@canadiansim Beautiful! Would you consider opening a CJ to show us more of your work?

Quick question to everyone since I will be posting some stuff here in the future:

What would you say is too big a size for a props pack? I currently have a prop pack almost ready to be uploaded, but it's already 70Mb big, is it too much? Should I split it? It isn't datpacked so that people can chose what to keep or not.

I think currently the largest prop packs are around up to 60-70 MB, not counting Angry Mozart's freight rail car prop pack.

It depends on what you are putting into the pack. If they were larger building models, like the CAM supporting model packs on LEX, I would split it into comfortable 3-4 building per pack. If they were small props then I would keep them together. But again if it was containing thematically matching prop groups then it could be split up by themes.

If you were about to DatPack it, please use the J-Datpacker (Java based) instead of the Datpacker 2008.

Otherwise I am eager to see what goodies you will come up with. *:thumb:

I am personally inclined to smaller MB downloads --

And I do NOT favor datpacks --

But that's just me...*

In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed.  But they produced Michael Angelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, and The Renaissance.

In Switzerland, they had brotherly love and five hundred years of peace.  And what did that produce?

The cuckoo clock !

(Harry Lime to Holly Martins...Graham Greene's THE THIRD MAN...1949)

The "SimCity 4" vanilla Opera House is the most evil thing in existence. Avoid.

Unfortunately, we have no military leaders with morals. If they had any, they'd be aiming the guns the other way.

I just wish the US would quite pussy-footing around and get some main battle tanks to Ukraine.  The only way to solve that problem is a mobile envelopment -- then see how long it takes for them to surrender !!  *

I wish people got factual info before calling for more carnage. Just sayin', my friend. And Simtropolis isn't the place for politics, in any case.
