I don't know what happened but it seems I cannot improve my Mayor Rating any further. I have substantial park, police, fire, medical, education coverage, smooth traffic, full employment, and low tax. I finished many U-Drive-It missions that says MR would be improved, but no. I waited for several months and the bar is still red. Is this a BUG? How can I improve my Mayor Rating?

I recently started zoning in my city and I'm only at 58k and it's not going so well. I've never seen so many riots in my life, I have huge, mostly empty schools and tons of dumb Sims, my mayor rating is red, and I'm constantly getting notifications about unhappy sims. I have TONS of parks, low pollution, low crime, short commutes, taxes at 0% and everything I usually have when I start seeing 'Mayor A Giant Governing Gifts' notifications. Another oddity is that my residential demand is off the charts. I had the radical ordinance mod installed briefly and I'm wondering if this maybe a lingering effect from that. Any help would be greatly appreciated

If not placed purely for looks, landmarks are usually placed for their boost to commercial appeal. So many tables, guides and tutorials list Landmarks with their plop prices, monthly maintenance costs, commerce bonus & radius. However, I'm now in a situation with my experimental mandatory-vaccination ordinance where I want to buy myself some mayor rating, and I am thinking that a landmark or two could be just the ticket because... I've seen mentions in a few threads that most landmarks also affect mayor rating over some radius (presumably affecting only tracts within reach, which are then averaged with all residents in a city). From these, I've gathered that the Pyramids are awesome-sauce and Alcatraz is negative. Unfortunately, all my site searches and Google searches for a comprehensive list of landmarks' Mayor effects have come up empty. Does anyone have a linky to a landmark table that includes columns for +/- mayor rating and radius? Thanks!

Issues with Mayor Rating. Has anyone experienced similarly?
nickvon posted a topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
I know this is may construed as an unusual complaint, but I am having an issue with my mayors rating. As one who attempts to strive for some sense of realism, and enjoys challenge, it has become bothersome to the point where I am now posting about it and am curious if anyone else on here as experienced it. No matter what I do, my mayors rating shoots up to 100% within 20 years of starting any city. My most current city is about 20 years old, has a population of around 75k, plenty of I-D and C$ jobs. I have not placed any government services other power and water, mayors house, courthouse, city hall, and some churches. No trash, no police, no fire, no schools, no hospitals, no parks, The commute time is great but everyone is poor, uneducated and sick. Everyone is living in pollution. How the heck is my mayor rating 100%? No matter what I do it stays at this level. I've done some research and found a couple other threads from long ago that didn't really take this similar experience seriously. Most of the comments were about how this is not a problem and enjoy it. But it is a problem for me. I would like as much of a real experience in this game as possible. Has anyone else here recently noticed this problem? -
Hi, I would like to get some advice on how to get my mayor rating up. It's been resting at -60 (+/- 2) since I removed the JS Seawalls linked below, about 5 saves and 20k people ago. These walls makes my mayor rating go up to 137, I've had this happen in at least two cities. And when I remove them it drops almost instantly. My sims call me all sorts of names (stinker, etc), but I really think I'm a decent mayor. I'm never in the red in other cities. Everyone has good health and education coverage. They have jobs, 95 years life expectancy, 0-1 crime, no garbage, moderate pollution, 15 min commute time and only a couple of congested intersections. If there's some building other than the seawalls causing this I don't know how to spot it. I can't use the mayor ratings data since all sims hate me equally. What should I do?

Hello community, In the last few weeks or so I have been building in a new region but for some reason riots break out in all my new cities. In some cases, the town hasn't even run for a month and there are riots (at one point, it hadn't even registered any citizens yet and riots broke out). Then, after a month the Mayor Rating drops to the lowest it can be ... but I haven't done anything different with these cities as any others I have started and I have never experienced these problems before. But, I have been downloading a lot of content lately. Does anyone know why this may be happening or does know if there is a file that may mess with mayor rating? Thanks.

Hello! I've been building my "Montreal" for a while, I have about 350k inhabitants in several suburbs and 80k in this downtown tile. At an uncertain point my Mayor Rating dropped suddenly to -20, while all other indicators like Desirability, Land Value, Education and Health are in perfect order. Traffic had some weak points, so I upgraded to NAM32, increased the capacity and even switched to european mass transit usage. Now most of my french-thinking Canadians travel by bus, so I believe traffic congestion is no longer an issue. Commute time is about 16 minutes in average. So in my opinion it is a bug. I have lots of downloaded buildings, none with cheat-like effects. The few that increase MR a little are Sim Goober's churches. I tried to demolish practically everything in my city to see if the MR goes back to normal, but nothing helped. Nor did help cutting neighbor connection, planting a forest in CBD and creating a huge volcano. Is there anything left I missed before having to obliterate the city, CTD (crush the desktop) or uninstall most of the plugins?

Mayor Rating Bug - Impossible to get Negative Mayor Rating
paulytools posted a topic in SC4 Bugs & Technical Issues
For some odd reason, every city I build, will always have a positive mayor rating. Not necessarily being 100% as well. In fact, I have never gotten 100% mayor rating! Usually it is around 60% at its lowest and 80% at it's highest. Now I did a test to see if it was even possible to get the mayor rating down, as it seemed very rigged after a while.I found it IMPOSSIBLE. No matter what I did in attempt to make my Sims be mad, they always loved me. I TRIED to make Sims unhappy in every single way possible, however it was still positive! Another thing I noticed is that mayor rating will seem to go down, but after a little amount of time, it goes right back up to where it was in the first place! I am not using ANY mods on my version of SimCity and have never installed any. I have SimCity 4 Deluxe so I have the Rush Hour Pack included with it. I've tried looking for mod patches to fix this, but I couldn't find anything, so here I am. Any solutions?
