This is an interpretation of The Ben Rose House, made famous by the movie Ferris Bueller's day off. I say interpretation, because I have added the walkway that connects the main house to the diagonally arranged pavilion. The lot is a 6x6 mayors house (the seasonal trees are all lotted, so you can just plop it down) and is designed to be placed on a hill.

With its 83,400 inhabitants, Aldemar is neck-to-neck against Imbin, and has commited to the development of a very robust network to further cement its leading position.

 

 

With one of the most prosperous and educated workforces, the city commands a lot of production, and consumption, of all kinds of goods!

 

 

And to meet both demands, the northwestern industrial park was retrofitted to add the Southwestern Rota Freight Distribution Center!

 

 

This facility includes warehouses for freight sorting and a marshaling yard, where all sorts of inbound freight trains are disassembled, rearranged and re-assembled for their respective destinations. To the west it has Silurum, Alba, Brandt, Zacien and the southern wide of the future International Airport. To the south lie Aldemar and the Geyser Canyon. To the east there's Nida, Rockford and Ingena, while to the north lie Cameran, Brixen and Mayfield.

 

 

Given the vast size of the facilities, the Royal Railway Corporation also stocks large amounts of materials and equipment for dedicated railway maintenance in the area.

 

 

And here we have a panorama of the predominantly hi-tech industrial park and the warehouse facilities of the freight distribution center, where seven buildings are used to sort merchandise between intermodal containers.

Its a NZ Railcar - more properly a rail-motor which was usually operated on low demand services in New Zealand up till the late 1970s. They were diesel powered 210HP (about the power of a 2.0L mid-sized SUV these days) and could carry about 40 passengers - they were usually operated as double but could run independently.  A fun ride.

Haven't posted any game updates in a while, mainly because I've decided to rebuild my entire region.  I've been playing this game (and collecting it's plugins) since it was released.  I was getting lots of crashes in a certain city tile again, so after all these years I decided to finally just clean out and totally organize my plugins folder.  All the duplicate files, the files I didn't want, conflicts, etc were pulled out.  The game is running much better and I'm able to run it on my newer MacBook (with Bootcamp) without any issues so far which I was not able to do before.  With things seemingly running smoothly now I've decided just to do a fresh start.  Right now, I'm continuing with my airport.

This is YVR Airfield Gate One and it's the main checkpoint for access to YVR's airfield roadway network.  It functions in game as a small police station and has a little police kiosk in addition to a small control tower to monitor the east edge of the airfield.

First, thanks for all the likes on my last post!  Here are a few more shots from YVR:

This is a section of Concourse G in Terminal 2 which is the International Terminal.  It is primarily home to Delta Airlines but also includes all US bound regional flights (CRJ type planes).
(In my plugin cleanup, it seems I've misplaced my jetway extender prop...can't find it anywhere.  If you know where I could find that prop file, please let me know!!)

This is the ALS approach for Runway 08 Right.  It is actually placed in the YVR Extension tile next to the primary airport tile.

 

This last picture, I wanted to know if someone might be able to help me.  You'll notice the white concrete roads running through the grass...I'd like to change those up to a darker texture that blends in with the airfield a bit better.  I already have a image file made and appropriately sized to be made into a base texture.  I'm just not sure how to get it in game as a base texture.  It also doesn't help that many of the external SC4 programs are buggy at best on a MacBook, I've been trying to follow the online tutorials but am not having much luck.  If someone wouldn't mind creating a single base texture for me, I already have the image file ready to go, I would be hugely grateful.  I really just don't like the way the white roads look here.
