Not sure if this has been mentioned before, & I've looked in profile/settings..........

 

Thread Links & page they take you to, for the full site & mobile version: May I suggest that any thread links take user to the last page in first instance? Particularly for mobile version. It saves having to navigate through 101 pages just to view the last stuff & I would imagine most users would want to view more recent posts pertaining to a thread. Currently using F/F 28 on PC (Win7 64bit). Also often browse the site using iPhone4/Safari iOS 5 (I think ).

I have been having the same problem. Normally I have had no issue adding a feature.

If you mean you want to add to the scrolling images, any member can use the Add Feature button on the home page. Have you tried that?

I know how to submit feature. The problem is that I can't even submit one for consideration. When I click on Home>Add Feature all I get is an error message saying that I do not have permission.

Personally I can access the "Add Feature" page without trouble. So maybe something with the member permissions has gone array, so it's not affecting the site staff.

An alternative way to submit a feature is by visiting: simtropolis.com/features/

It's unlikely to make a difference, but can the form be reached this way?

I thought of trying that also, unfortunately the same issue error message appears. Oddly enough the submit a news feature still works.

For now, I guess you could PM one of us staff, or another member not part of the Batting School. The feature could then be submitted on your behalf.

This would work by providing the same details as on the submission form:

 

Feature Title *

The title of the feature

 

Subtitle *

A subtitle or caption. 80 characters.

 

Author Name

The name of the member associated with this feature.

This optional field could be filled in with your display name.

 

Feature Link *

The URL for the feature.

 

Feature Image *

The image will be resized and cropped to 700 x 350. (JPG/PNG)

Upload this to an image host (e.g. imgur) and post in the PM. It could then be downloaded and re-uploaded to the form.

I got sent to the first page of as if I'd never read it despite the fact that I have several posts in there. Please for the love of Arceus fix this awful bug! And tell me how many posts I have read in thread while you're at it.

Generally speaking when that happens your login has failed.  Did you check?

Hmmm.  Do you leave your browser open when doing other things?  You may have invoked some time-out.  What happens if you close then re-open your browser?

Question ladies and gentlemen! I'm lately using my phone (Nokia) to browse the Simtrop forums, and for some threads, it shows me for the very first page of the thread, some directly to the latest reply of the thread...

I've checked whether I've logged in or not, but, that checking only solve few threads, and some still giving me the first page.

Perhaps this is not the right place to ask, so sorry. Thanks and regards...

Is it threads unreading all the posts you've read after a week?

 

 

On that note, how exactly is reading threads stored in the account data? Something is seriously wrong on my end.

Ehmmm.... Here.... At certain threads, the phone and the site gave me the latest reply or page at the thread, while at some thread, it just gave me the very first page. Which is hard since the browser didn't/can't show how to go to the very last page..

 

Again, problem like that only happen in my Nokia

Well, for now, you should be able to see the page numbers at the top of the page.  If not, go to the bottom where they should also be displayed.  You can then select the last page and press page-dpwn to get past the end, then work up to the latest posts.

 

If this work around doesn't work, you could try and find a different browser for your phone.

Oh, getting put on page one of a thread is something that happens to me all the time. I'm quite used to it (happens to me on another forum), so I don't really care that much.

My Nokia's browser does show that "Last post" feature, some works, some don't. 

Full Version? Hmm... Tried it, and my phone went totally dead for 2 days, and yesterday started randomly...

I don't know how to clear those cookie's and cache...
