David Edgren (Dedgren) - Life Changing Accident
riiga replied to Craig-Abcvs's topic in Community Goings-on
Truly sad news to hear. I wish him and his family all the best in his (hopeful) recovery and thank him for all he's done for the SC4 community throughout the years. -
Happy Birthday, SC4! I got the game sometime in February of 2003 if I recall correctly, and had a wonderful 10 years with it before my interest slowly started to fade, but I still hang around both ST and SC4D lurking. To 15 more years!

Looking quite good, but those round avatars really need to go IMHO. Regarding the chat, are we finally getting a new chat that doesn't require Flash?

Storebælt* Beautiful shot nevertheless! Anyway, here's my Windows 7 desktop: Been using the same background image for 7 years now.

Texture problem with 3dsMax exported model
riiga posted a topic in Cities: Skylines Modding - Open Discussion
For some reason my diffuse textures show up on every surface of the model I've exported from 3dsMax. I've made sure to follow instructions Bipin posted over at the official forums, but I must be doing something wrong. Any ideas what my be causing it? -
Texture problem with 3dsMax exported model
riiga replied to riiga's topic in Cities: Skylines Modding - Open Discussion
Thanks to Bipin, I solved the problem. By opening the FBX and applying the UVW unwrap again I made the texture show up like it should. -
It's not only you. As you can see, I couldn't connect all ramps in the editor and had to leave them to be done while playing instead.

Simtropolis plays Cities: Skylines!
riiga replied to Haljackey's topic in Cities: Skylines General Discussion
Thankfully it seems you can get rid of it/modify it as you wish as soon as you've bought the tile it's on. The included interchanges remind me a bit too much of the pre-made ones from Cities XL (I think it was at least) which made absolutly no sense. You had a picture of them way back IIRC.- 50 Replies

Will Greece default be the beginning of the end for the Euro Zone
riiga replied to A Nonny Moose's topic in Current Events
Let's hope Greece leaves it, and other conutries follow suit. The failed Euro project could then be replaced by smaller monetary unions that make sense, such as a Nordic one, German-Benelux one, etc. -
Mojave Texture Development: Phase 0b
riiga replied to Ganaram Inukshuk's topic in SC4 Modding - Open Discussion
Indeed, but I disagree that there should be solid lines at curves. I've never really seen that, perhaps it's more of a continental European thing. Also, using too many dashes would make the textures unrealistic like the previous Euro ones. Looking at the official Swedish road marking specifications, dashes have 1:1 ratio at 50 km/h and slower, 3:1 otherwise, and 1:3 where there's limited sight. I like the look of the textures so far, Ganaram, the remind me of SC3K as Maarten said. -
Congrats!

Microsoft Office works well in Wine, at least my 2007 version does. See https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=17336 for info on the 2010 version.

I mostly draw roads, and rarely even draw nowadays. Here are some of my scanned drawings:
