I'm going to publish it tomorrow, Llanddwyn Island Lighthouse, Actually, it's not a functional Lighthouse since it was preserved as historical status. Thank you CoriBoom @CorinaMarie @Cyclone Boom, without your kind explanation, I still worried about where dose the light comes from., This was my first 3dsmax model, Many thanks to matt @mattb325 who taught me the light's tips.

Zűrich Ober Trasse Update 11 !

Lower zűrich area filling in rapidly I now turn to the hilly area of the ober trasse a plateau conscisting the University of zűrich and adjacent working and living quarters !

Below the hill I created a little manhattan with the only high-rise scrapers in the area. Zűrich has little high rise so to keep this image I opted for this location as it´s close  enough to the mayor railway connection to adjacent Műnchen tile !

For a short commute I created this mountain residential area with excelent tram and bus network connection to the university and offices !

First part of the Unter Trasse and the adjacent old city area some development here !

Conclude with some detail shots of the still to be finished Ober Trasse and University area !

Remember to turn Ambient Occlusion on, for all materials (except glass and water). 

I also think that your terra cotta is too reflective. Terra cotta in real life is shiny, but yours is so shiny that it's making perfect mirror reflections, which I think is too much. I would maybe use a reflectivity of 0.3 and glossiness of 0.3. Or maybe the glossiness could be a little higher. But I think right now it is too high.

Despite the extensive railway network of Rota, at present there are no railway connections between the Johto Region (right side of view) and the Kingdom of Rota (left side of view). As such, truck traffic is by far the main way for merchandise to move between both jurisdictions.

 

 

For the sake of efficiency, separate scales are provided for single unit trucks and semitrailer trucks, on each direction. The enacted weight limits are as follows:

• Single axles: up to 10 metric tons (11 short tons, 22,000 pounds)
• Tandem or double axles: up to 19 metric tons (21 short tons, 42,000 pounds)
• Tridem or triple axles: up to 27 metric tons (30 short tons, 60,000 pounds)
• Gross vehicle weight limit: up to 50 metric tons (55 short tons, 110,000 pounds)

 

 

Enforcement is provided 24 hours, 7 days per week, 365 days per year!

 

 

Not only are the truck weight limits inspected for every entering and exiting vehicle, but also customs compliance on random and suspect vehicles. Make sure to send through authorized merchandise that matches the customs report!

I'm in the process of creating a few junkyards/ car hoarder properties in the rougher parts of my city.  My only issue is that the euro MMP cars don't quite cut the mustard for the look.  If anyone made an MMP for some of the junkier looking low wealth maxis cars, you'd be doing Gods work!

Project Utopia
I came up with an idea of building the first green city ever build in SimCity 4. A city without cars,with zero emissions, based exclusively on public transportation and renewable energy sources,  fully functional,  with high tech jobs, innovative,  literally green. Of course it must be sustainable and competitive, with green public spaces.  If the project succeeds, i will apply the general principles of it to several  areas in my existing cities.

I know that the odds are against me, but i'll give it a try. I wanna make this work. No matter what, i'll share the progress and the results with you guys.

I hope to see your progress with this interesting attempt. Due to the game's dynamics, I'd highly suggest you to use the home jobs mod (10 or 25%), otherwise a lot of your sims may work far from home and some of them just don't like public transportation, making a way harder task.

Hmm interesting  i didn't know that job mod exists. Sure they don't like public transportation. In many cases i forced them to far commuting in order to achieve traffic. Thank you

I have had a lot of success building cities without roads. It just takes time and some trade-offs. The home jobs mod and the no fire mod in the RCI-Multi Pac are both important.

Some urban revitalization occuring in my city.  Just like in many cities across America, the local NFL Stadium buys up a ton of neighboring land, and bulldozes whatever's on top of it to create more parking.  Across the freeway, some slummy row houses are slowly being bought out and demolished in favour of more overflow parking lots for the nearby stadium
