Thanks, @BartonThinks... I was thinking it looked a lot like CP's work! I didn't know he shared out models to other BATers prior to their public release, so that's probably the case in this instance. I would LOVE for that back catalog to be made available sometime. Basically, everything in this thread that hasn't already been released (it's all amazing!):

https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=15318.0

You and me both. I've got a thing for late 19th century and early 20th century American architecture, and nobody does it better than CP, so I'll be over the moon when those models get released.

the second picture I looked up the hotel that's in the foreground and its website says "Located in Český Krumlov and with Castle Český Krumlov reachable within a 4-minute walk, Hotel Peregrin...."

And if you do a search for the castle

Thanks a million Catty-cb, *:thumb: I do appreciate these reference links, I just see it's a castle but I thought it's a tower before, *:D It seems like I'd better focus on the windmill first, Anyway, Thanks again catty-cb, I will send you after I finish it.

I'm looking for something kinda different. A Little Asia has sprung up in one of my cities and I'm trying to coax more themed growth out of it. I need a building (or a couple of buildings) from Asia that'll grow in place of SimFox's TRB Towers on the 3x3 lots, because those are springing up a lot right now. Quite possibly something by the HKABT team, but if it's not, as long as it's from Asia, that's fine. It just needs to be 3x3, R$$, and the same growth stage. (And not CAM, because I don't have it.)

Any thoughts or ideas?

Does anyone know where I can find some muddy ploppable water (MMP or of other kinds)? I have a special idea which depends on those.

Does anyone know where I can find a building suitable for use as a small site office? What I'm looking for is a little 1x1 lot with a small single-storey modern building to use as the office building at a small petroleum terminal, so it's just somewhere for the drivers to go and get their paperwork done, and maybe have a staff break-room in it as well. So it's really something about the size of a portacabin or a little larger, but more permanent.

Thanks for the suggestions. I've looked at both, but neither seem to have what I'm looking for. They have given me a couple of ideas for other lots, though...

Does anyone have a link for the 'BEX MSS Essentials' files referenced here?;

Tried searching STEX but no results, also tried Google. Thought maybe it had been superseded but I've got the brown boxes.

Does anyone know where I could find a good prop for a small, wooden outhouse? I've been trying to find a good model to include with some 19th century residential lots, but I'm having trouble finding a prop that has the right size and appearance.

Some of the props I've looked at so far...

Outhouses.png.82c292aa195c45acb1cee9d6bbba791d.png

  • 0 CSX home included for scale.
  • 1 From D66 Mega Props Vol1. I like the overall look of this one a lot, but its dimensions are pretty badly out of scale with other props. It's what I've been using so far.
  • From Maxis props. The outhouse itself is pretty much perfect, but it's attached to the bathtub prop.
  • From the Historic Harbor set. Same basic problem as the Maxis one. The prop itself looks good, but it's attached to a wooden pier (which also makes it slope intolerant).
  • From WMP garden props. WMP has a number of props labeled "outhouse," but they all tend to be 20th century public restrooms.
  • From PEG MTP Potty Pack. PEG's rest stops have the same issue as the WMP ones, except they're also the size of a small home.

Any tips?

Thank you! Wish the roof had a different texture instead of the red tiles, but it's a perfect match in every other way.

I also made a number of them in this prop pack (different coloured roofs) together with a number of 19th Century houses: PropPackVol04_lg.jpg

so this might be a model that was shared privately with Mattb325. In that case, it wouldn't be publicly available--at least not at the moment.

You are spot-on.

CP did share that model privately with me a long time ago (it's about 10 years old I think) as a pre-cursor to the sets he publicly released. That model, for whatever reason, didn't appear in the public release. He hasn't been active for some time. If he doesn't log in within the next few months, I may whip up something in a similar vein.

Ah! I've got that pack queued up to use the Reussdale and American Stick props. I actually thought the outhouse props were guardhouses/gatehouses on first glance -- maybe because I was looking for something a little more rustic and ramshackle? I'll have to give them a look next to the CSX homes and some of CP's early 19th century R$ homes. Either way, they'll look great when I start lotting some R$$ and R$$$ buildings.

Lately, some japanese commercial lots have been appearing on my cities, but always with missed dependencies. Do you have any idea where I can find the missing buildings, or at least, what those lots are named (they don't have any in-game name), as to remove them?

So, "dunny" is a fun new word I learned today. In other news, looks like I'll go with Mattb325's props. The Krasner props have a side with a greenish tint that tends to blend in with grassy base textures.
