Ok, I admit it: I'm only jealous. Buuuut I'm getting there. Maybe this winter...

THAT's what they all say !!!

(I should talk......Had computer problems 6 months ago and I've been trying to do "housekeeping" on my external HD's ever since.  I keep promising myself I'll start the game up again soon -- soon -- real soon......)

In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed.  But they produced Michael Angelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, and The Renaissance.

In Switzerland, they had brotherly love and five hundred years of peace.  And what did that produce?

The cuckoo clock !

@pclark06 You are doing an excellent job adding all these contemporary models in game.  They are sorely needed!

In that pic and a couple of others I noticed a bit of Z fighting (look at the lower right side of the building). Assuming that is a flat concrete model, the way to fix it is to raise said model a bit.

In Xpim, highlight the model in question and hold the shift key while tapping on the up arrow. 0.1 meter usually does it, if not then raise it to 0.2 meter.

Cheers

awesome! thank you. will get to it tonight or tomorrow, not sure when due to other stuff going on. I know for sure I have had issues with z line conflicts, lol. these will be a part of a high wealth shopping center, which is something we don't really have (everything we have is medium wealth).

Hi everybody!

The Dependency Monster has hit the exchanges again...
I managed to put together the readme, so I uploaded the Heretic GLR Station and Terminus Pack volume 3:

34 Dependency links (have fun! :) ), but if you have the previous GLR sets, you already have most of the deps, so only a few more additional what you need.
Also continouing my restoration/legacy upload project I brought 3 NHP DMScopio upload to the STEX which haven't been available here. There is a chance that SimCity.cn has copies of these uploads, but that site almost unreachable for folks from Europe or the US, and since the original sources (DMScopio's blog and webpage) are dead, I got the permission from the admins @Cyclone Boom and @CorinaMarie to bring these files here.

Well, I'm still looking for his University pack from the summer of 2007, which was released on his BLOG (reference link here: http://dmscopio.blogspot.com/2007/06/update-university-pack.html), so if anybody have that so called DMScopio University Pack that would be awesome to bring that '"last" lost gem of his here.

Well, if I have the power I'm gonna upload either today or tomorrow my already introduced relots of Caribou's Slope Transitions for GLRs.

yIOAqIq.jpg

zwwTLDq.jpg

That's it for now!

- Tyberius

Thank you, restoring these DMScopio files; as you say unreachable for about any ordinairy player. Still some lost treasures to go ! Caribou subway slope had some issues, or a cosmetic update ? Next maybe some attention may go multiple track elevated diagonal rail or glr stations,°; dual track elevated diagonal we have a lot yet to make it look like a real diagonal multitrack elevated diagonal station lot ?

Well, rather technical update. The original Caribou's Lots are working as transit stations, they don't have custom paths (meaning: the modding part looks like this: el-rail-pedestrian, pedestrian-subway and/or bus, pedestrian-elrail/GLR - even if they had direct switches the automata couldn't climb up or down on the ramps due to lack of transit paths). The vehicles arriving on one side and drop the passangers of, then they change/switch network and get on and departing on the other side. Also because they don't have custom paths the UDI or automata can NOT pass through on the lot without breaking its route. They don't work well with the FLUP system...
But for my relots I made custom transit paths and "switched" off the transit station function. So by default the L2 to L0 transition have only El-Rail transit switches, the underground transition have direct El-Rail to Subway transition, but no pedestrians are involved which means peds are can NOT get on or off from the trams. Also the UDI won't break. The real extra is that the L2 to underground transition is compatible with FLUPs or Underground Tram networks. This is what you can see on the above pictures.

It's not up to me. I'm only making LOTs, I can not do BATs/models, and we don't really have to many diagonal stations escpecielly not elevated ones.

    Thread update - new poll

    Hi all,

This thread has become incredibly popular for both posts and views thanks to you!

I think it's getting to the point that we might want to split this thread in two. That way we can have one thread to showcase works in progress in-game and another for the development of lots, BATs, mods, etc.

I have added a poll to this thread so you can vote. I added a 'other' section if you have different ideas. Please post your ideas here if you have a suggestion.

    Thanks, your input is appreciated!

    -----

Now back to your regularly scheduled thread. Cool incline railway @kschmidt!

The problem is because of alerts ... nobody views the other threads anymore and so everyone posts everything in this one... seldomly do we see the others being used outside of the interchange thread. Therefore, there should be better enforcement, and possibly the creation of a couple new threads... possibly in a way that results in this one being shutdown.

Thank you about the funiclaire railway comments ! Actual in Engelberg where this is sited is such structure with sucessive cable car to Jochpas !

Thread breaking up, you´re plugins thread sufferd the same faith; should a populair for thread be specific about what the title say or aswell in this case a throughly technical tail be allowed about future file sharing structure and how this suppose to be. Afther all what to be discused was done and died out ! Thread structure is there to structure the forum and reduce maintenance. Show us what your developing should be the place for Bat and Lot developer as this specific for reloting and modeling. Show us your gameplay should be the place where pre CJ stuff be placed. Fresh start, no one will mis anything, unless you´re not subscribed to these threads !

    Sincerely yours,

    kschmidt

I voted "NO" aswell, because sometimes I showcase city building and lotting projects in the same post. Well, once I'm returning to playing with the game instead of making new lots and toying with the PIM-X, Reader, Path creator, SC4 Tool, I tend to show my city building progresses more frequently and using the other threads too...

Show us what you´re working on as to the Sharing plugins folder´s is completly within it´s supposed purpose target live gameplay and bat-lot development showing. Simtropolis beside SC4Devotion hosting technical development nothing wrong. Simtropolis recent server breakdown and speed problems won´t benefite of threads wich grow oversized, yet now their are 200 pages of only this thread, if this continues this will double with all negative consequences. Cleaning up the thread older pages is one way suggested split would solve this, keep hanging on forever to this thread logical human response, one like´s what one have, new is allway´s terrifying !

    Sincerely yours,

    kschmidt

    Voted "No" --

I rather like coming to THIS ONE to see what everyone is up to and what new tricks they've devised.

Also -- if you post something to this thread and ask for suggestions -- you always get them -- and usually more than you expected.  And you get feedback in a matter of minutes !

Everyone, for the most part, seems to be more "congenial" and certainly more willing to contribute an opinion.

I owe a debt of thanks to a great many people on this thread for suggestions and encouragement on my ever-evolving search for a "style".  (Not to mention the comments that remind me how to do stuff I've managed to forget from time to time.  The old biological computer ain't what it used to be. * )

No for me too -- same reasons as the others. Some batlotters have their own workshop thread to which they can refer here and we can go there for more specific discussions ; and there is the Can't find it thread. Seems to me those three options are enough.

Hmmm... I'm tempted to vote no on the poll, I tend to split my SC4 time more or less evenly between the LE/PIM and the actual game. I don't know if two separate threads would each get their due attention, especially because activity dwindles at certain times of the year. I'll think it over and then vote.

Buut It's been really nice to have something to see in this thread almost daily, that is for sure!! :ohyes:
