Introduction
Torre Espacial, or Torre Interama, is a 200 metres (660 ft) high observation tower in the Villa Soldati section of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The tower was designed and manufactured in Austria by Waagner-Biro, and built between 1980 and May 1981 for the Parque de la Ciudad amusement park. The bankruptcy of the amusement park's developer, Interama S.A., delayed delivery of the observation tower components; the tower was ultimately opened to the public on July 9, 1985. It features observation decks at 120, 124, and 176 meters; from the highest deck it is possible to see the Uruguayan coast.
The LOT
I saw this tower in the
BAT request section and decide to work on it.
This set contain 4 lots - one tower landmark, and three cable anchors. They are separated so you can decide to plop whichever cable anchor you want depending on available land location, or not at all.
All lots can be found under landmark menu. Lot details as follow:
SD / HD ?
HD zip files : XDL - Torre Espacial - Maxis Nite.zip / XDL - Torre Espacial - Dark Nite.zip
SD zip files : Torre Espacial - Maxis Nite - SD.zip / Torre Espacial - Dark Nite -SD.zip
Unless you have a purpose of using zoom level 6, it is advised to grab SD version.
The Package
There are two zip files for each definition - one for Maxis Nite and one for Dark Nite.
Props are included for the tower and all anchors. Search for "prop_torre" / "prop_anchor".
Tower prop footprint is 15m x 15m, anchor prop footprint is 5m x 5m.
(of course you can adjust those stuff as you like if you know how)
The Anchor?
Please refer the picture below for the correct position for each anchor - A, B and C.
The "steps" also written on the in-game icon for convenience, hope you can understand it.
Technical Stuff
The tower did not given vertical 1.33 scaling as the original size suit the game environment very well. However the three observation decks are scaled vertically by 1.33x otherwise they looks squashed in-game.
The HD render option for the tower is not without it's penalty - zoom level 5 do present visual problem, it has amplified the "Moiré pattern" problem caused by lines that are too close together.
Misc
As usual, if got something broken, please let me know.
