  1. Well after the complete palaver that Cities Skylines 2 is shaping up to be, I decided to make a concerted effort to get this running. Redownloading from GoG seemed to do the trick and I'm now getting back in to the swing of things. I'm glad I kept an external hard drive of old assets I'll tell you what. Plus it's kind of cool that NAM is still being updated (picked up the new one today too). Any interesting downloads I missed?

  4. Hi guys, I was fairly addicted to this game about 5 years ago, but got a Windows 10 computer and Cities Skylines. However, this lockdown gave me a hankering to play SimCity 4 again and thus I got it cheap off GOG. Now I have my old cities on an external drive and I'm wondering how I can get them on to my game, I've already tried just CTRL-C, CTRL-V-ing them over like I did with all my old mods (although I'll bet I've missed about 5 NAM updates!) but they didn't appear in the load menu. Please help!
  5. Thanks again @Cyclone Boom, I'll make sure to move my plugins to documents at some point. My Sims are also now driving on the correct side too, the English installation is automatically in Yankee, I just had to change the language to English UK. As for my old regions, I'm actually surprised at how much I remember from the old days!
  6. LHD didn't do a thing. I also tried moving the GOG folder into my user folder and that didn't work either. EDIT: SORTED. Found a separate documents folder (that's probably what you were getting at @Cyclone Boom) and my old regions are back! Nostalgia mode at peak capacity!
  7. The directory tree is essentially the same, the only difference is it's contained in a GOG folder. I'll see if the LHD/RHD does make a difference and report back.
  8. Hi again, this didn't work. Could there be a difference between the CD version and the GOG version? For instance I seem to recall that in the past my Sims drove on the left, whereas they're driving on the right now.
  9. You have a duplicate, so delete one instance of Trailer0. And clear the LocalRICOSettings.xml file in your Cities Skylines common folder. Just delete the file, then load the game up again, it'll create a new instance and this should be fine.

    Don't Crash has been announced as incompatible with the new update, wait for the mod to be fixed and in the meantime just don't use Don't Crash.
  12. After much farting about with RICO to get rid of the Divided by Zero error, I am now getting this error instead. Object reference not set to an instance of an object [System.NullReferenceException] Details: No details No details to even tell me what's messing up! I wouldn't mind, as it was saying this just before Natural Disasters hit, and a quick reload would sort this out, but it's not working now! Every thirty seconds or so this pops up, even on new games! Help!

    UPDATE: I deleted an extra driving range and the error message has slowed down considerably, however, I now find myself unable to plop down and see some important infrastructure (water pumps and weather radar mostly)
  14. I recently downloaded the Baltimore rowhouses to act as a nice looking low density house, but found it only spawns on medium density residential squares. Rather than waste my time making every house that spawns historical and bulldozing any non Baltimore rowhouses that spawn, I would like to know if there's a way to get it to spawn on low density squares? Please note I am a total idiot regarding making mods.

    Yep, that sounds like what I did, just booting up SC4 now to test. EDIT: Nah, they still didn't pop up. Trying a couple of other things. EDIT EDIT: Got it sorted! Thanks guys for being so patient and helpful!

    Either way, it was only the setup. I found the reader itself and am now confused at how this bloody thing works! Damn you SC4Tools, why you no work? EDIT: After a bit of click and hope, I think I may have done it.

    OK, iLives Reader won't even install on my machine as the file it wants to install already has a newer version on here that it won't accept, so forget that. SC4 tools does indeed crash a lot.

      The thing is, I DON'T KNOW if my laptop fits in with the requirements. I've checked the requirements and they're no help.

    Based on your illustration, it looks like you want something like this: RHW-2 Type D1 Folded RHW-4 Type E1 Wye Both are accessible from the 'Ramps' submenu. As I said, it wasn't those. I attempted those and couldn't get the right look.

    No ideas anyone? It was in someone's CJ recently and I can't seem to find it again. A sketch or some sort of illustration would be useful. That said, it's likely just a RHW-2 ramp piece that you saw. There's a bunch of nifty new intersection pieces included in NAM 32 Well using my Paint-fu here's a very simple sketch of it. I tried using the RHW junctions but it wasn't that one. It seems to be a part of the road. As I said it was one normal lane and one D1 folded type junction
