  1. Got a quick SC4 question?... Ask here!

I'll give it a try! Thanks.
  2. Got a quick SC4 question?... Ask here!

Unfortunately I'm experiencing this every time I zone agricultural - even in a new city tile in a fresh new region it's helpful to know that agricultural lots being built without fields is likely a growth cap issue. Could removing SPAM (but having CAM) be messing with the growth cap?
  3. Got a quick SC4 question?... Ask here!

Hi All, After 12 years () I recently removed PEG's SPAM mod from my plugins folder. A great mod, but I was missing the IMO wonderful Maxis vanilla farm fields. Since then, farm fields only grow very rarely when zoning. Several farm lots will grow without the field (see picture below), eating up all the agricultural demand. I've created some custom agricultural lots, but they worked with SPAM. Has anyone encountered this before? I'm deleting so many of these lots waiting for a field to grow!
  4. Got a quick SC4 question?... Ask here!

Hi all, Does anyone know if there is a way (/trick) to save a city to change the way it looks in the region view? In the picture of my test region some city tiles look softer and others look sharper. I prefer the cities looking "softer" (ex. the main city). This has been driving me crazy for years.

  6. Show us What you're Working On

Hi all I'm working on filling out a new neighbourhood for a WIP Detroit/Milwaukee/Minneapolis-like region trying to capture that post-war suburb feel
  7. Can't find it?... Ask here!

Hi everyone, I'm hoping someone can identify these buildings for me. Once upon a time I do remember downloading these buildings and having them in my game, I think the brick building is SimGoober and the bigger building is by a Parisian BATer? Thanks!
  8. Can't find it?... Ask here!

  9. Can't find it?... Ask here!

  10. Hi everyone, Long time player of SC4 (since launch!) and Simtropolis member. I've never had much trouble with installing custom content before, until recently I realized that Catalysts T21 Guardrails for NAM are unzipped and in my plugins folder but don't show up in any menus (or in the plop cheat dropdown menu) while I'm playing. I had the files in their own folder and then tried them in folders such as the ZZ NAM folder but no luck. No idea where to put it or what the files are doing when I boot Sim City. I'm running the most recent NAM and Windows 10. This problem is also happening with the NY Teams AABT Hells Kitchen Packs 1 & 2. The third pack works fine but the other two don't which I don't understand. Tried putting the files all together in the same folder but still the buildings in packs 1 & 2 won't show up in any menus, including the cheat menu. ALSO! Does anyone know of a mod to make NAM highway pieces have grass/texture below them on sweeping curves and highway entrances and exits? I've seen it around in some CJ pictures throughout the years but I don't know where to look. I can find some pics if this write up was a little too confusing. Thanks!
  11. Issue with Catalysts T21 for RHW Guardrails

Thanks CorinaMarie, this looks like it may help.
  12. Hello Simtropolis! It has been awhile since I posted anything to this site. I have been busy with real life and attempting countless times to perfect my region. But here it is! Finally. With this City Journal I am interested in updates from the role of a planner who works for the city, but that will come later after a few introductory updates. Welcome to Algonquin City! - thanks, canadiansim -

  18. SLB 12 Update

REPLIES Simul8ter8, terring, NMUSpidey, 111222333444, PatoKiller96, escilnavia - Thank you all for commenting! I really appreciate it. I agree with you all, the Eternal Commuter Loop Bug is a huge bummer in an otherwise great game. The Carter City Bearcats Baseball Club is off to an amazing start in the SLB 12 season! The team was victorious against the Stalina Pirates on the road last weekend, the clubs first professional league win. Their next game will be the Bearcats home opener at the brand new Montano Park Baseball Stadium, on the outskirts of the city. Recently constructed, the city had to spend almost $200 million dollars to build this new, state-of-the-art facility. During the offseason, the Bearcats fans were ecstatic when superstar pitcher Johnny Russell was signed for 3 years for a huge sum of $33,180,000 USD. He was quoted as saying that he, "enjoys the city and the fans in Carter City," and that he will, "enjoy playing for the Bearcats Organization." - thanks, canadiansim -

  20. A New Carter City

Hey everyone! Welcome to the new and improved Carter City. Unfortunately, the old city fell to the "Eternal Commuter Loop" and had to be deleted. It's a shame, but do not fret! I am back once again with pictures of the brand new Carter City. I hope you all enjoy. - thanks, canadiansim -
  21. The Fremont District

This CJ is my inspiration to keep playing Sim City and create cities. Thank you and keep up the amazing work
  22. Actual Introduction

Welcome to Carter City! REPLIES TowerDude - Thank you! SpaceRaoul - Thanks! 111222333444 - Thank you. MamaLuigi - That's quite alright! Thank you very much. Carter City is the transport, commercial and industrial hub for the region. Corporations from across the world have headquarters in the downtown area. Unfortunately, as with every big city, there are still areas of town where not-so-legal business deals occur as well. The smog coming from these factories is a huge problem for the city. - thanks, canadiansim -
  23. Not an Introduction

Hey everyone, This entry is not an introduction to Carter City, I am currently not finished but ill have new updates soon! The reason I started this city journal now is because I am trying to enter into the SLB 12. Hopefully I get in! Until next time. - thanks, canadiansim -
  24. Woodbury Township

REPLIES Zulu2065 - Thanks! I'll try to update as often as I can. NMUSpidey - Thank you! There is a small university one town over. Next update perhaps? JGellock - Thank you. Fox - Thank you very much! Founded in the year 1788 by the explorer Sir Thomas Woodbury, the Town of Woodbury has been a place known for its unmatched beauty and friendly locals. Located in the picturesque Nickel Valley, Woodbury has become a hot-spot for tourists looking for a change of pace. The main industry in the Nickel Valley is agriculture, and farms surround the town completely. The current population of Woodbury is a huge total of 4 721. Including the surrounding population, the number grows to around 8 550 sims. In the year 1896, a fire broke out and destroyed more than half the town. The downtown and the surrounding houses were completely leveled. One of the only remaining structures was the Woodbury Town Hall, which still stands today on Prince Street.
