About This File
This is the model of a SAR Cruiser of the 28m class as operated by the German rescue organization DGzRS.
It is a remarkably seaworthy vessel with a full aluminium hull designed in a net structure. It is powered by two MTU diesel engines with a combined power of 2.880kW, which allow speeds up to 24kts. It is designed and equipped to provide help in the most extreme weather conditions. It even has the capability of self-rightening in case of capsizing.
Their Motto: “Rausfahren, wenn andere reinkommen.”. (We go out, when others come in)
