NAM Traffic Simulator and Data View Support Thread
simster007 replied to z1's topic in NAM & Transit Networks
why don`t you give it try? It´s an easy process once you installed one of the tools, you don`t loose your unpacked content so you can always step back if you need and like to. It makes the whole gaming process faster, easier, less trouble concerning ctd´s and saving issues - I tried it myself some times ago when I was forced to (MAC issue when usinh to many single files as plugins) after long time hesitating like you, but it was a real gamechanger! I know that the windows and mac versions are different and that it maybe will not solve your issue. Just be assured that datpacking is no harm for your game- 336 Replies

Is it a big effort and is anybody able to produce a silencer like this: but for killing the sounds of fountains, ships (like ferries and cruise ships) and waterpumps/ water treatment plants? I´m on the old 32bit Mac Version of the Game and these sounds create annoying loops when starting the simulation. Only solution is (and sometimes even that does not work) to load a city tile, zoom in an area far away from any lot creating these sounds and hope the best.... Maybe there will be some more sound-effects with these issues, but atm these are the ones I identified mor or less. THX!

Don´t know if it's worth commenting this, but I'm missing a sort of "sorry" or "oops" in your attitude. You have these thousands of downloads from creators spending their free time for free, downloaded for free from websites that have to be maintained. Some of these creators are right now rescuing a complete website and tons of these downloads in their free time for free,. You are just underlining your poor little issues concerning the control about what might be new free content for you: without any form of excuse for: So here is my Sorry for not being able to understand your posts at all.

SC4D LEX Legacy - BSC Mattb325 IRM Industrial Pack
simster007 posted a topic in SC4 - Custom Content
I´m using both IRM and most of mattb325´s original lots in my cities: do I have to bulldoze the existing lots before installing these IRM modded versions? BTW: thx for these versions and the new uploads! -
SC4D LEX Legacy - BSC Mattb325 IRM Industrial Pack
simster007 replied to simster007's topic in SC4 - Custom Content
Thx, that´s why i decided to not use them in my actual region. -
I think I have asked @rsc204 already about this some times ago. The concrete fillers in this set just contain these two lots: Concrete (both $$ & $$$) Half Tile Diagonal Filler 2 Tile Extender Apart from these I use already grunge concrete overhanging fillers (i think from paeng) and of course the IRM and SFBT Fillers. I would like to extend industrial areas like these towards diagonal rail or roads with the same textures as on the lots: BTW: As you see I don´t like the dirt rail texture (can´t remember which mod that is....)
-
I´m using very much diagonal fillers like these and others: I don´t know how to edit lots by myself (I´m playing on a mac with limited access to pc hardware - and even without knowledge about installing sc4 and the needed tools on a pc.....), so I would appreciate if anybody could create the following additions: Concrete overhanging fillers (I-M an I-HT texture) like in these picture from that filler set: I´m missing mostly the following: Half - Half_L/_R - X2 Half Additionally diagonal fillers half concrete I-M/ I-HT and the other half low wealth gras. I don´t have any idea how much work this would be, but if anybody could find the time for this I would appreciate it a lot! Thx in advance!

I decided to not use the modded lots in my actual region. So getting an answer is not important for me. -
SC4D LEX Legacy - BSC Mattb325 IRM Industrial Pack
simster007 replied to simster007's topic in SC4 - Custom Content
I know about that since I`m using the IRM and also non IRM modded Industrial lots. That works for me. That´s what my question is about: if it´s only the density that is changed, will it become an issue to "override" the existing lots in my cities? As @Tyberius06pointed out this pack works as: -
Take a look here: https://www.sc4nam.com/docs/feature-guides/real-railway/
-
As the LEX is down is there any chance to find this pack somewhere else? thx
-
Thanks a lot!

My workaraound is like this and works: 1 Create a new folder which u want to use for items to be packed by the datpacker (source folder), name and place it however you like 2 Create a new folder which u want to use as target folder for the datpacker to save the dats (target folder), name and place it however you like 3 use the "browse" buttons to define these two folders as source/ target in the datpacker 4 move your items (the network addon mod folder or what ever) to be packed in the source folder 5 press start button 6 the dats should occur in the target folder 7 the orginal unpacked files are still in the source folder, you should remove and maybe store them as backups somewhere else before next packing

IMO a look into mattb325`s content might be a good start. The lots are beautiful, perfectly modded, grow easy and - especially for new users: don´t need many dependencies. https://community.simtropolis.com/profile/91964-mattb325/content/?type=downloads_file

Why isn't IHT growing in this specific area?

Happy to hear that. I made the same experience, that's why I suggested it. -

Maybe you could try to plop a few parks. -
Don´t know how underground glr works in that case - I use RTMT incl. addon which contains ramps from GLR in Road or Avenue to subway and subway stations on Road or Avenue for these situations: The Ninja Stations can be connected to the subway by small stubs: It´s a tricky installation but works very well:

I just installed some new lots and experienced an issue with these: Fully funded they show a capacity of just 330 tickets, which leads to "museum underfunded" alarm in the game: This lot from the creator works better (3300 capacity): Just in case if the issue cant't be replicated: I'm using the 32bit Mac Version of the game, don't know if it could be a rep bug like in transit stations. Does anybody know which entries in the the reader should be changed to get higher capacities? Thx
-
Great, thx a lot!
-
@rsc204: Thx for your quick reply. I would really appreciate this, including everything, even the radius. 100000 Capacity with monthly costs of $10.000, what do you think? What are these for? There are many downloads around including SC4Dec files.

Got a quick SC4 question?... Ask here!
simster007 replied to City_Slider's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
Short answer: No it doesn´t. At least as far as I experienced using it. -
That´s what I'm concerned about, too. I decided to tweak it in a different way and tested it already. I removed them from their original position in the old central industrial area which now is developing into a business district. I rebuild the walls on outer shorelines which are + will be industrial areas in the future. And: MARK THESE WALLS AS: DON`T PLOP IF YOU'RE NOT 100% SURE ABOUT WHAT THEY AFFECT! Shouldn´t there be a topic like: "lots w/ experienced unexpected issues"? I´m not the one who is able to check every "new" plugin about all properties, at least at present, and never thougt seawalls could contain such strange details - until my city got into trouble and read this topic. At least: I had a backup and found a workaround....
