Should I make a region journal with this?
De Ja Vu replied to D.B. Cooper's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
Definitely! May I suggest you download Region census? It's a program designed to make a single picture out of your entire region, no matter the size. https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=913 You must first register on the site to be able to download it. -
It might break the game beause soon after you plop those residential buildings they get the No-job zot and start to abandon. If you get carried away and plop your whole city then you are going to need a lot of cleaning up to do. The best way to make use of plopping residential buildings are these two steps: 1. Make sure you plop a residential building on top of an existing residential building (wealth and building stages do not matter) 2. Make sure you have a very good developed mass transit network near-by, or at least good road connections. Otherwise you will see black abandoned buildings everywhere The only drawback to this method is that you cannot see where the sims from that plopped building are commuting to.

@SimCoug: look closer. The part where the FAR/Diagonal runs through is built on land. Here is my newest region: I'm planing to make a CJ out of this. Been busy with some other stuff, but as soon as that clears up I'm gona start that CJ

Monthly Challenge January 2015 - Re-Establish The Region
De Ja Vu replied to Hamish's topic in Simtropolis Related
As I understand, yes you can, but that's not what the challenge is about, so it doesn't even matter probably. What I want to know is, can we change the layout of the south rail, since it doesn't follow the lines of the river quite exactly. The entry point to the main tile would be the same, I would just add a bitt of curviture to it. Can I do that? -
Just the right tutorial I was looking for! Thanks!

Hello! I've been considering returning to BATing SC4, since I've improved quite a lot in 3ds max and I have some spare time in the future. My main interest is making mayor mode ploppables (since you really can't get enough of those ), but first I would like to know what's the procedure after the model is complete. Do you have to play around in the LE or something else? Thanks!

Flattening an entire city tile, is this possible? Needed for a custom region mod.
De Ja Vu replied to BOOST15673's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
You could still try to open every tile and in God mode use the "smoothen" brush, so you don't get those jagged mountains along the river. Sorry if I couldn't be more helpful, since I don't use SC4 Mapper. Maybe someone else has a better idea. -

Do I see a cheat with avenue curves? Back then it was considered a workaround Does NAM 32 have those wide 90° RHW4 curves?
