Hello all together, I was wondering if anyone could tell me if there is a way to make prop families previewable on a lot and query the prop as main building. I know that for normal props there are the following two settings: However when adding these properties to the exemplars of a prop family or the cohort file they seem not to work, or I am doing something wrong. Example of my Cohort file of the prop family: Individual exemplar files of props in prop family: The prop family itself works perfectly fine, but none of the props in it are previewable on the lot before plopping or can be queried as main building. Thanks very much for any advide

Makes sense, in that case there seems to be no way to make them pr-viewable then... not the end of the world

Good question, I have noticed that before as well and having the correct measurements would be handy indeed! -

Description This is the model of a 1 MW onshore wind turbine based on an AN BONUS 54-1000. It has a rotor diameter of 54m and a hub height of 60m (for these specific models I made). With this turbine I wanted to contribute a smaller and older WTG that can more easily be integrated in your wide country sides than some of the other, rather large models I made. The control type of this turbine is active stall, which means the trailing edge of the rotor blades can be rotated into the wind and face forward if the wind is too strong and the turbine needs to be stopped. You are able to see it at the model that is under maintenance and has a locked rotor. Content This File contains two wind power plant lots appearing in your power plant menu, one for the producing turbine with 5 different rotor rotation angles that change automatically when plopped and one lot with a WTG that is undergoing maintenance. The production is set to 1000 and the O&M costs are 40$ per month. One turbine is undergoing maintenance and has no power output. A_1P AN BONUS 54/1000 · 5 different rotor blade positions A_1P AN BONUS 54/1000 under maintenance · at maintenance: Rotor locked in y-position, nacelle hatches open, personnel working on HSS coupling[1] Dependencies · SM2 Mega Prop Pack Vol1 for the truck parked under the turbine at maintenance Instructions Unzip and place in plugin folder, eg.: C:\Users\<USER>\Documents\SimCity 4\Plugins [1] HSS coupling (high speed shaft) between HSS gearbox output shaft with break disc and generator input shaft Pictures provided for this file by @mitsos – many thanks for this! These cable route markers are intended to work as an unobtrusive way to connect power assets or other infrastructure that requires electricity, but you wish to avoid pulling a power line there. The idea was to simulate an underground cable with the visual cable route marker signs in the landscape. The lots have no base-texture and can be fully covered by vegetation or other MMPs. The cable route markers are very small and barely visible as well. They come in 4 different varieties and change with every plop automatically. No dependencies.- 4 Comments

An homage to an old WTG I really like: AN BONUS 54/1000 ... a few details are still missing (and some I might simply leave out since they will not be visible in SC4 anyway) -
Hi @rsc204, apologies if I stressed you out or offended you, that was not my intention I am most grateful for your service to this big community and I can imagine it comes with lots of little tasks and requests! There is probably no larger benefit to having the list available for everyone, you are right. It's just my general interest of things - to see how many are actually issued and which different people are all involved in creating prop families. Thanks very much!

I have requested an ID range on sc4 devotion but I am not sure if anybody is dealing with that over there. I think that having one list that people are able to reference (like on page 1 of this post) would be really helpful. Can anybody help with that? Thanks very much!

WOW, this looks so good! I am currently working on an underground cable route marker, to allow to connect wind turbines to the power grid without having to plop any of the ugly power lines or other lots in between: Basically works like simmers power buoy, the lot has no base texture and can fully be covered by vegetation and other MMPs.- 104 Replies

Can someone tell me why this is not working for me? The prop family is not showing up in LE at all. (I know I am using the same prop family IDs as in the tutorial, but this is just temporary for testing until I have my own range assigned) EDIT: I figured out it was the Rep. value that needed to be set to 1 . It is visible in the tutorial but not really mentioned but visible from the screenshots. I created the Building/ prop family property myself and did not copy it, so it was defaulted to 0.
