Maxis Seasonal - Residential & Commercial Lots
IljaS commented on PaulSawyer's file in Gameplay Mods
All my regions are seasonal, so I haven't used any Maxis RCI lots for years. You just gave me a reason to remove some blockers from the game. The job you undertook must have been enormous. I salute you for getting it done. You might wish to display the names of required dependency downloads in this page, so downloaders can see if they allready have them.- 50 Comments

Your trees are there. You placed them as "flora" so they will have a growth cycle. What is going on with your parking lots is another matter. They are just standard overlays. I couldn't repeat your propblem, when plopping your lot all around my testing region. Are you sure that you are using correct settings for your game?

The flat roof actually works well here. The main BAT itself fits visually well where intended. Still, there are few changes that you could make. You should add some roofjunk to it and cover that black hole with something. Flat brown area needs some more work, like entirely other texture (does it even have texture?) and few props. The biggest problem, however, is that freight stations should be designed as "easy to by pass" stations, because they block passenger trains entirely. Multiplatform lots like these require extended lengths of extra rail, if freight shares the network in question with passenger trains. Let us worry about amount of rails and platforms near these stations and concentrate the BAT itself. Good luck to you. I look forward your next work.
to much dependencies not worth it. 2/5
When 4/5 of packs I used are solid parts of many popular park and plaza sets in STEX, we only need you to open your LE and search out all useless dependency files. You are free to fix my lots for your own personal use. Perhaps you may even create your own public lots for rest of us to use. I am happy to see what you come up with, and dependencies you chose to use. You can also visit my development page and give your opinion about my lots and dependencies, before they are released to public. There is no point to take these kind of comments seriously, if they do not point out what I should be doing differently. That is why I will disregard all complaints about the mere amount of dependencies. Case closed.

I got some feedback about my previous comment, so let me clarify. My review was done without the median tree. My point is, that sidewalks are too narrow for all that stuff that was placed on them and sidewalk trees, benches and trashcans are blocking entrances to buildings. Take a look of screenshots that creator has provided, then you know what I meant. And, I am still using this otherwise nice mod, because it suits well for other purposes.

I am sorry to say, but this mod is pretty silly, if NMAVE-4 is used in front or behind of any zoned areas. It does not widen the actuall sidewalk, so props are blocking the entrances to buildings and benches will fill the whole sidewalk. No cars or pedestarians could possibly get trough. There ar still good uses for this mod. It works well, if NMAVE-4 is used to build parkways trough the city. And for Jackxu, you could try to remake this mod and consider the possibility of "less" being "more." Keep it up. We await what you come up with.
