  1. Alexandria Interchange Tour/Update

Hello! I am back after some time away. I've still been playing SC4 as often as I can, just have not had the time I need to post a proper CJ. As I promised, I would start to showcase my newest region of Ottawa, and here is the beginning. This map I found here on ST and is modeled after Ottawa Canada! (I have made a few adjustments from the original to make it work for what I needed.) My central city on this map is named Alexandria! Here is Alexandria after I first started: Satellite View: And here is a current screenshot of the region: Road Map: A lot of changes have taken place! Now the main reason for this CJ! I wanted to give you a tour of the interchanges I have built in this region. Personally I feel that they are my better work compared to my other regions, but I will let you be the judge. Here is the interchanges I will be showcasing this time around. They are numbered in the order they will be shown. Without further interruption, lets begin! #1 Located in Muldrow: #2 Also located in Muldrow. This one is slated for some changes in the near future. #3 I have shown this one already in the Show Us Your Interchanges section here on ST. This is the behemoth located in Pryor. #4 Also slated to be changed and updated. #5 Located in Benson is a massive interchange. This one is fairly new as well, and has been showcased elsewhere. #6 A very compact "T" interchange in Alexandria's downtown region. #7 Also in Alexandria, this interchange was part of a major works project to run the interstate under the river through a tunnel. (more about that project later) #8 Alexandria north of downtown. #9 Alexandria north of downtown: #10 This is one of my busiest interchanges in Alexandria. It has gone through a few rebuilds. Sadly, I did not document those changes. #11 This takes us to Port Walker just East of Alexandria. It is a major industrial port. #12-13 Simple trumpet in Port Walker. I wanted to show off the diagonal diamond, because I have struggled and usually avoid diagonal aspects of RHW, but have been playing around with them lately. #14 Last one for Port Walker. #15 We are now in Douglass and this is the most recent interchange I have built. I call it a split 4 way. #16 We now jump north to Stonewall #17 Englewood Cliffs That sums up every "major" interchange in Ottawa/Alexandria. I know that was a lot of content, but I have been building for a while without really sharing. My next update should hopefully detail individual communities in and around Ottawa. The next area I will be focusing my attention on is circled: I need to connect the ring road to the East of Alexandria and fill in the suburbs. But I have a lot planned, just finding time to do it! Thanks for joining! Always! --CityNut607

Here's a slightly bigger CBD that was warmly received by much of the community. Thank you for that!

  3. 1.2.Kingdom of Alexandria | Sirmium

Sirmium was a city in ancient Roman Pannonia. First mentioned in the 4th century BC and originally inhabited by the Illyrians and Celts, it was conquered by the Romans in the 1st century BC and subsequently became the capital of the Roman province of Lower Pannonia. In 294 AD, Sirmium was pronounced one of the four capitals of the Roman Empire. It was also the capital of the Praetorian prefecture of Illyricum and of Pannonia SecundaProvince. Sirmium was located on the Sava river, on the site of modern Sremska Mitrovica in Vojvodina province, northern Serbia. The Republic of Serbia declared its site an Archaeological Sites of Exceptional Importance in 1990. The modern region of Syrmia (Srem) is named after it. Sirmium had 100,000 inhabitants and was one of the biggest cities of its time. Colin McEvedy, however, puts the population at only 7.000, based on the size of the archaeological site. Ammianus Marcellinus called it "the glorious mother of cities". In the late 17th century, during Ottoman revange invansion of Serbia, majority of Alexandrians fled from Kosovo and Metohija to North, to Austria-Hungary. Alexandrians flooded towns in Austria-Hungary. One of them was Sirmium. Sirmium was a small town in Panonnia, and agriculture was its priority. Austria-Hungary wanted to help Alexandrians, only if they protect them and rest of Europe against Ottomans. Alexandrians accepted their offer, and Austria-Hungaria built nice looking w2w homes in the center of town. Alexandrians were good traders, and they still are. They learned their skill from the Byzantians and the Venetians Austria-Hungary also built Orthodox church for Alexandrians and minority of Serbs. Next to it is the old courthouse, that today servs as a museum. For almost two centyries, Serbs defended Europe from Ottomans, until in 1912., Serbia, again became independent country. The Northern cities like Sirmium and Singidunum became centers of economy, politics, etc. They were developing, until 1941. when WW2 came into Kingdom of Serbia. Nazis lost the war, and Serbia was liberated again, but, it wasnt Kingdom anymore, it became country with Communist regime. They are protected by law, and stand to remind us of specific West Communisam, and broterhood and unity. learn more==> Brutalist architecture. Commie buildings were overflowing the perifery of Sirmium. Agriculture was destroyed, and large factories were built on agricultural fields. After fall of Yugoslavia, and communist regime, 6 republics and one kingdom were made. Republics: Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, FYR Macedonia and Kingdom of Alexandria. Kingdom of Alexandria, with cities: Sirmium, Singidunum, Naisus, Neoplanta, etc...
  4. Guaranty Building (Flagless)

    Version 1.2

This is a slightly updated version of my previous Guaranty Bank Building I made a few years ago. It was taken down from the STEX but now its back. T Wrecks lotted this one and sent it to me again a few months or so previously. Yeah...I've been meaning to get this up for you guys... xD Well this is the Guaranty Bank Building without the flags on it like the previous version I re-uploaded. This one is also relotted by our friend T Wrecks, which gives it a more nifty appearance. The building was originally known as the Guaranty Bank & Trust Building or the Guaranty Building and was erected in 1920 with 10 floors and was and still is the tallest building in Alexandria Louisiana. Hibernia National Bank moved in after a while, and then Capital One Bank moved in after that and still occupy it to this day. Thus it's now known as the Capital One Bank Building. Stats- Lot Size- 3x2 Occupants- CO$$ Jobs- Tree-fiftee (350) This building is also W2W, mainly on its back. Somewhat unfortunately the real building's dimensions exceeded a 2x1 lot size. It's mainly for corners. NOTE: If you have the previous version witht he flags, I'd recomend deleting it. There could be possibly conflcits with having both files but I never tested this myself. Better safe than sorry. Dependencies- BSC Mega Props GC Vol. 1 BSC Mega Props JES Vol. 1 I hope you all enjoy this one! (oh no I broke my dialect briefly!!!!11one11!! G'Day Simtropians, Today I have a smallish map to show and again quite flatish, borne not so much from a request but more an off the cuff remark by Sgt Pepper. I decided to make it and all the ingredients were fed into the map-o-matic, bless her little a... without the whipmarks. Being a low map many of the drains and creeks were able to be added also. Thanks Sarge. Alexandria is situated near on dab in the middle of Louisiana and lies mostly on the south bank of the Red River. See this map up CLOSE and personal. Onto the important details, this is a real world map and was produced with dem and satellite data. It measures 36.864km x 36.864km. It's 16bits and in .SC4M format and requires the use of Wouanagaine's mapper or terraformer to import it. It's also terrain and scale accurate. As always a readme featuring some links a few instructions is included at no cost. That is I think about all. Cheers

Ladies & Gentlemen... The Great Lighthouse of Alexandria. Built to withstand the ravages of sea and time, The 40-story high Great Pharos Lighthouse stood as the tallest structure on Earth for almost 15 centuries... finally succumbing to a series of devastating earthquakes in the 1300s. Of the 6 fallen Ancient Wonders, the Lighthouse was the last to fall. Lost to The Ages, a team from the Pegadyne Oceanographic Institute recently located and recovered the ruins from the harbor of Alexandria. Strapped for cash, the local government eagerly sold the ruins to Pegadyne Industries who carefully preserved and transported them back to your city. And there, as yet another public relations coup for the corporation, the ruins have been restored to their prior glory and now serve as a museum of Ancient Civilization for all the world to enjoy. " This 8x8 lot (10x10 actual) historical landmark functions as a museum and serious tourist magnet. It contains all the properties and benefits of a normal museum (except plop price) and also includes the benefits of a landmark and tourist attraction. This is a massive monument, Boys & Girls... assembled modular style from 10 basic interconnecting models. Numerous other custom props, textures, and sound effects were designed exclusively for this lot... including 14 individual offset-rendered props and models just for the seawalls alone. The lot is designed to be plopped on water like the game's default seaport. However, it can also be plopped on dry land and used with the PEG Pond Kit to create a surrounding river or lake. The large parking area is transit enabled and when connected to your road network, cars and school buses will drive through it. ** Special thanks to BarbyW, Andreas, Blackbeard, & ParadiseFarm for their assistance during the development of this project. The Great Lighthouse has NO mandatory external dependencies. The PEG Oasis Park is recommended for expanding the museum/park complex. DLL Dependencies In order for the contents of this package to display correctly by taking advantage of the new DLL Mods requires the complete installation of the following dependencies (the below listed dependencies are covering a full install): Submenus DLL - You need it to get the package submenu working. Compatible only with the digital version (1.1.641) of SimCity 4 (Microsoft Windows and Linux only). All Pegasus files are now legacy content and are no longer officially supported - however support from the wider community can be requested here.
