A small farming community I've been working on slowly... Castle Hills. -CityNut607
  3. Show us Your Interchanges!

Opened SC4 for the first time in 4 months. Built this rather bulky corner T! I am a bit rusty at my NAM building skills at present. Gonna need some practice! *EDIT! I re-configured it as I didn't realize I had redundant lanes!! (told you I was rusty!) --CityNut607
  4. Alexandria Interchange Tour/Update

Thank you! I try my best. I've actually been away from SC4 for a while now with hopes of starting back up soon. RL has been pretty hectic lately!
  5. Alexandria Interchange Tour/Update

Hello! I am back after some time away. I've still been playing SC4 as often as I can, just have not had the time I need to post a proper CJ. As I promised, I would start to showcase my newest region of Ottawa, and here is the beginning. This map I found here on ST and is modeled after Ottawa Canada! (I have made a few adjustments from the original to make it work for what I needed.) My central city on this map is named Alexandria! Here is Alexandria after I first started: Satellite View: And here is a current screenshot of the region: Road Map: A lot of changes have taken place! Now the main reason for this CJ! I wanted to give you a tour of the interchanges I have built in this region. Personally I feel that they are my better work compared to my other regions, but I will let you be the judge. Here is the interchanges I will be showcasing this time around. They are numbered in the order they will be shown. Without further interruption, lets begin! #1 Located in Muldrow: #2 Also located in Muldrow. This one is slated for some changes in the near future. #3 I have shown this one already in the Show Us Your Interchanges section here on ST. This is the behemoth located in Pryor. #4 Also slated to be changed and updated. #5 Located in Benson is a massive interchange. This one is fairly new as well, and has been showcased elsewhere. #6 A very compact "T" interchange in Alexandria's downtown region. #7 Also in Alexandria, this interchange was part of a major works project to run the interstate under the river through a tunnel. (more about that project later) #8 Alexandria north of downtown. #9 Alexandria north of downtown: #10 This is one of my busiest interchanges in Alexandria. It has gone through a few rebuilds. Sadly, I did not document those changes. #11 This takes us to Port Walker just East of Alexandria. It is a major industrial port. #12-13 Simple trumpet in Port Walker. I wanted to show off the diagonal diamond, because I have struggled and usually avoid diagonal aspects of RHW, but have been playing around with them lately. #14 Last one for Port Walker. #15 We are now in Douglass and this is the most recent interchange I have built. I call it a split 4 way. #16 We now jump north to Stonewall #17 Englewood Cliffs That sums up every "major" interchange in Ottawa/Alexandria. I know that was a lot of content, but I have been building for a while without really sharing. My next update should hopefully detail individual communities in and around Ottawa. The next area I will be focusing my attention on is circled: I need to connect the ring road to the East of Alexandria and fill in the suburbs. But I have a lot planned, just finding time to do it! Thanks for joining! Always! --CityNut607
  6. I am still alive! RL has hit very hard the last year. I am hoping to get a CJ started this weekend. We will see.

  7. NAM.dll Open Beta

  8. Show us What you're Working On

Starting to work on my newest CJ for my city of Eddington! Be on the lookout! Here is a small preview of Farley, a suburb of Eddington. Region View: (Farley is circled on map) Downtown: Hopefully the full first edition of the CJ will be out soon! Take care until then! --CityNut607

    @Leathershoes&corn Hopefully soon!
  10. Show us Your Interchanges!

    Simple yet elegant!
  11. Show us your Region!

A new region I started a while back. Made some progress on it today!
  12. Show us Your Interchanges!

Evolution of the first interchange in my new city of Eddington. Rough sketch of the "idea". Idea becoming reality: Minor tweaks: Final Product: --CityNut607
  13. Show us What you're Working On

I present to you: Eddington A new region I am starting as of today. Based in the Portland/Vancouver region by @thecitiescenter. I also took inspiration from the City of Portland for basic road layout, but it will largely be all new design and creation. I also plan on creating a CJ for this region as time allows. Stay tuned for more updates on my newest creation. --CityNut607
  14. Fairway Highway Upgrades Phase 1

Major Construction Update! Downtown Fairway is going through some changes due to rapid growth! NHDOT (New Humboldt Dpt. of Transportation) has a project to re-route the East/West Mainline through downtown Fairway, as well as revamp and upgrade the North/South Mainline or highway. Both very big projects. Details include lowering of the highway below normal grade and using an underwater tunnel to cross the river. Fairway's downtown airport is also being moved and improved. The North/South Mainline is also being sunk below grade and major upgrades and improvements are coming to the interchange known as "The Beast." Our first section is going to focus on the relocation of the East/West Highway. It will be re-routed south from downtown from "Stadium Junction" It will then continue and turn west and connect to the new tunnel. The new tunnel will travel under Dogwood River. Construction Begins! The banks of the Dogwood River have been prepped and terraformed, and the Downtown Airport has been cleared. The first phase of the project was to construct the tunnel and begin the digging process to lower the highway. A new interchange with Foxmoore Blvd is being constructed as more terraforming is happening. Its nothing too fancy! Though it will only allow access to and from the south and not into "Stadium Junction." That interchange terminates into downtown surface streets after the removal of the "Water Front Highway." You can easily access the interstate from Meridian St. ( waaay up in upper right hand corner of picture.) Interchange complete! New overpasses are built to maintain main street flow and not cause any new routes to be put in place. The last exit before entering the tunnel. This allows access to Water Front Dr from the interstate. Something that was not there before. Future upgrades may include access to the tunnel from Water Front Dr. at some point. Those are future options. New exit to allow access to Riverside Industrial Park and the new Downtown Airport. Planners are already regretting using low of a volume interchange and it may be upgraded to a SPUI if traffic becomes too heavy. This area of Fairway is limited on space and land to allow for anything bigger or larger in capacity. Engineers are looking into it though. Project complete! Here is the overview of the project. COMMING SOON Phase two of Major Works Downtown, is this section of highway. It will also be sunken and a major overhaul of The Beast Interchange is underway! "The Beast" in its current state! Thanks for stopping by! --CityNut607
  15. Show us Your Interchanges!

@Leathershoes&corn,I am loving the look and realism in this post! Its what I strive to achieve and you sir have done it! And I may incorporate your interchange design sometime! Well done! I rebuilt the interchange in Orange Park that featured left exits and entrances. I also threw in some NAM 47 goodies! Before: After:
  16. @Ulisse Wolf @Lucario Boricua, I do apologize for posting what I did, as I did not understand that it needed to be a completely new creation. I was under the impression that anything that I have created in past was usable. I did not post that picture to create distrust or make anyone angry. I Thought I read requirements correctly and I misinterpreted the meaning of creative. I am sorry. And yes, I did vote for myself. As @SIM-ple Jack stated, a overwhelming number of people have voted for them selves in such a situation. If that is not allowed, then I will no longer do it. I am willing to re-enter the contest. That is not a problem for me. But please do not have any negative thoughts towards me or my intentions. I honestly thought I was doing what was required. Please understand. Also, (added after posting) I have been playing SC4 since it was released, I am here to have fun and continue to do so. I have just recently started to show of my regions and cities, and will continue.
  17. Can't find it?... Ask here!

I for the life of me cannot locate the Yoon Sol Office Building. Its a CAMe lot and I've googled it and looked in CAM forums, with no luck. Please help! Thanks! --CityNut607
  18. Show us Your Interchanges!

I have been working on the Claxton Metro and bringing it up to "code". Its been over a year since I have opened any cities on that side of New Humboldt. This is a very poor before shot (i forgot to take a picture of the before....) Luckily I hadn't progressed time and was able to get old outline! Here is the after! Much better flow! --CityNut607
  19. Fairway Highway Upgrades Phase 2

Phase 2 of Highway Upgrades!!! Hello again! Last time we saw phase 1 of the new upgrades to the East/West mainline highway through Fairway. Today we will focus on Phase 2! Phase 2's plan was to lower the grade of the highway through the downtown as well as complete reconstruction of "The Beast" interchange. (it really isn't a beast anymore) as well as change the grade of the North/South Highway. The aim of this project was to not only upgrade the highway system downtown, but it was to allow a more aesthetic appeal to the area. The old highway was raised and was beginning to become an eyesore to the downtown. This project was big and a lot of changes took place. Without further ado, lets dive in! Our first stop is this interchange: Everything leveled and prepped for new: (left grid on to emphasize terrain changes) Interchange has been replaced with a simple sunken diamond. This saves a lot of space and allows development to grow around the area. Other side of sunken Diamond heading into the T interchange: "T" interchange before: (sorry, I realized that I did not get a good picture of it...) New grade work: After: This interchange mostly kept its old configuration. Death of "The Beast" We are now moving into the former "Beast" interchange. Before: After: (not final configuration) This next interchange did not change much either. Mostly coordinating the new sunken levels. Before: (this pic is turned a different direction) After: Project Complete! Here are overviews of the same areas we just saw with completed features: And lastly, pics of after development: That concludes the presentation of this project. Questions can now be taken! Future Plans Preview of things to come: The two circled areas are where I want to focus my attention to next! Lower left corner is the final leg of the ring road to be finished, and the upper box includes the newest development of the region. I am thinking about maybe streaming live the work on the final leg of the ring road if anyone would be interested. I want to allow people to see the way I plan and build in full detail that I cannot capture in a CJ. Another project I am going to work on is creating a detailed map of Fairway Metro and actually label the highways and major arteries. Its not a small task, but it needs to be done. To help you all better know where you are at when I am showcasing. Any tips are appreciated. Thank you all for viewing and your support of Fairway. The region continues to grow and I plan to keep going with this CJ for a while. Until next time, -- CityNut607
  20. Ellwood City

New Humboldt is BACK!! This update is going to focus on a new city I have recently developed in New Humboldt. That city is Ellwood City. Ellwood City is located south west of Fairway. Its population is around 30,000. Overview of current state of Fairway Metro: (location of Ellwood City circled) Ellwood City is in the ring of new development that I have been working on in my spare time. Mostly rural areas outside of Fairway Metro. I have highlighted in white the area I have been developing over the last few months. Ellwood City has a small town feel with the attitude of a big city. With the recent rise in development around New Humboldt, Ellwood City has thrived with several highway connections to the main road network of Fairway. (and possibly more to come ) Here is an aerial view of Ellwood City. And a closer look at Central Ellwood: The city has started a new road project to re-rout the North/South mainline through the city. It currently is following an old out of date line and splits the highway into two segments. The new alignment will allow a straight shot out of town to the existing intersection. Project area: Proposed route with modifications to city streets: Construction begins: New route in place: Paving beginning: A new signaled intersection: (The old barn is being saved by the City for a new Farmers Market/Library complex.) Planned modifications to city streets at Fire Dept: Completed modifications: Paving finished: New City Farm Market and Public Library: After completion, it was noticed that the new roundabout at the Fire Dept. was not working well. A new alignment is planned: And complete: I hope to showcase some more of Ellwood City soon. I am off of work for the week and weekend! SO I plan lots of SC4 time! No real news on the Ring Road Project yet though. I may tackle that this week. Its kind of a mess right now..... , But you will know when I do!! But New Humboldt is not dead! It is still growing A LOT! The region has a population of 2.6 million sims at present time. Its my biggest yet! Stay tuned for more!!! Thanks! --CityNut607
