.......So like. Do you plan your cities out on paper first? Do you have a philosophy of building a city? Spread your hints, lol.

I don't have a plan before planning the city. At most of the time I just try and modify over and over again until I'm satisfied with the outcome. In order to get what I want, I changed the shoreline a lot.

The only thing that I think may be tricky is the utility of model tweaker to rescale some buildings to a unified size. This method makes them look as if they were from one city. In other words, most of the commercial towers I use are forced into 4*4 or 3*3, even though they are not originally this size.

You sir, are very talented! I really like this, the eye for detail is insane. B-E-Utiful is what Bruce Almighty would say.

Looking forward to see more of this, do you have a CJ here?

Thank you so much for the kind words. :)  I don't have a CJ here since Coos Bay is the only city in built and it's far from complete. Maybe I'll launch a CJ to post some pics when more progress is done.

It's sorta WIP, before I decided WTH with it, and just dumped it as it is. Not the whole thing, but I'm rounding the pics together slowly.

Your picture looks really good, especially with the roadside and the grass everywhere. However, you should reconsider the placement of your recycling centers. Their entrances facing either the tracks or open grass looks really awkward imo. How about connecting them with Dirt or Gravel Roads?

Yeah, I should've fixed that, but I got a bit lazy and like I said, kinda left it how it was. I thought linking it by MagLev would (which are currently just props :P ) would make up for it :P

here's what I'm working on...I actually could use some suggestions on the full interchange for this, I've got it 3/4 of the way there but there's something missing and I'm not very good with RHW yet.  could someone take a look?

It's a good start, but try using a slope mod (this one is a good one: )

And use that slope mod and the on-slope transitions to create something like this:

(although personally I would have made the highway go over the avenue and the offramps/avenue sit flat)

They look like they're under the Fractional Angle (FAR) exits. It takes some getting used to. I've been using RHW/NAM for a couple years now but with good guidance and a keen eye for detail you should be pretty well off. Keep it up!

One of my old steam ferries getting a facelift. Larger textures and practicing pixel artistry might pay off for me when I upload these eventually.

I will be adding transparency to the railings and other features like the lifeboat davits.

Wow, this is really beyond genius! Very beautiful arrangement of buildings and nature. Sorry to annoy you with questions, but can you post me the link to all these buildings? And to the path to the left of this picture?

Steam ferry nearing completion. I completely redid the textures and edited the model, giving it all the bells and whistles (well more so railings and better textures). but i'm not finished yet. I have to make some last adjustments, give the model transparent textures and I have another three to go.

Needed a break from the code for the sc4 buddy project, so I downloaded SketchUp and tried to play with it for a bit.

W2ikDGt.png

This is a rough sketch of the old stock exchange in Copenhagen. A building I've always loved. Especially the spire. 4 dragon tails twisted around it, how cool is that?

128 meters long, 21 meters wide, 18 meters to the rooftop, 56 meters to the top of the spire.

The lookout part in the tower was particularly annoying and time consuming. And the base of the tower is a bit too long compared with the picture.

I have no idea if I'll ever work on this again, but it was quite fun to try.

Hey peeps, My regional power plant in progress. I am looking for a waterintake building. I am currently improvising, using watertreatment tubes along with seawall culverts and drains. If anyone knows of a waterintake building, please let me know. Thanks in advance :-)
