I would appreciate if someone help me with this, I have a often problem trying to create a realistic region and is that I can't provide enough jobs for great residential areas because I try to recreate realistic commercial and industrials areas and those are usually small or medium, so 90% of all city buildings are just residential, this mainly because I don't like to use skyscrapers that gives ton a jobs and are enough to satisfy a city demand. So I have to create entire industrial cities in four directions for just one city and obviously that ruins my wish to recreate a entire region as I can only use one city. Which i'm looking for is some small landmark that provides a lot of commercial or industrial jobs to satisfy such demand for residential areas, for example this building provides like 7000 commercial jobs but is too big to use more than one per city, so i'm  looking for a small one to use it several times, or how can I edit a random small landmark and provide it with thousands of jobs? it's viable?

I don't know about the road textures, but the building circle in red is Oneil's Golden Bank. Back when BATs were just beginning to come forth, this was one of the early hits, and Oneil_1 was a beloved STEX rockstar. I wonder where he is these days?

A very similar building was done in 2012 by Sgt Pepper, the NYBT Bankers Trust tower:

Those road intersections are included in NAM. I'm not so sure, but I think they are from the US style roads when you're making a custom installation.

I will note, however, that they haven't received any updates since NAM 33 (nor plans to have any--unless someone else wishes to update them), and as part of the winnowing down of cosmetic mods (and resultant crosslink complexity), they are not part of NAM 37.  They're effectively a legacy item at this point.

You can take the original lot -- open it in READER -- and delete some of the lot properties -- thereby making the ground portion of the lot invisible so it will take on the terrain appearance of the beach.  Very simple process -- BUT......

I can't remember which properties you need to delete to make an "invisible" lot.  (I know -- I'm gettin' too old for this stuff !  *:party:)

YO, guys --

I'm putting this here -- because I not only can't FIND it -- I'm not sure it even exists !! *:D

I'm getting ready to start an overhaul of my naval dockyard map tile. 

One of the problems that "baked my biscuits" in the original dockyard was that most of the buildings and lots used to create a naval base were "eye-candy" -- they had no jobs.  Hence, they generated no traffic of any sort;  pedestrian -- vehicle -- freight trucks -- trains -- freight trains -- NOTHING -- NADA !! 

So, when you look at it -- it's all there -- but nothing is moving.  It's a ghost town !  You can put a "gun foundry" way down at the end of a military mole and run roads and rails to it but nobody is going down there since there are no jobs.  And no jobs means no freight !

If you have a beautiful Landmark building that you simply HAVE to use, but it has no jobs -- you can create a 1x1 with a park bench, give it 300 jobs, and plop it right next to the building.  It gives you jobs and produces traffic.  A factory can be handled the same way, but I'm trying to avoid re-lotting 50 buildings.  (My plugins folder is already a monster!!)  *:party:

IS THERE SUCH A THING AS A "TRAFFIC GENERATOR" ?  Has somone already created such a thing -- I hope?

@Dreadnought Interesting. That's certainly an option although I do like the stage in that image if anyone knows where I can find it

@tails2489 I don't know about those specifically, but it looks like you pulled those images from @Haljackey. He still pops in and posts on Simtropolis from time to time so tagged him just in case

@Dreadnought I downloaded the Korean Rock Stadium, opened up some of the files, and had no idea what I was looking at. Does anyone know where I can find a how-to guide on adding transparencies to lots?

Also, It turns out I'm already using this in another BAT in another city. is it as simple as "save as new" to create a new version of this with a transparent lot?

Someone please correct me if im wrong but i believe the intersection textures is part of NAM. With a combination of the NAM North American retexture and cosmetic mod.

Look at this topic, it seems to be part of NAM and is called "New York style crosswalk", I have no idea if it's currently in the custom NAM 36 installation

The time, when it was uploaded still the SM2 Barrow Heliport models/props was the necessary dependency, but since then, Simmer2 merged those into his latest SM2 Mega Prop Pack.
