This was an April fools day joke. All it does in response to the Control + Z shortcut is show an in-game message box with "Happy April Fools Day.". It now serves as a demo of how a DLL can add its own keyboard shortcuts to the game. System Requirements Windows 10 or later Installation Close SimCity 4. Copy SC4Undo.dll and Undo.dat into the Plugins folder in the SimCity 4 installation directory. Start SimCity 4. Usage Press Control + Z while in the city view. -

You know NAM, you know CAM, now get ready for BAM! Sick and tired of criminals, thefts, liars, politicians, monorail fans, and donuts eaters? Let Bartman help you! This mod will introduce to SimNation the number one crime fighter of Springfield, effectively decreasing the crime in your cities and protecting the good, innocent donuts from police officers and nuclear plant workers. But unlike other mods that would just simulate having Bartman fighting the bad guys by just adding little files to decrease the crime levels in your game, this mod adds Bartman himself! No joke. No simulations. The real stuff. How? Thanks to the wonders of the technology of 31st century New New York, Bartman himself have been digitized and now he's ready to protect your cities. Just add him in your plugins folder and congrats, you now have Bartman in your SimCity. It's time to do the Bartman and let those criminals eat your shorts, mayor. And have a nice day -

These days, you can find dark mode, everywhere, from Windows to Reddit. SimCity 4 also has dark mode, too. But, have you ever think how to make your SimCity 4 even darker too? Well, this mod is exactly for ya. It's designed specifically to make the best dark mode ever achieved in SimCity 4's modding history. No other mods come close to this. We have been collaborating with experts from various field, from modders, pro players, to even color scientists, for almost 4 years. This is the result. Here's the explanation from our color scientist, DaBest Professah Evah. The secret sauce is pretty simple. The mod will circumvent any event management on Gonzo framework The mod will circumvent clock cycle in your computer The mod will circumvent your home's meter The mod will do its own tricks, aka good ol' power cut Voila! You get an ultimate dark mode To install this mod, you just need to drag the file to your Plugins folder. To uninstall (which is unlikely, I guess?), just move out from the folder. There are lots of serious side effects to be considered before you install this mod. It'll close your SimCity 4 session. This could be serious especially if you enable it before you save your city. Save your city first before attempting to do so. It'll mess up your CPU. I mean, seriously. I guess these days, CPUs are cheap huh? No problem. It'll mess up your power meter. This could land you into legal disputes between you and your electric company. Consult your own lawyer before enabling this mod. It'll cut off electricity going to your neighborhood. Again, this is very serious legal problem. Consult your own lawyer. It'll cut every single electric grid in this whole world. You're entirely responsible for what are you doing with this mod! Failing to do so will list you in every single Most Wanted lists in every country's police. You'll be invaded by militaries, including from Area 52. Oh yeah, Dr Vu will threaten you to stop this mod or else... (fill in). You'll lose everything, both regarding SimCity 4 and even real life. This mod is only be used for people who have unlimited courage and responsibility. Good luck! -

SimCity 4 has a lot of cool disasters but I feel there's a few missing ones. Over the last year, I accessed some of the files and even contacted EA. Luckily one of my relatives is friends with someone that works in EA and after talking to them, they gave me the specific source code I needed. Note that I was told I'm allowed to distribute this mod as long as I don't sell it otherwise big scary men in black suits will show up to my house and destroy me. This mod will add new disasters from the game that I thought were missing. Some of these were already coded in the game and some me and my super intelligent coding buddy created this. Combined with my designer room-mate and animator, I was able to create a mod that may just be in the same calibre as NAM! New Disasters: - Epidemic: Inspired by a certain virus which shall not be named here, this was the first disaster I made and it's what gave me the idea for the mod. You can click on a specific region of the map and as the game months go by the sickness rates will increase and spread. The longer you hold click on the area the more severe the virus. (Similar to the "pandemic" event in SimCity Societies.) Like fires & riots, it can be set as an automatic disaster too The duration of the pandemic depends on both the initial severity and how well you handle it in-game. If set as "automatic disaster," then epidemics will happen randomly. Lack of health coverage/funding will increase the chances of an outbreak occurring and they will be more severe. Health advisor will pop up every few months to tell you the current death toll, cases, and how many have recovered. Note: Disease research center lowers the chances of outbreaks by 10% to 50% max depending on funding. This building is REQUIRED in order to make a vaccine. The higher the budget, the faster a vaccine will be found for the virus (advisor notifies you when they do!). Tips: Have good hospitals. Hospitals will be at over-capacity. You can also build graveyards freely, as they will fill up as sims die. You get to choose, your sims health or your economy. - Tsunami: For coastal cities (Land must be at least 30% water) you can trigger a tsunami. Like earthquakes, click the area on the water (the longer you hold it the bigger the wave). After anywhere from a game day to a game month, a tsunami will come and flood your city. Tip: Most buildings flooded will be abandoned or destroyed after. It was tricky figuring out the which buildings can tolerate or which can't. Water effects still under development! - Hurricanes: This one took me a long time to make. Luckily someone already made a good cosmetic template and I was able to figure out how to animate the trees. All maxis flora and PEG's have been animated though I will do more trees in a later release. Hurricanes can be automatically activated but they will happen in any map, even non-tropical ones. Then again, you can assume they're just a bad storm The category is random when automatic. To manually trigger a hurricane, click on any area and hold the mouse. The longer you hold it the more severe. The general advisor will tell you ahead of time (usually 3-14 game days) how severe the hurricane will be and the expected landfall. They will last anywhere from 2-10 game days. Like tsunamis, floods will be simulated too and cause abandonment. Some trees will be uprooted depending on severity. Power outages are simulated, though they are random. After the hurricane, power will be restored over the course of several game months/years. Note: Hurricanes will also appear in regional view, super realistic: Still working on making those clouds look more realistic. Hopefully these were okay for now. - Wild-Fires Pretty straight forward, similar to the normal fire disaster, except it will SPREAD fast, depending on wind direction. Can be automatically enabled, where the disaster will start in poor fire-fighting areas. Normal fires can also become wild-fires too. These can be severe and will literally burn your whole city down if there's no firefighters nearby! New ordinances have been added to the game. These include: - Evacuate: When enacted, sims will evacuate whenever a disaster warning is in place. Make sure to disable it otherwise citizens don't come back! Useful for wild-fires, hurricanes and tsunamis. Can also be used for wild-fires too! - Quarantine: When enabled, Sims will hide in their homes and only leave when necessary. Restaurants, bars and small business will close and you will see less cars/sims on the roads. The monthly cost is proportional to the size of the city. Positive effects is cases will stop increasing and even go down, however, income will also go down and you may notice job zots appear as sims lose their jobs. If left on long enough, businesses such as restaurants will become abandoned. This ordinance prevents sims from leaving the city too which prevents potentially spreading the virus to other cities, creating epidemics on other regional cities (The closest thing to a "pandemic" I can make with the game limitations.) Note: After 6 game months, mayor rating will start to plummet until the quarantine is de-activated. This effect will last about 10-50 game years afterwards. Do NOT activate this mod when there is no epidemic or your whole city will be abandoned after 6 game months! - Mask Mandate When enacted, sims will be required to wear masks to prevent the spread of disease. When enacted, sickness will go down and cases will decrease during epidemic. Monthly cost is proportional to the city size. This mod can be enabled without epidemic (useful when hospitals are over-capacity) though negative effects still apply. Negative effects include the Mayor rating going down the longer you enact it. Crime rate will increase from 5-25% and the chances of riots will increase to 50-80% in the first 6 game months before lowering then increasing again after a game year. Abandonment will happen as citizens leave your city unhappy. Jails will fill from the increase in crime rate. -

I strongly believe that we need to give a lot of credits to the Maxis team for creating so many things about our favorite game, including a huge variety of grown-able lots of all types of RCI buildings available. But I also believe that we need to admit the elephant in our room and realize that their work at those lots needed some extra work, because the more we examine those lots, the more errors we find, such as misplaced props, empty spaces, missing textures, textures above other textures, parking lots surrounded by fences, homes with no fences at all, pathways that leads to nowhere and the list goes on. And this is where HRAM comes into the game. HyperRealism Addon Mod is exactly that it says. A mod that fixes all those problems by changing and upgrading a huge number of RCI lots, making them hyper realistic. By downloading and installing this mod, all homes will get their fences, all parking lots will be connected to your roads, all those unnecessarily empty spaces will be filled by hyper realistic details, and your cities will be so hyper realistic that even the most serious players will envy them. What you see at the pictures is not the entire mod. It's only a small taste of this incredible mod that I've been secretly working on. Don't believe me? You think it's just a text file saying "Happy April Fool's Day"? Then, go ahead! Download it that, and see it by yourself! What do you thing I am? A prankster? Probably the best thing about this mod is the fact that it will make your lots hyper realistic without the need of tons of dependencies, allowing even the vanilla players to admire the wonders of this epic mod. Just make sure you have SimCity 4 Buildings as Props and Rush Hour Buildings as Props which are available here, as well as the Plugin Landmark Props. Oh, and you'll also need to either open a new city, or demolish all the Maxis-made RCI buildings on your already existed cities, if you want to see the wonders of hyper realism unfolded in front of you. Have fun and have a nice day -

Hello, After the success of I present you the ultimate way to play SimCity 4, play it in real life. Yes, you heard it right. Real life! This is a mod that enables you to play SC4 in real life without any assistance such as VR headset, hologram, or play cardboards. With this mod, you can literally rule regions as a mayor, a king, a president, or whatever you like, without even leaving your seat. You can literally change your surrounding terrain with your own finger, much like Greek gods. You can zone RCI and literally plopping network and buildings as you like with your own finger. You can feel the luxury offered by the mansion with your own sense. To install this incredible mod, just drop the mod in your Documents Plugin folder. Then, launch the SC4. Instead opening in your computer, the game will be launched in real life. There will be paperworks, a pen, etc. Use those items as you would in real life. You also have magical inner abilities possessed by your body regarding terraforming and mayoral tasks. Interact those abilities with your own brain and the respective part of your body. For instance, if you want to raise the terrain, think you're gonna terraform and use your finger to do so. Another instance is if you want to hear the voice of your sims from far distance, think you're gonna do so and listen to the voice using your ears. Be warned though, there are some quirks: The stress of being a mayor will be felt by you in real life. Be prepared. If not, don't worry. Delegate those tasks to your advisors by literally speaking to them. The consequence of your action is literally instant. For instance, if you don't supply the population with enough water, the population will instantly thirsty and the machines that on water won't function immediately. Beware of this by thinking twice. Again, if you don't wish to do so yourself, you can delegate the task to your advisors. You'll be rich in real life. You can enjoy the glamourous life of rich politician and let your advisors running the government. But if you wish to override your advisors' decision, you can. Never ever to remove the mod. You will lose control of your region and there will be real life consequence. For instance, your citizens will protest on you if you lost control over the city water. Not only that, you'll lose your abilities and that isn't a pleasant experience mentally. Consult with your expert and citizens if you really wish to remove the mods. Also, you'll lose your opulence immediately, including your silver spoon, for instance. You can run the "simulation" (or real life I guess) at any speed the game allows. Basically, you're the time god now. Any disaster you summon will affect your citizens in real life. Don't abuse your power. You're basically the disaster god. Always react to disaster quickly. If not, serious consequence will come. For instance, if you tolerate a fire spread, the affected citizens will lose lots of money and you'll be literally loaded by insurance claims. You're the protector of your citizens. Any type of pollution will affect your citizens. For instance if you have lots of water pollution, your citizens will be poisoned. Be prepared of real life transport of the poisoned to the hospital by ambulances. Similarly, any type of civic quality will affect your citizens. For instance if you can raise the city's EQ to 180, your citizens' intelligence is equivalent to the city EQ of 180. Always improve your citizen service. Your mayor rating will affect your position in the future, literally. If you have negative mayor rating, you'll be literally kicked out from the office. Always maintain your mayor rating preferably in positive ways, or if you're allied with Dr Vu, in negative ways. If you have problems, leave it in the comments. Thanks. -

Tired of waiting for your cities to grow? Cheetah-mode still not fast enough? Not anymore! In a society of instant-gratification, we don't have time for many things, including waiting for entire cities to grow! With this mod, you can speed up the process significantly! This mod allows you to run Sim-City 4 even faster than Cheetah-mode, in fact as much as 8X cheetah mode! This mod was made after searching for months through the SimCity_1.Dat file, where I found a bunch of settings that control the simulation-speed! Turns out it seems the developers had planned on making the simulation with even faster than cheetah options but may have disabled it since there was a lot of bugs or instability. Today however, most computers are a lot better than back in 2003 and should handle the game much better! There are three options, 2X, 4X, or 8X cheetah mode speed! How to install: Click on the "Readme!" file for more instructions. Simply copy ONLY one of the .Dat files (2X, 4X, or 8X) to your Plugins folder Copy the Speed.DLL file into your plugins folder too If you use 4X or 8X, then install "Stabilizer.Dat" to make the game more stable. Afterwards all you have to do is disable the advisors through the game settings, then double-click the cheetah-mode speed to make the game go whichever speed you installed! (2X, 4X, or 8X) No dependencies needed! Always back up your regions!!! Here's a video of me using the mod. First part of the video I use 2X cheetah super-speed. At the end I test out 8X Cheetah super-speed in a small map: Troubleshooting: Note that the sound bugs out a bit during the super speed but don't worry it's perfectly normal. BACKUP YOUR CITIES AND REGIONS!! I'm not responsible for any damage to your cities from super-speed! Also if you have any trouble running the mod, simply right-click on any of the .DAT Files and select "Open with" and choose "Note-Pad." From there there are several settings you can choose to make it work however you like! Take your time and scroll through it all. There are easter eggs in them too as well as more game settings especially in the "Stabilizer.dat" If you have any more issues please read the "Troubleshooting info.txt" file for more information! After testing the mod for many months in a secret beta here, I was able to iron out most bugs and put their fix in a "stabilizer" file. Despite that however, there are still some bugs. List of Some Known Small Bugs and tips: (SS stands for Super-Speed). Click on spoiler for more info. Super-Speed Mod.zip -

Take your SimCity 4 Experience to a whole new level with my lighting mod! With this mod, the sun shines brighter, the skies look bluer and the shadows are animated! After many hours of looking through the SimCity_1.dat file and messing with exemplar settings, I have managed to make this game look more like real life! I even modeled a realistic atmosphere in 3Ds max and figured out how to make shadows move! Fully animated shadows! (Cheetah Mode) Features: - Realistic atmospheric lighting in-game both in day and night - Realistic Clouds in both region and mayor view! - Realistic Weather including rain and snow! - Fully animated moving shadows! (These took the longest to make) - Realistic rain showers and thunderstorms that spawn randomly throughout the sim day! Roads will get wet like real life! - Randomly spawning tornadoes! During particularly bad thunderstorms you may get a tornado that's EF1 to EF5! - Regional View clouds are much more realistic! - Realistic Fires too! With full 3D smoke! Minor Bugs and Issues - Realistic day/night mod is very CPU intensive since it features moving shadows - Regional clouds tend to be glitchy on Nvidia machines. Recommend downgrading to older 355 or earlier drivers - Shadows will freeze sometimes in cheetah mode unless you have a decent PC - Rainwater may not be wet enough - Graphics combined with other mods may make this game look better than real life. - Might make SimCity 4 addictive - Game crashes every 5-10 minutes on 90% of all attempts of running it with this mod - Game crashes every 20-57 minutes on 66% of all attempts - Screenshots using F10 will crash the game - Taking a screenshot with your android or iphone will crash both the phone and the game - Saving while exiting to region view crashes the game - Exiting the game during a thunderstorm might cause both your computer and internet to crash - Exiting the game during tornado will cause permanent corruption to your city and all of its backups on the computer. Beware! - Tornadoes sometimes spawn and are so realistic that they'll make your bedroom and house messy - EF5 tornadoes are very RAM intensive and will use up over 60 GB of RAM. If you don't have enough RAM, your PC will explode - U-Drive it mode doesn't work - Sim-Mode doesn't work - Realistic 3D fires may burn your PC and house down - Mod is fully compatible with my 3D SimCity 4 mod, but will crash 9/10 times - Snow storms might freeze your game and occasionally your PC as well - If the power goes out in your game that's because the snow storm or tornado knocked it out. If the power goes out in your home, just take the mod out of your plugins and it should be fine - May cause minor frustration - There's been a huge inflation in Sim Nation so prices of buildings has increased 1000 fold. - Sometimes the music will skip like a broken record in a blender - Cities take a very long time to recover from the EF3 and above tornadoes - The brighter sunlight may cause skin cancer. Sun glasses and sun screen is recommended before installing this mod - Shadows might be purple at first but that's okay, that means the mod is working! Aside from those issues everything works great! If you still have any problems, just keep this quote in mind: 'As Perfection Rises It Like Falls On Over Leny's Sock...before settling for only the first letter found for which it stands; and therefore conceives only the true meaning, and intention, of the greatest mod ever made.' -

REGIONAL NIGHT VIEW MOD At long last, after a long time, I have finally made a mod that allows you to view your regions at night! After a long time of searching, turns out there's a hidden option maxis meant to implement in the SimCity_1.Dat file that allows regional night view! When you save a city, SC4 generates an image of the city that can be viewed in regional night view. This mod unlocks a hidden option that Maxis removed in the game's development that allows night mode in the region view. The game actually saves the nightlights already even without this mod believe it or not, just not at night. Now you can finally see night mode! I had to make the night view atmosphere manually using the DAT files and based it off SimFox Day'nite mod to match the mayor mode night view since all cool kids now'days are using it How to Install: You must follow these steps EXACTLY as below in order for this mod to properly work!!! 1. Unpack ONLY .dat files to the plugins folder 2. Unpack the DDS Saver Updater Mc-thingy.dll file into the Programs/Maxis/SimCity 4/Plugins Folder 3. Copy the DDS Files to to the same place as step 2 4. Also copy the .dds files to your plugins folder in My Documents while you're at it 5. Once finished, start the game. 6. You should see a new button on the regional view simniliar to the day/night on mayor mode panel! Once you see it, click on it and you can switch to a realistic nightview! In order to see nightlights, load up one of your cities (or civilized areas of your region!). In mayor mode, switch to day view then night view until all city lights are on. THEN save the game and exit to region. You MUST have it switched to night when you save. The reason for this is because of the way SC4 saves region files. Repeat for all cities. To switch back to daylight, follow the same procedure as previously stated but with day view instead of night view Now you must have SimFox Day n' Nite installed since I had to manually create the night view on the region that matches city view too. You won't see nightlights immediately though. 7. Please refer to the troubleshooting manual in my read me if you encounter any issues as it is highly imperative proper installation procedures are followed or cities may be corrupted, forever. It's likely they removed this feature because of the game's limitation of having to save every city and exit out in night mode, hence why they left it as day time. Bugs/Possible issues -At the moment, this mod only works on Windows. Tried installing this on a mac but it crashed then exploded (possibly for an unrelated reason) -Possible artifacts from Maxis -Requires EP1 update to work -It can get quite tedious saving every individual city in your region but boy it's worth it! Best part? If you want to switch back to day time, all you have to do is go back and save EVERY single city again but with day mode this time! Isn't that great?! -Likewise you also need update 1.1.640 for this mod to work -For months, I couldn't figure out how to get the UI to show up consistently. Give this mod a little time. It'll warm up to ya. -Occasional instability and slow FPS in night mode. -One time I used this mod to take pics of my region for my city journal! It's time I share with you...my genius! -Likely possibility of this mod not working if instructions are not followed correctly! 'Tis the season for Christmas, this mod is compatible with snow mod terrain and also compatible with NAM, CAM, SPAM, FLAM, JAM, DAM, DiaphRAM, etc. -Sometimes, the game crashes and corrupts all city files with this mod when taking screenshots. Must be another game limitation. Taking a screenshot with my iphone or samsung crashes the phone and the game. DEPENDENCIES: -SimFox's Day/nite Mod -SimCity 4 Rush Hour or Deluxe with EP1 or 1.1.640 update -A Working Windows PC -Working internet to show off your wonderful regional night views!- 11 Comments

Tired of SimCity 4's puny little map sizes? Even the largest tiles are only 4x4 km, but this mod makes it possible for an even larger map size by adding a "Very Large" 8x8 km (512x512 tiles) map! That's 4 Times bigger than the largest tile in the game and 8 times bigger than SimCity 2013's Maps! SimCity 4 by default has 3 map sizes: Small 1x1 km (64x64 tiles) Medium 2x2 km (128x128 tiles) Large 4x4 km (256x256 tiles) This mod adds: Very Large 8x8 km (512x512 tiles) That is 4X larger than the largest map! Files included in ZIP file: -"8x8_km.dat" - Includes the larger map size option and adds "yellow" as the option in "paint" when editing. -"Compatibility_Module" - Allows for compatibility with SC4 Mapper and SC4 Terraformer. -"Larger Maps.dll" - Required to allow the game to recognize the larger map sizes as tiles and allows them to load as well as allows cities to be built on them. Also makes it possible to save these larger maps. Also includes two new songs that would make great background music to play while you build your metropolises on those nice larger maps! No dependencies, works with SC4 Rush Hour, with or without the patches. Please read the README first before installing! How to Install: 1. Open the "Larger Maps Mod.zip," then copy both the "8x8_km.dat" and "Compatibility_Module" into your plugins folder. You can also copy "Compatibility_Module" into the root directory of your SC4 Mapper and SC4 Terraformer installs for support of this mod. 2. Copy the "Larger Map.dll" into your C:/Program Files/Maxis/SimCity 4/Apps folder (Program Files (x86) if you use a 64-Bit Windows) Also, copy the two songs from the "New Soundtrack Music" folder into C:\Program Files\Maxis\SimCity 4 Deluxe\Radio\Stations\Mayor\Music. 3. Load up the game as normal. How to Use This Mod and Get Larger Maps: 1. On Region View panel, go and create a new region and name it as you please. Note that you'll only see the usual three map sizes. The 8x8 km map does not appear by default as THAT would require modifying the .exe file. 2. Exit game 3. Go to your Documents/SimCity 4/Regions/"Name of your new Region" created in Step 4. 4. Right click on the config file and open with paint. 5. Zoom in. You will see 3 different colors that represent the three map sizes: Red (1x1 Pixels) Small Green (2x2 Pixels) Medium Blue (4x4 Pixels) Large *Yellow (8x8 Pixels in this mod) Very Large* You can expand the region size by clicking right down menu and expanding it down right. 6. To create 8x8 km maps, go to edit colors on Paint and select yellow. Make sure on right pane it shows as: Red: 255 Green: 255 Blue: 0 7. Draw it out where you want with 8x8 pixels and fill it out. (Make sure the other map sizes are whole or they'll glitch). If you want multiple 8x8 km Maps, draw more 8x8 pixel squares. Mix in other colors above for mix of map sizes. Fill the region with yellow if you want all 8x8 km maps, just make sure you have room! (32x32 pixels can fit 4 8x8 km maps). Here's an example of the 8x8 km map properly drawn out: 8. Click save and exit paint. Start-Up the game. Might take several tries to get it to work but it'll work. 9. Once the game starts, you should see your very large city tile on region view. If it's a Blank Space, just click on the space, since it'll load anyways and build away! (It'll show up on region view once you save and exit back out) 10. Enjoy your much larger space!!! If you have any issues, please refer to the troubleshooting section in the README file. This mod is fully compatible with Ploppable Cows and Nuclear Starbucks! Major Bugs/Limitations: - Roads cannot be built past 4x4 km west or southward. UPDATE: Just fixed the issue and updated mod. It's possible now, but will cause clipping. - Game will crash after a certain prop limit, and there may be prop pox on larger cities - Saving takes a very long time (about 5-10 minutes on my PC) BACKUP YOUR GAME BEFORE INSTALLING THIS MOD! Minor Issues/Bugs: - God Mode mountains and valleys may clip with ground and trees after 4x4 km - Very Large cities get very laggy - Water may not be wet enough after 4x4 km - The furthest zoom out isn't far enough due to very large map size - 16x16 km was originally planned as well but would crash the game and cause an infinite loop that corrupted every hard drive in my computer and their backups (Thank goodness I backed everything up online). - 8x8 km maps decrease the chances of that happening - May cause little sims to colonize your living room and build tiny metropolises. This is due to the side effect of the mods - Music may cause minor frustration - Not compatible with my 3D Camera mod - U drive it works but if you pass 4km, your PC may crash - Minor clipping outside 4x4 km - Staring at the loading screens may crash the game - Showing emotion may crash game - Mod is fully compatible with NAM, CAM, SPAM, SAM, SLAM, RAM, JAM, FLAM, DAM, CLAM EXAM, INSTAGRAMA-RAM and SCAM - Taking screenshots might crash the game. - Taking screenshots with print-screen crashes the game and your PC - Taking screenshots with your iPhone crashes the camera, game, PC and may break a tripper and cause power outages. Samsung camera works though. - Disasters work with no issues (in real life of course) - Using "Obliterate City" will obliterate your city, region, and your entire game. (due to corruption) - Game will crash if loading city while sustaining a frown in real life - Music may cause minor frustration - May change your whole game forever - May cause depression - The yellow pixels can also be drawn as 16x16 pixels for a 16x16 km map. DO NOT DO THIS. Stick with 8x8 km. - If you do load the game with a 16x16 km map, your PC may explode. Proceed at your own risk. DISCLAIMER: PCWHIZ24 will not be held liable for any permanent corruption, loss, depression, injuries, fires, blown eardrums, FBI visits, power outages, or miniature living room colonies caused by this mod. Aside from those minor bugs, it's still a great mod considering it's a game from 2003! -

Version 1.0 Finally Released!!!! Scroll down to see change log for Version 1.0 This is the real, legit SimCity 4 3D Camera Mod; It allows you to finally run SimCity 4 in Full 3D.(the other one is a fools joke, this one's real!) I found that in the DAT file editor, after hours there was a way to make the game full 3D, and I was able to write a code for a special engine to actually render this game in 3D! Obviously, this game wasn't designed to run in full 3D, so there are a few limitations. So first, there are a few minor Bugs/Limits, nothing too bad (Most of these are fixed in the first version!) - Sims appear over 9 feet tall; I don't know how to fix that. - Zones tend to clip into the ground sometimes - No 3D Region view - Large maps run extremely slow, even in my system (GTX 980 SLI) around 2-3 fps - There is no sky above (obviously since it's not meant for 3D), and there's no way of adding a skybox. This mod is best for screen shots for SC4 journals, and that's it. - Crashes every 2-3 minutes - Is not playable after around 1000 Sims - May cause permanent map corruption (BACK UP YOUR REGION BEFORE INSTALLING THIS MOD!) - Clouds don't work - Shadows only work in Software mode - U-Drive it mode is unplayable 9/10 times - Night Lights don't work - Back of building models missing - Crashes during start-up about 90% of the time - God mode doesn't work - Saving crashes the game - Exiting to region crashes the game - Exiting game crashes the game - Taking screenshots crashes the game - Taking Print-Screen screenshots crashes the game (It took me hours just to get the screenshot you see above) - Taking a pic of the monitor with your iPhone/camera crashes the camera and game. - NAM/RHW/NWM crashes the game, but does work sometimes - All tree mods crash the game - Some buildings are missing textures and may appear as perfect 3D brown boxes. If you see one, back slowly away and don't make any sudden movements. - Animals in God mode crashes the game - Mayor mode doesn't work (Crashes if you click on anything) - Some LODs look like Nintendo and PS1 graphics in a blender and thrown up - Mountains don't work - Hills and valley have several glitches - Water may not be wet enough - Grids crash the game - Opening an existing city crashes the game - Boats look like they're floating in the air - Airplanes don't work - Particles don't work - Bull dozer crashes the game and doesn't work - May cause minor frustration - Sim-Mode crashes at selection screen, if it does work, it'll crash at the panel - Region-view crashes even in 2D for no reason - The introduction still work - Disasters work but game crashes when clicking the disaster button about 99% of the time - Obliterate City Crashes the game - Reconcile button crashes the game (Even staring at it will crash the game) - Mayor panel and taxes may crash the game - Music doesn't work, turning it on crashes the game - Sound does work but may sound like in a blender, and causes CTD - Street signs labels doesn't work - May do nothing a few times - Uses only one-core of a CPU - If you crash a plane into a building like 9/11 in the 3D U-Drive it (Which doesn't even work) your PC may explode - May cause depression Warning! May cause thousands of tiny sims to colonize and build cities in your living room or bedroom. Keep an eye out for little zones around your house every hour or so. This is a side effect of the hyper-simulation of the game to allow it to run in full 3D. It is currently unknown why this is happening, but I am working on a solution. This mod is a work in progress so I'll try to get past some of those little bugs. Some of these unfortunately are hard-coded into the .exe file, I'll try to make less bugs next time. If you can get past these limitations, you'll find it's a very good mod! No dependencies To install: Unzip the .dat file and install into Plugins. It's that easy! Make sure to remove every other mod you have first and backup your region! To adjust settings, right click on the .dat file, click on open with- choose notepad and there you'll see some settings to change. If you have any problems or questions, please comment below! -

The free camera mod for SimCity 4 is here! Some old lurkers may know that in a press conference some ten years ago or so, a few of Maxis' top devs stated that a free camrea was planned for SC4 originally. However, not that far into the project, the idea was dropped, due to it making the game too CPU heavy. After months of digging around in the deepest and darkest cavities of the game, I am now ready to release it on Simtropolis! All in a simple .dat format, ready to be dropped in your plugins folder. Beware that this mod is quite CPU heavy, even with today's pc standards. Not a problem for powerful rigs, but medium pc's may experience a slight fps drop. This should be possible to fix by disabling shadows, though. If you have a low-end pc, I guess you'll just have to get used to the game lagging. Have a good time, and if you encounter troubles, remember to have a look at the upload date. Edit: I'd like to thank Samerton for this wonderful image. I was going to get one of myself, but my game kept ctd'ing (for other reasons), and after a while I just gave up. Please note that Samerton uses some color correction mods, and the game will look slightly different than in the picture. -

One folder, all the dependencies you need… and even more! If you don’t want to read the background story, feel free to skip this paragraph. In March 2014, I lost my computer and anything I had on it, including the new under development version of Barsoom Project. One year has been past and I still can’t play SimCity 4 because of my stupid laptop. Well, at least this is what I want you to believe. The truth is that not only I’ve been playing the game all that year, but also I’ve been working on something “unthinkable”. Something that has been asked since the day 1 of the game. Something that everybody wanted it, but nobody even dared to give it a try. The day has come. The “impossible” is finally here! Most BATs made for SimCity 4 require a handful of dependencies in order to make it work nice and smooth. Unfortunately, hunting down dependencies can be a serious pain on your neck. Some of them are in sites that you have to register at them in order to get them, others has been forgotten even from their creators and can be found only in obscure sites, and others has been outdated and became unavailable to anybody. And as about the slap in your face when you have to download dozens of dependencies for a single building, just please don’t even get me started. I know this feeling. This is why I’m here, to put an end in this pain by introducing the Hyperpack, the fullest dependencies pack ever made. All this year I’ve been sending messages and begging to all the gods and heroes of SimCity 4 community to give me the permissions I need to make the Hyperpack. It wasn’t easy. It was an arduous process, but somebody had to do it. And that was me. And finally I’ve gotten all the permissions I needed to include ALL of the dependencies ever made in a single folder. Everything you need, from the most important to the most obscure dependencies, is now in a single pack. No more hunting dependencies and spending so much time in downloading and installing them one by one. One single folder, containing 100% of all dependencies files ever uploaded in any exchange. One single pack, with anything you need! There was one problem, though. I hadn’t had a suitable file compressor to reduce the size of the pack. The folder is 56 gigabytes large, way too big for the Simtropolis server. The only solution I had was to upload it in an external site and give you the link you need in order to get it, plus a few instructions to make it work with no problems. The readme file can be opened only by using Microsoft Word or any other similar program, because it contains pictures for better visualization of the installation progress. Yeah, it’s not as easy as it may looks like, but keep in mind that I’ve spent a whole year to make, while you will be spending a couple of hours to download and install it. Fair trade, right? Hyperpack. 1 folder, endless possibilities. I hope you enjoy it. Have a nice day -

This mod will change most of the Maxis and some non-Maxis buildings to have green roofs, it took alot of time to modify the buildings and add a nice rooftop garden to each one of them. Now you can build your own green city in Simcity4, something we have been missing for a long time. Installation: Please read the readme file after your download. The Earth This map encompasses the entire earth and is 100% scale accurate. This is now possible thanks to an underutilized multi-threading and data compression feature of the 2013 release of SCMapper. Thanks to the new upgraded version of mapper, what was formerly a long iterative process of translating greyscale color values from geotiff DEM satellite data into elevation markers within the .sc4m file is now a simple iterpolative process requiring significantly less filespace. (New filesize is X^(1/4) of old filesizes when utilizing the compressor) This means it is now possible to translate the entire body of Digital Elevation Data into a single SC4 region while losing none of the resolution! (provided you have the ram) Since I don't have time to render 50 million city tiles, you'll have to live without the render region shot. I have provided the preview image from Mapper, albeit without the several thousand gridlines so you can actually see it. Requirements: The 2013 version of SC4Mapper, 64-bit OS with at least 4-gigs of ram. Map Size: 40,000km x 20,000km, is scale and terrain accurate. Installation Instructions: 1. Simply open SC4Mapper and choose "create region" 2. Navigate to and select the .sc4m file and config.bmp file you just downloaded. 3. Save your region and play SC4! If your region does not appear quite how you want, it is quite possible your computer Needs Moar Cowbell. Happy Gaming, and remember: the world is a wonderful place, so have a great day. -

4 – to – 13 SimCity 4 to SimCity 2013 Plugin Converter Release 0.42 beta On behalf of the newly formed Modd Squad ‘13 Team, I’m proud to present to you publically for the first time, our latest release, the SimCity 4 to SimCity 2013 Plugin Converter. First a little background. Our team was formed and our efforts commenced after RippleTurbine, a prominent member both here and at SC4inmotion.com, made an interesting discovery late last year. He found that FSH files along with the LOD data contained within a standard SC4Model file could be extrapolated in such a way that allowed for the generation of a low-detail yet fully 3-dimensional version of the model. However, as was expected, the FSH files only aligned to form a coherent image at a specific angle (the isometric viewing angle of SimCity 4) and that at all other possible angles, the model would appear to have become distorted in some way. However, this was not the end of the road as many predicted it would be! It was soon discovered that with the help of a modified version of the BlueFish 3D scanning script (a script created some years ago by the BlueFish R&D group in an attempt to convert static PNG images to 3D geometry on the fly), a mostly accurate representation of the original model could be generated simply through scanning the low-detail model at the point where the FSH files align correctly. Two scanning passes, from the North and South views, were all that was required to completely rebuild the model, including materials, into a highly-detailed three dimensional format. From here, all that was required was to export the 3D data into OJB format (the model format used in SimCity 2013), bake in the textures and import into the game via the use of Ohpee’s geometry import hack. After many months of continuing development, we are now at the point where we are confident that a public release is possible (we were working on this even before the game was out!). Please keep in mind though, this is still beta software! We have yet to iron out all the bugs, and some features (such as the ability to convert night lighting) are still under development. Known issues: - Imported models are only available on the PC on which they have been installed. Loading a city with custom models on a different PC (where they have not been installed) can lead to game instability. - Models greater than 1024m in any direction will cause a bugged model to be generated and the import to fail. We are trying hard to find a way to remove this limitation. - OJB export crashes when running Mozilla Firefox at the same time. We are looking into this, possibly a co-scripting bug… Installation: - Simply run the standalone exe file, there is no need to install. - Once at the main screen, select your SC4Model file, as well as your SimCity 2013 program files directory. - Now press convert. A series of dialogue boxes will automatically appear and you will be able to see the conversion taking place. Once the ‘Importation Successful!’ dialogue box appears, close the program and open SimCity 2013. - Your imported model will be available in game as a landmark. As of yet, we have not implemented the night-light conversion option into the public release (this feature is currently only available in the private beta – see below for more information). This feature is still under development and will appear in future public releases. We are also working on a way to import SimCity 4 lot properties along with models, but this will also take a while to develop. Compatibility: The tool has been tested and is confirmed working with Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8. A Mac OS X port is currently in development which we expect to be available within a few weeks. ***IMPORTANT*** To run this application, please make sure your system has the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 installed and enabled. Most windows users should have this package installed. Legal issues: Respect the rights of the original creators! You may import any SC4 plugin you wish to SimCity 2013 for your sole use at your own PC. You MAY NOT re-upload any form of converted model, however, as these models still remain the sole property of their original creators. Problems? Please visit our official support and development thread for technical assistance, to file a bug report, or for information on applying to join the private development beta. SimCity 4 Ultimate Dependency Package - April 2012 Every dependency... ever - all in one simple, easy to install file. Over the course of the past eight years, additional files required for the correct functioning of many custom creations, also known as dependencies, have become an unavoidable necessity for anyone seeking to extensively modify their game. However, due to the inability of many to read or understand readme files, very few people can actually boast of a plugins folder containing every dependency file required for their needs. Today however, thanks to a revolutionary breakthrough in the field of file compression, we plan to once and for all put this issue to rest. Approximately 10 months ago, RippleTurbine, a prominent member both here at Simtropolis and SC4inmotion.com, discovered a way to drastically reduce the filesizes of the DAT file format - the file format used to store dependency files. In a nutshell, he found that by compressing the Hex value of an exemplar to better suit the games fundamental attributes, code could be shared across various files in incremental stages known as TGI's. It sounds complicated (I know I didn't understand it at first!) but basically what this means is that a DAT file previously weighing in at about 85MB could be reduced to only as little as 265KB via this code sharing technique! The implications of the discovery were huge. Not only would it mean that loading times could be reduced from minutes to seconds, but that dependencies would never again work in the same way. Over these past 10 months, I, along with various others in the community, have been working together to construct a mega-dependency-package to end all other packages. We've systematically purged every major exchange in the community, along with several of the prominent non-English sites, to bring you a in a single download a file containing almost every dependency ever created. Best of all, uncompressed, this file came to an astounding 2.65GB, but by using our compression technique, we have managed to bring the filesize down to just a little over 1MB! Got a lot that's missing a base texture... don't know where on earth to find it? Lost the readme? No problems! Chances are, it's included in this download. You'll never have to go hunting again! Now admittedly, we haven’t got everything. Some creators were reluctant to give us permission to use their files, and others simply could not be contacted. We do estimate however that we have between 96-98% of all dependency files ever uploaded to a major exchange. Perhaps most importantly, the major ones are all there, including all files from the BCS, Network Modd Addons and SimPig teams. Although, despite our efforts, we know that new dependencies will not stop popping up just because of this upload. To remedy this, we plan to update this file once a year on the 1st of April. -

Updated to Version 4.0! Just one more (luxury) lane! Tarkusian Moddage, in association with Kramerica Industries, is proud to bring you Version 4.0 of the Arthur Berkhardt Expressway Project, or ABEP. ABEP will transform your RHW-8S networks into special "wide lane" RHW-4s, perfect for luxurious freeway driving (as seen in the Seinfeld episode "The Pothole")! ABEP converts the RHW-8S network, including its Level 1 (7.5m) and Level 2 (15m) elevated versions, to the RHW-4LL (LL=Luxury Lane). Limited support is included for RHW-10S conversion to RHW-5.5LL. Version 4 adds support for converting the RHW-12S to the RHW-6LL--just one more (luxury) lane! Legacy support is included for RHW 5.0 systems. As the Arthur Berkhardt Expressway is an American highway, Euro textures are excluded for realism purposes. ABEP is now cross-platform! Just drag the zzz_Kramerica_Industries folder out of the .zip, and into your Documents\SimCity 4\Plugins folder. ABEP requires the following items be installed: Network Addon Mod (the latest version) -

April fools! Congratulations to the 1000 who fell for it. The prank is over. Do not download it now - it will blow up your cities. (For anyone who wants a blowup lot, feel free to download.) This is an anti-pollution plant designed to superseed all others. The device removes all the pollution (both air and water) from an area of about 10 tiles wide. It is also self-powered (hence being modded as a power plant) and should appear in the utilities menu. Pollution is sucked down a spiral tube into a black hole, which is contained inside an energy field (no chance of your cities being sucked into it). Clean air and water are returned via hawking radiation. The black hole glows at night due to interations with dark energy and subatomic flow. Blah, blah, technobabble... etc. And here are the stats Plop cost: §2300 Monthly cost: §350 Bulldose cost: §1500 Air pollution removed: 255 over 10 tiles Water pollution removed: 255 over 10 tiles Lot size: 2x2 Water consumed: 0 Flammability 255: (so keep it well covered) Max fire stage: 1 Dependencies: None! Disclaimer: Do not use if you are going for eyecandy/realism, since it won't look very realistic in your cities. -

Something SimCity has always missed out on is weather. It was summer, all year long, year after year. But now in SimCity 4, fans have made seasonal trees, and other props, but snow never falled, untill now! Abandoned buildings and night lights are made by adding a special layer (with grime or lights) on top of the origonal building, and for this I made another layer that shows during the winter months. This required making custom snow for every building, so I only did about 60% of the Maxis buildings, and a handful of my favorite buildings off the STEX, including all of my buildings. The falling snow replaces the fireworks, and go off twice a month in the game, but only during the winter months. The intensity of snowfall is built in; if you have the game at its fastest speed, time will pass fast enough so that the second or third snow animation starts before the first is finished (making heavier snowfall), while the opposite is true for the lowest game speed. The falling snow part is graphics intensive, so if you have a slow computer, don't use it very often. There is a version included that doesn't have falling snow. Please read the readme for full details. April Fools! Click here for discussion of new and current projects by Jasoncw
