WOW. Is this an existing airport ? (I don't remember Vancouver's airport being like that... but it was a long time ago :-) )

Come and visit. We got home made cookies. http://community.simtropolis.com/journals/journal/5386-pr-crastinas-travels-sc4/

Yo, guys --

After a three year hiatus (no work on my cities), I'm purging my plugins folder in preparation to return...(YEAH !).  This will involve creating some new lots from the work that has been done by the more talented members of the community -- since I have zero "batting" skills.

One problem I found on some of the older lots in the game is that they lacked either adequate night lighting, or had NO night lighting at all.

Does anybody know if anyone ever created (recently) any NEW "prop-lighting" that could be added to lots ??  Especially flood lights for statues and building fronts ??  Or "rendered" elevated lighting props that could be added to taller buildings or even ships?  Possibly crafted in arbitrary vertical offsets -- 7m, 15m, etc, etc......

I know this is a bit "off-topic", but most of the more active members drop by this thread, so I figured I'd give it a shot.

In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed.  But they produced Michael Angelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, and The Renaissance.

In Switzerland, they had brotherly love and five hundred years of peace.  And what did that produce?

The cuckoo clock !

(Harry Lime to Holly Martins...Graham Greene's THE THIRD MAN...1949)

Fire and rescue station Hamburg Veddel   5x3

The brick building is located on an Elbe island of the customs port belonging to the port of Hamburg. It was built in 1927/28 according to plans by Fritz Schumacher.

The building is used by the Hamburg fire brigade as the F 33 fire and rescue station. In addition to Veddel Georgswerder, Rothenburgsort, Kirchdorf and the area of the port between the Hamburg wholesale market and the old Elbe tunnel.

Try asking the members on this thread:

They are usually very good (and quick) at finding even the most obscure game assets.  Good luck!

The building is used today as a community center, including a modern extension.

Beautiful! I'm just wondering, would it be possible to render without the "polizei" sign, so that it can be used in different countries and contexts? I don't see it in the original either.

Raymond, your sculptures are truly gorgeous, however I'm not convinced by the tiles on the ground. Perhaps you could just do without tiles and just leave the pedestals? In that way the pedestals would blend with custom pavement textures, plus each sculpture would have more individuality.

Yes Justforfun, You are absolutely right there, The ground belonged to the first model, After that one, I got many advices from other experts and abandoned some of them and the size, I just keep the ground so that I could easily got a feeling of the whole Lot, Well, you know, I'm not an artist. *:D

Anyways, I will only keep the Statues and the base when I publish them, Meanwhile, I will publish another version just the Statues itself included by the help with dear Matt @mattb325, Just In case someone would prefer props of them could be edited with LotEditor, Thank you for your reminder, I do appreciate it!

Sincerely,

-- Raymond

I thought I would be obnoxious and self-aggrandizing today,

I proudly present the first ever BSC LEX Superior Collection, Suburbia. An all-inclusive set of Residentials from stage 1 to 6ish. Of course, I contributed nothing but a bit of typing to put it all together, and my mad image editing skillz. So don't bother downloading the file. Instead, put the LEX Dependency Tracker to work!i3xJHR2.jpg

Dear Nate, I think you are kind of too modest, This work looks deceptively simple, but It needs to put more energy and effort into that, Furthermore, all of us will be benefited by your selflessness, please forgive my english, all I can say is that I have great respect for you and Tibi @Tyberius06 and other selfless people. Thank you very much!*:thumb:
