I still don't experience any of the stated bugs above using Opera. :P

Sidenote: Opera, FTW.

Since the latest Firefox update a couple of days ago, I've had no luck at all loading chat. I've reinstalled Flash, cleared out the cache, and tried pretty much everything I could think of. It seems like it's a Firefox issue, and so I've been using Chrome for the last couple of days (IE seemed to have too many issues, such as private messaging not working).

I tried using Chrome in one of my virtual machines with no luck, so there's that. I'd never install it on my real computer for various reasons though, so I guess I'm out of chat until whatever problem with Firefox is causing it is resolved.

Nor mine.  No changes made except for some O/S fixes that are irrelevant.

I just uninstalled Chrome but now the chat won't work on my computer when using Firefox.

--Ocram

Ocram's Razor: Though "more things shouldn't be used than are necessary," they're just too fun to pass up! Expect many verbose arguments from me. I will try to write abstracts before or short summaries after from now on.

Words to live by:
"Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit... But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually..." 1 Corinthians 4-11

"Do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:34
"Do not judge so that you will not be judged. For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you." Matthew 7:1-3

Same boat here, with both Firefox 31,0 and Pale Moon 24.7 (x64). Clicking on "View Page Source" in either browser shows that it's actually giving me an error message:

<body><noscript><b>This application requires JavaScript.</b><br/>Your browser either does not support JavaScript or scripts are being blocked.</noscript>

I do have JavaScript enabled, and while I am using NoScript in Firefox, I have allowed scripts from the chat server.  My Pale Moon installation lacks NoScript altogether.

On examination of the page information the only thing I get that might be a problem is that the chat site does not supply ownership information.  Still no go.  Firefox 31.0

Same for me. Both Chrome and Firefox on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS give this code when I open the page source:

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html><head><title></title><meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"/></head>
<body><noscript><b>This application requires JavaScript.</b><br/>Your browser either does not support JavaScript or scripts are being blocked.</noscript>
<script type="text/javascript">document.write('<script type="text/javascript" src="realchat.js$0,0,5,0,0!20130309040838"><\/script>');</script></body></html>

Furthermore, the error log on Firefox gives the following error:

TypeError: controller is null textbox.xml:479

Chrome asks me to install Flash, which I did a number of times. Alas, no results...

Funny enough, Windows doesn't give any problems yet...

Best,
Maarten

This is a message I receive when attempting to access Simtropolis's home page:

Fatal error: Class 'classRss' not found in /home/admin/public_html/forum/admin/applications_addon/ips/ccs/sources/blocks/feed/data_sources/rss.php on line 300

Any idea on what the problem could be?

Same here.

I've also noticed this error is shown at the top when browsing a thread or viewing user profiles:

Yes, seems like this issue has now spread to the forum index. This wasn't the case as of my previous posting.

I got that, too.  I just updated to the latest version of Firefox and I still see that.  Now I'm getting this message whenever I go to a forum thread:

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/admin/public_html/forum/ips_kernel/classCustomFields.php:911) in /home/admin/public_html/forum/admin/sources/classes/output/formats/html/htmlOutput.php on line 110

At least I know it's not my browser.

It isn't a browser issue, it is a site wide issue.

It seems from the looks of it, some of the classes are missing, such as the get RSS feeds.

EDIT:This one...

We seem to be back.  Wonder if it has anything to do with the shellshock problem.

This is exacly what I saw too,   also ”server-down" sites  reported simtrop 100% up and running,  all but one site  that showed it to be inaccessible and how long it was in that status.

Also the searching bar is actually K.O. It shows the number of results but not the results themselves (I'm using google chrome).

Same here on Safari and Firefox. Please look into this.
