  1. Oh, alright then. I am not familiar with Unity3D at the core, so I did not know that.
  2. I would like to see official mods which the user can apply to change the limits of this game based on what they are willing to do with their computer so not everyone has to endure the pain of what the the mega-pc users can do. Just a thought and I hope that can be even done.
  3. What Are Your System Specs?

My specs are 2x Xeon E5-2690s @3.5GHz (2x8cores/16threads, upgrading to e5-2687W v2s at some point), 16GB memory (upgrading to 128GB at some point, also had 64GB, but it was ECC, so I changed it over to gaming), a GTX980 GRID model, and 8x,10k rpm SAS 160GB drives in a raid-0 setup. I also do virtualization, hence the crazy cores/threads count.
  4. Cities: Skylines Natural Disasters

I am hoping for nuclear armageddon.
  5. Tribute to A Nonny Moose

Extremely saddened by this news... I don't know what else to say...
  6. Are you prepared for total hard drive failure?

I back up to my deatacentre quite frequently as I have all my data in a RAID-0 setup.
  7. Cities: Skylines Natural Disasters

I hope for nuclear armageddon! I love big, explodie bombs!
  8. I decided to bite the bullet and move to windows 10. It is surprisingly good, but still a little buggy OS. It also supports my 2004 Paraell SCSI controller too. I still plan to go Linux when Wine is able to successfully do Final Fantasy XIV (14) without a hitch.
  9. Thanks for this info. I might just abondon windblows all together now.
  10. Problems with SimCity 3000 on Windows 10

Don't use winblows 10. If unable to change OS, get Oracle VirtualBox and run windows 2000 or XP on it, then install SC3000. Note: Your CPU must be able to support Virtualization Instructions.
  11. I can just see the inferno of anger if this was the case, but I do agree on the fact that modders deserve a "medal" or more.
  12. 2 questions here.

Hi, I have 2 questions here. 1. Is there a location on the internet where all the RCI SimCity 3000 Unlimited buildings (from all tilesets) have been re-created for SC4? 2. Is there any way at all to have a residential ploppable that actually works? (Trying to make an acrology-like lot/building) Thanks in advanced.
  13. april 1st 3D Camera Mod for SimCity 4

    Wow, troll much?
  14. Cities: Skylines Natural Disasters

HAHAHAHA! Meteors R us! Perfect! I love meteors! I am so looking forward to this apocalyptic xpack.
  15. Yea, I did chat with the CO CEO, and that is what I was told also about the possible modding. It can be done, however, but will require ludicrous knowledge of the Unity engine and the game and infinite patience. It was also said that the ability to change settings based on the specs of the pc is not possible to implement at this time. There is hope that this can be done my them at a later date, even though my i7-4790 is already screaming at me whenever I construct a huge city.
  16. I have been banned from the Micro$courage forums for calling them out on their nonsense. Lol, I guess I hurt someones' ego there.
  17. Any chance of a modder being able to modify the agent limits in the game? That would be great if it is possible to accomplish. (I know about the tree limit mod already)
  18. SimCity is an awesome game, it is unfortunate that EA did what they did...
  19. I am not using windows update whatsoever. I am behind a debian gateway (Untangle) and to me and many others who have used it, it remains fortified.
  20. Well how do you know it is a lie? Did you help develop the engine? Maxis would know what the limits are because they engineered the engine. How would you know something that you did not engineer? Unless you reverse-engineered the game engine itself, I highly doubt you would know this.
  21. Northern Valethorn Area WIP

It is Cites Skylines. A 2015 city builder. Developed by Colossal Order and Paradox Interactive. Built on the Unity engine.
  22. Speeding up Game loading times

HDDs for $30 each (4 of them @ 300GB each) and $25 for the SAS controller. Got them off of ebay used about 4 years ago and never have let me down.
  23. Speeding up Game loading times

My SC4 is on a RAID-0 10k RPM SAS3 Hard Drive array. It takes only 15 seconds to totally load 8GBs of data on a huge map.
  24. I plan to stick with Windows 7 even after it is dead because I despise windows 8.x and 10 with a passion. Micro$courage can shove their life cycle policy up the lips they never kiss with.
