Hey all. I am looking for a rural landing strip (the smaller the better!) for unincorporated, isolated, or rural communities. I've scoured the forum a bit but all of the results I turned up were too "AIRPORT" for my taste. Literally just looking for a functional dirt runway. Here's the inspiration:

Thanks Ty! I didn't realize Wolf had fully deleted his account, what a shame. I like it enough to download but not enough to export 4 times. Haha

Does anyone know if it's possible to place the protestors as a prop? You know, the ones that picket outside when teachers go on strike/ schools are underfunded? I checked through all of the effects and props in Pimx and didn't see them. I'd like to place them as a prop on a lot I'm thinking about making, or at least as an effect on that lot.

Presenting: Cape Cod homes, in the postwar style that is pervasive in the Northeast United States. These houses were built quickly by many developers, and in their heyday of the '40s and '50s, were favorites of returning war veterans looking to start a family in the new towns of the suburbs. This download includes 3 components. Ortho (straight) models, diagonal models, and fractionally angled models. If you do not wish to use the angled props, simply do not copy the undesired folder into your plugins, and vice versa. Each folder is self-sufficient. Additionally, all props have been grouped into families to avoid repetition. DOWNLOAD INCLUDES: 14x unique ortho models, on 8x R$ lots, 1x1, 1x2, and 1x3. Grows under NY tileset 8x unique FA models on 2x1 landmark lots 6x unique diagonal models on 1x1 landmark lots Enjoy! no dependencies Footnote: I'd like to extend sincere gratitude to each of the members who have passed along a best practice or a helping hand during my time here. The Simtropolis community as a whole has enabled me to create this pack; without the continuum of knowledge, there would be no pack. Barton, AP, and Davide, thanks especially on this one!, and to everyone who contributed ideas on the SUWYWO thread. -

Yes. I made models for the R$$ set without garages, so the 1x3 and 2x2 lots can have detached garages. Thanks for your interest!

Hi all. Noob question regarding lighting I'm trying to set up a spotlight on the front of this model but... but when I render, the light only shows during the day and not at night. I would like the opposite to be true; the intended effect would be, no additional lighting during day and bright lights that appear at night. How can I fix this? This is a persistent problem for me, btw. Thanks in advance, all. -
Yeah, they'll appear randomly as a part of the building families Squatter vibes

I love the anticipation haha. just waiting for my prop ID range to be assigned. Then full steam ahead, the models are done, and lotting the families will not take very long. (THX BARTON!) Perhaps you could run quality assurance before I release

Ah awesome, sounds just like the I follow to make my overhanging models work I'll talk to rsc204 when I decide how to lot them. Just have to run IRL errands// then check up on the maxis lots (if the prop lines up nicely) I need some really, really basic pointers about the Lot Editor portion of PIMX though. I don't know how to manipulate anything and I feel like I'm missing something very basic. I've read over the manual several times... I think I just need hands on instruction. But I'm grinning looking at all these lil guys lined up.

Uhh... so I'm now realizing the magnitude of this project. Any best practices from people who have made this kind of pack before? i.e. how many props should I ideally include in the family so as to not be repetitious (are these enough?)? Here are all the model styles I made+recolors. Just have to figure out how I would lot them, given the sides of the garages etc, that would affect the number of lots as well. But I want this to offer some variety. Also: can I just swap out the maxis houses for my prop families, and then they're on the correctly statted lots? Or should I do something more complex? I have never lotted residential growables before. I'm gonna love having these in game tough. CANCEL SHEEZA BRICK HOUSE
