Propulsion Pack The Age of the Dreadnought and the two decades before it, encompassed a period of scientific and industrial growth unrivalled by anything that came before it – quite possibly including the original Industrial Revolution of the mid-19th Century. The political/military rivalries of the era drove scientific advances every bit as much, if not more, than the needs of commerce and civilization. For warships it meant they had to be bigger, faster, tougher, and more offensively oriented. The need for tactical supremacy at sea naturally led to steel hulls, greater speed, heavy armour protection (advanced metallurgy), modern long-range naval artillery, rudimentary ship-to-ship communication (wireless), advanced optical instruments – and especially high-speed steam turbines. In an effort to take in-game realism to a new level, “AP” has provided us with all the basic components of a warship’s drive-train – boilers for steam – steam turbines – a reduction gearing system – propeller shafts – and propellers. This will allow you to assemble shipyards with factories and machine shops to build and produce these components – transport the components – and stockpile them alongside the builder’s slipway and dry docks. For those of you looking for a new industry for your cities – why not maritime machine shops or naval armaments? How to use This pack contains .SC4model-files and props as .SC4desc-files. So, by installing this pack nothing will directly appear in your game. You can use the props on your own lots or convert the SC4models into buildings, as you please. Since most props are to be used on water lots and props naturally align with the surface level, they will sink to the sea floor, if you do not stick to the guidelines on how to use props on water lots. Finally you will need to follow the instructions on how to make a lot transparent. You will find the props in any Lot-Editor under the prefix A_1P_h_ As per request from the community, I have also included a version of the ship without historic flags and crew. Please visit @Dreadnought's CJ to get detailed descriptions and the historical backgrounds to these prop packs. You will see a wonderful display of the results of our long collaboration there and can get a preview of what might be hidden in the coming prop packs or simply get some inspiration for your own harbour!- 3 Reviews

Description This is the model of a 1 MW onshore wind turbine based on an AN BONUS 54-1000. It has a rotor diameter of 54m and a hub height of 60m (for these specific models I made). With this turbine I wanted to contribute a smaller and older WTG that can more easily be integrated in your wide country sides than some of the other, rather large models I made. The control type of this turbine is active stall, which means the trailing edge of the rotor blades can be rotated into the wind and face forward if the wind is too strong and the turbine needs to be stopped. You are able to see it at the model that is under maintenance and has a locked rotor. Content This File contains two wind power plant lots appearing in your power plant menu, one for the producing turbine with 5 different rotor rotation angles that change automatically when plopped and one lot with a WTG that is undergoing maintenance. The production is set to 1000 and the O&M costs are 40$ per month. One turbine is undergoing maintenance and has no power output. This is the model of a 3.45 MW onshore wind turbine based on a Vestas V126©. It has a rotor diameter of 126m and at a hub height of 117m (for these specific models I made). It comes in tower heights up to 149m. Vestas is one of the biggest manufacturers of wind turbines worldwide and has been in the wind industry for over 30 years. This specific turbine is designed for IEC wind class II with high turbulence intensity and makes a typical onshore turbine. It is very reliable and efficient – one of my favourite turbines. More info can be found here. Content This File contains four wind power plant lots with the same turbine type at different rotor positions. The production is set to 3450 and the O&M costs are 140$ per month. One turbine is undergoing a rotor blade inspection and has no power output and zero budget impact. This is an offshore wind turbine generator (WTG) as it is widely distributed in European offshore windfarms. It is inspired by the SIEMENS wind turbine 3.6MW with a rotor diameter of 120m known as SWT-3.6-120. source: windfair.net (14.01.2021) https://w3.windfair.net/wind-energy/pr/31349-deutsche-windtechnik-siemens-riffgat-offshore-wind-farm-turbine-ewe-maintenance-service-provider This File contains one wind power plant on a 1x1 lot (located in the power plant menu) with a production of 3600 and O&M costs of 125$. Below is some inspiration how to use it. Thanks to the simtropolis and sc4devotion community especially Simmer2 for lots of support, patience and advice during the creation of this lot.- 3 Reviews

A look from Briarwood's Wood Industrial area (while investigating a Freestride fall) over Timboh's Turbine Interchange to Foggy Heights and in the distance Barlow.

We are getting better! Our citizens enjoyed one of our most efficient and time saving changes to our highway. While Timboh’s 3 tier Roundabout interchange was good with normal traffic the surges from the daily rush were causing impossible traffic jams. Our interchange of choice — Timboh’s Turbine — opened at the peak of morning rush hour and handled traffic with ease. Please listen to these words of advise from our Highway Patrol Chief: Junior Brown, “I got a star on my car and one on my chest, A gun on my hip and the right to arrest I'm the guy who's the boss on this highway So watch out what you're doin' when you're drivin' my way If you break the law, you'll hear from me, I know I'm a-workin' for the state I'm The Highway Patrol. Well, you'll know me when you see me, 'cause my door's painted white My siren a-screamin' and my flashin' red lights I work all day and I work all night Yes a-keepin' law and order, tryin' to do what's right If I write you out a ticket, then you'd better drive slow I'm just a-doin' my job, I'm The Highway Patrol. I'm the Highway Patrol, the Highway Patrol, my hours are long, and my pay is low. But I'll do my best to keep you driving slow, I'm just a-doin' my job, I'm The Highway Patrol. If your driving to fast, like you shouldn't do, you can bet your boots, I'm coming after you. If you wanna race, then get on a race track, cause if you try and run away, I'm gonna bring ya back, I'm here to keep all the speeders driving slow, I'm just a-doin' my job, I'm The Highway Patrol” Thank you Chief Brown. During the transition to our new Timboh’s Turbine Interchange we suffered losses to our bus maintenance department that maintains our older GM buses. Our condolences are with those families. This brings the future of maintaining the older GM fleet into question since the modern technical schools are focused on the latest marvels of scientific enhancements and not legacy equipment. Sadly our older fleet of GM buses will be slowly diminished and replaced. Transitional training will be provided for those individuals who are displaced by the demise of the older fleet and this training is also extended to those who desire a career in the maintenance field. We are aware that some very highly educated people find “tinkering” so rewarding they have switched career paths into overalls, mechanics tools and a Sunex Creeper. Mayor (Acting) Haylo Stachoo
