?) pics, but right now I´m in the mood of sharing....

As a quick update I switched to the neighbouring more urban tile "Inner Bay" to have a look if the commuters find work here. The relevant connections are rrw and maxis highway in the upper right. The small industrial an commercial area there should serve parts of them. Unfortunately around 50% of the +/- 5000 rail commuters prefer to travel into the next tile, while a few of them take the trip even towards the CBD:

Everybody travelling by bus or car seems to be employed:

For those who are interested: the inner city next to the old harbour, transformed into a big marina, surrounded by some historical industry buildings, big old market hall, modern fishers market and the historical watchtower which serves a museum right now. If you take a closer look you can find some more cultural stuff like art museum, aquarium, opera house, moma, university, city zoo, stadium and of course the big cathedral in the heart of the city (as I live near cologne/ germany IRL I can see the last upper peaks of the towers out of my kitchen window...).

Have to get rid of the annoying maxis boutiques and skyscrapers in the future, ongoing process, there have been even more of them.....

I know this is a bit ahead of schedule, but I’m tied-up with business Friday – so this seemed the best thing to do.

Unfortunately – there is no prop pack with this chapter. I am sorry – but “AP” has been called away on “real-life” business and may be gone for two or three weeks.

WE WILL publish more prop packs as soon as possible.

Inspired by Haarlemmergold's Dutch buildings and Paeng's Kingston Market, I used PIM to convert a model from Haarelmmergold's Dutch Farmhouse Pack into a CS$$ building and created a little W2W farmer's market corner lot. Fun fact: Did you know that 13 of Haarlemmergold's 107 files on the STEX have corrupted Lot Configurations and will never grow in your cities? 

What do you think, could this use anything else?

very nice lotting & modding  would like to see this on the exchange   and yes there are many lots on the exchange that will never grow as I have discovered over the years   unfortunately I didn't keep track of the ones I corrected
