  4. Hello everyone, i got 400k from gambling report
  5. Hi there, I'm having a problem getting hotels to spawn; I'm building a gambling/culture city that is going pretty well, at the moment the city have 5 casinos (1 luxury hotel full with $$$ gambling addons, 2 sleek and 2 cheap with full $ and $$ gambling addons), all the 3 possible landmarks (Edificio Copan, Empire State Building and Sydney Opera House) and the Pro Stadium; the city have all forms of public transportation except streetcars (3 ferry and boat terminal, one train station and 1 municipal airport with 4 passengers addons and 4 runways); the city have a draw of 65k/85k with more then 1k tourist/h and it's going decently (1kk$/day profit) but I'd like to get some hotels. The problem is that no matter what I do they somehow refuse to spawn; I tried running the Sydney and Pro Stadium events everyday for quite some time, bulldozing some medium density commercial from all wealth class every day and the city is not at the beginning of year 6 but not a single hotel spawned; I could plop them with the plop mod but before doing that I'd like to get some hotels to spawn naturally. Is there anything that prevent hotels from spawning while playing offline? Am I doing something wrong or am I being just incredibly unlucky? Thanks in advance for helping, Paraffine
  6. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6kATuiFcPIo Welcome back it's been too long, hasn't it?
  7. I have 1 active (and 1 closed) Roman luck casino and 1 recently put-in sleek casino (just to temporarily get money from the medium wealth). I have 4 high density hotels next to them. I also have the Dutch windmill, Arch de Triomphe and the Statue of Liberty. (see Images, attached). I have tried running it for a while with 2 Roman luck casinos active, no medium hotels, nothing apart from docks for inter-city/region transport and an elite tourism crown. I was losing about 10000/hour and sometimes dipping to 30000/hour and apart from one or two ships with some on, no high wealth gamblers. I don't really know what to do, any suggestions? Images.zip

I have tweaked parkerwyoung's Casino Overhaul Mod to now have wealth-exclusive casinos. You can now build a city which gets only high wealth or medium wealth tourists. I tested this mod with the Elegant Casino (High Wealth Only) and have attached screens as proof. Note that if you place a landmark, this mod will not work and you will get other wealth tourists. To use this mod as is intended, DO NOT PLACE ANY LANDMARKS. This is intended to be an OFFLINE-ONLY mod. Installation: NOTE: If you have parkerwyoung's CasinoOverhaul package file in ...SimCity\SimCityUserData\Packages, remove the file from the Packages folder. 1. Place "Mod-Nexus91110-WealthExclusiveCasinos.package" in ...SimCity\SimCityUserData\Packages 2. Place the provided "SimCity-Scripts_287520926.package" in ...SimCity\SimCityUserData\Packages 3. Place "Mod-Parker-CasinoPlopExtension-v1.0" in ...\SimCity\SimCityData I have written in the "ReadMe.txt" file what changes I have made to parkerwyoung's Casino Overhaul mod. I have also made some changes to the number of signs you can place for some casinos. This mod has all the features of parkerwyoung's Casino Overhaul Mod. Now you can bring in only medium wealth or high wealth or low wealth tourists. Have fun creating the ultimate rich people resort !!! Special thanks to: Oppie, creator of SimCityPak: http://simcitypak.codeplex.com/ parkerwyoung, creator of CasinoOverhaulMod and for helping me out with the technical aspects of this mod

  11. Mayor Juan Ford has just signed a deal that will allow a few construction companies to come in and create a more "level field". Construction has begun already on Eohat Island when rumblings of Marriott Hotels wanting to open a new establishment, on the island. (Thank you to everyone for the Slope Mod suggestions. It looks amazing.)
  12. Hey guys, this is my first post in this forum and I would like to talk about Casinos today. I'm from Brazil, where Casinos are prohibited by law, and I have been playing Simcity for a long, long, long time. I thought that my "experience" playing this game so far, would help me building a Casino City, but it wouldn't. Everytime I tried to bring a Casino city to life, I failed when I put the Sci-Fi Casino. Because of that, I've started spend my time in something else. I went to the top in Trade, Eletronics, Oil and Metal. But no Casinos. When I get vacations from my University, I started working in this kind of city again, and I will show to you a "timeline" to follow to build the best casino city! Yes, I finally did it! First of all, at the moment you create your city, go in the Casino submenu and click in "guide". This will help you a lot. Put the first Gambling House, in a avenue not so far from your city entry and near a train station. And a police station VERY CLOSE to the casino area. When this GH reach aprox 20k/h, put another, right next to the first. When both of your Gambling Houses reaches 20k/h, time to put the Sci-Fi Casino and the bigger bus terminal. About this time, you have to do: Add more cells and police cars to the police station. Put monuments like Tower of Pisa, Liberty Statue, Eiffel Tower, Washington monument or Giralda near of your casinos. And a show house for medium and lower class, like the Expo Center or Globe Theater. Every night, make a show in both or just in one, this will help attract tourists to your city. When you reach Level 2, put the Games division in the headquarters. This will allow you to put more game modules in your casinos, attracting more tourists. With this, you will be very close to go to Level 3 in Casino Specialization, but it is not enough. Time to put the Luzidio. If your city is small, I mean, with a lot of mountains or water, you can just put another police station. However, if it is a full size map, put the bigger, the police district. Keeping make events/shows in your city. If you have water, put the cruise module in your ferry station. This should bring the first high end tourists. The mid-range casino, Luzidio, is the most profitable casino. With it, you will reach Level 3. Put the hospitality division. Why? This will permit your tourists to stay in your city more time. Now, you should have a good profitable casino city. But it is not enough. Time to put the Elegant Casino. About this time, you should have the following in your city: In your police district, make sure that you have increase the police cars to the max and put at least two cell blocks. A bus terminal increased to the max too. If you have space, put another ferry station and train station. Make sure that you have at least 3 kick-ass monuments near your casino area. Before put the Luzidio, put trams in your avenues, to link all the city areas to your casino area. WARNING: Casinos are really unstable. Make sure that you are making profits with your events at the Expo Center or whatever else. To help bring more high end tourists, make room for Sydney Opera House. This will bring a LOT high end tourists. Keep having events until you think that the high-ends tourists numbers are fine to you. (The mid-range casino should be crowded by now with high-end tourists, near to the capacity of them) Put the Elegant Casino (with hotels modules). Remember this casino is very expensive to maintain, so put it when you have a 1.000.000+ in your city funds. Just to make sure you won't fail. In addition of that, this casino is very unstable. But don't get rid of it. Make more events in the Sydney Opera. After a couple times, stop it. Just keep making events in the Expo Center. This will make your high-end tourists go to the Elegant, since Sydney Opera is having nothing. By now, your Elegant should be profitable finally. So, wait until you reach 400k of profit to make the last improvement to the Casino headquarters. Here are some photos of my two Casino cities, Berkeri and Petra: Berkeri: Petra: A nice monster. Any doubts or tips? Talk to me here! I would be glad to help. And sorry for any English mistake... haha
  13. This is a city I made pre patch in a region which has a city that provides all the utilities to my tourism, gambling city. My casino city had only 8,000 tourists per day before the patch and 4 casinos where empty most of the time not making real profit. Now post patch 2.0 this city has 65,000 tourists a day and in total generates $2 million income. Here is a in depth view of this city:
  14. TD TAB Betting

    Version 1.0

    1,300 Downloads

Feel like losing some money? You've come to the right place. The TAB (Totalisator Agency Board), is your local sports betting venue. From nags, to dogs, to pollies, that's right, every kind of animal can be bet on at the TAB. First opened in Victoria in 1961, the TAB was a government department until the 90s when privatisation reared it’s ugly head. You are most likely to see TABs in working class areas, where people can afford it the least - but want it the most... The TAB comes in 4 lot configurations: 1x1, 1x2, 1x3 and a 1x2 corner lot. They will most likely count towards future TD reward chains. These lots are growable only but if you want to plop one you can use the extracheats.dll plugin to do so. Compatibility This download is only compatible with SimCity 4 incl. the "Rush Hour" expansion pack or SimCity 4 Deluxe. Installation Simply add the folder to your documents SC4 plugins folder. Uninstallation For uninstalling the files, bulldoze every lot from this download in your cities and delete the files from the plugins folder afterwards. Dependencies To avoid brown boxes, as well as to ensure proper functionality, make sure these files are in your plugins folder: TD Essentials BSC MEGA Props - MJB Vol01.dat BSC MEGA Props - SG Vol 01.dat Can't see the lights at night? In order to see the nightlighting, you must install the EP1-Update 1 for Rush Hour/SimCity 4 Deluxe (also found at sc4devotion.com in case you have problems at the official site), and then afterwards, install the SC4-Update for nightlighting (note: you have to be logged in in order to see the download link). If this update isn't installed, you won't see any lighting effects on custom BAT buildings. Disclaimer The usual rules apply, feel free to modify this to your hearts content, but any uploads containing original parts of this lot must link to it as a dependency (unless prior arrangement has been made). Credits Cheers to dobdriver/drunkapple for the final mod work on this (adding the audio file, queries & OG numbers). Here's to TD!
