Hellken Thanks a lot Estado Nuevo del Altiplano, Ciudad de Hullaqa Hullaqa (pronounce H-u-lia-kha) is the third largest city in San Theodoros with about 225,000 inhabitants, located to the east of the Gran Chapo desert, in the department of Estado Nuevo del Altiplano. On the San Theodoran Altiplano, the city is 2,500 meters (8,202 feet) above sea level causing locals and visitors to call it The City In The Clouds. It is surrounded by mountains filled with gold, diamonds, copper, iron and silver. The high concentrations of precious metals (the highest in the world) lead to a gold-and-everything-that-is-worth-many-pesos rush after the end of the Gran Chapo war between San Theodoros and its neighboring country, Nuevo Rico in 1937. San Theodoros became then one of the richest countries in the world. Unfortunately, an earthquake destroyed the whole city in 1956, and following the rise to power of dictator General Tapioca in 1959, poor management and corruption prevented the government from making investments, leaving Hullaqa almost abandoned. Following the arrival to the presidential palace of General Alcazar in 1972, the San Theodoran communist junta heavily invested in the modernization of the infrastructures all over the country, which was suddenly stopped because the government wanted to modernize its military forces. The city, which was slowly recovering from the wounds of the past, saw thousands of new immigrants from all over the country and South America. Despite the enormous resources of the region, the city is the poorest in the country. General Alcazar’s government promised a $350 billion investment to rebuild the whole city and turn it into the country’s most modern city. Overview of the city, located in the middle of the mountains. Chaotic traffic in the streets of Hullaqa. 90% of the streets of the city are not paved and are pretty narrow, which makes Hullaqa the worst place in San Theodoros to drive. The Cristo Blanco a 30 meters (98ft) tall art deco statue, built in 1960 after the terrible earthquake in order to protect the city. Hundreds of people come each day to pray or visit this monument.

I'm in the process of adding frontage roads to this interchange. I've got a crude layout with the arrows and the areas in red will be edited. I'm widening the freeway on the bottom left to 6 main lanes and a pair of 2 lane frontage roads

Kellan. 600,000 beautiful residents. Kellan Valley. 1.1 million residents. Kellan continues to inspire with it's smart planning, controlled sprawl, and a city government that stands out from the others. Replies Are At The Bottom Sorry for the lack of updates, its because of pure laziness and no inspiration, sorry for future mediocre updates (including this one). These pics were taken 3 weeks ago, and about 30 are ready for Benjamin's cj taken between 1 and 5 months ago. Um...yeah its a news thingy! Kellan's Lakefront District continues it's "Sky Sprawl" trend. Under the new city government, the Lakefront District can approve buildings faster since each of Kellan's urban villages now have a SPUB (Semi-Parallel Unified Budget), which means that the budget of each urban village is like an independent cities budget, but since it is unified another urban village can borrow money from a larger/bigger profit budget (such as the Lakefront District) with no worries. The Black Tower has surprisingly satisfied building enthusiasts because of the color caused by the reflection of Kellan Lake. Many have given the named this building's color Navy-Black, saying even though it is obviously black it looks blue at the same time. When you go Northbound on the Lakefront Expressway, you enter Kellan's North Central urban village, the second most populated urban village, with 142,872 residents, quickly catching up to the Lakefront District's 224,446 residents. North Central is quickly growing because farms are turning into medium density urban sprawl, which will be shown in the pics below. Lakefront District "borrows" 65% of North Central's profited budget, since North Central has a huge profit because it has 145k residents and only 6k jobs and doesn't have to spend a lot on stuff like office towers or other stuff, which makes it a bedroom community. Most of the residents commute to the Lakefront District like the rest of Kellan and Chandler. Another Walmart, something that the American and Henderson west coast is becoming increasingly addicted to. Previously a Kmart was going to be built here for $19 million, then a Target for $20 million, but Walmart massively outbid the two, buying the land for $31 million and another $9 million for the adjacent Sam's Club, which is operated by Walmart. More suburban sprawl. You can see the tiny bits of farm left, before those too turn into apartments and shops... And even more suburban sprawl, which has been considered urban sprawl by some due to its density and proximity to a major urban center. I'm not sure if this stuff ever ends, its too much for me to handle, especially when its below freezing outside. This was the first to start the trend in sprawlifying the farming urban village of North Central. It can also be seen from satellite pictures of the Kellan Metro as tiny weird squares. In fact, a similar neighborhood by the same architect is being planned in Lake Jillian, attempting to turn the forested urban suburb into a city like the rest of the valley, which will boost Lake Jillian's population for 28,000 to 95,000. Zoom in to see all the details like how Lake Jillian is a forested suburb surrounding a lake, or how the Lakefront District looks more like a downtown than the actual downtown on the Downtown Peninsula. Interchange in a new city tile; this was a challenge because of the need to end the freeway in a tight space (city tile has two mountain borders and two coastal borders, so I don't really have any place to extend it). It is a four-lane avenue past the intersection and the city tile border which leads to another city via a pre-existing bridge. I had a hard time figuring out what to do with all the lanes in that small space, and it has some weaving problems, but I'm pretty satisfied with it and how I built it with relatively little difficulty.

There is a lot of metal and glass and I tried long with reflection, colour and so on. I am not sure if reflection is sometimes little too high and also with the first floor glass at the street side I am not completely happy. Here is the picture:

During the Early Middle Ages, most of the area was part of the Kingdom of Munster, ruled by the Eóganachta dynasty. Prior to this date, the area was ruled by the Dáirine and Corcu Loígde overlords from the early 7th century onwards, perhaps beginning with the notable career of Faílbe Flann mac Áedo Duib. Later rulers from the Eóganachta who would dominate a greater part of Ireland were Cathal mac Finguine and Feidlimid mac Cremthanin. Notable regional kingdoms and lordships of Early Medieval Munster were Iarmuman (West Munster), Osraige (Ossory), Uí Liatháin, Uí Fidgenti, Éile, Múscraige, Ciarraige Luachra, Corcu Duibne, Corcu Baiscinn, and Déisi Muman. By the 9th century the Gaels had been joined by Norse Vikings who founded towns such as Cork, Waterford and Limerick, for the most part incorporated into a maritime empire by the Dynasty of Ivar, who periodically would threaten Munster with conquest in the next century. Around this period Ossory broke away from Munster. The 10th century saw the rise of the Dalcassians (probably descendants of the ancient Mairtine, a sept of the Iverni/Érainn), who had earlier annexed Thomond, north of the Shannon to Munster. Their leaders were the ancestors of the O'Brien dynasty and spawned Brian Bóruma, perhaps the most noted High King of Ireland, and several of whose descendants were also High Kings. By 1118 Munster had fractured into the Kingdom of Thomond under the O'Briens, the Kingdom of Desmond under the MacCarthy dynasty (Eóganachta), and the short-lived Kingdom of Ormond under the O'Kennedys (another Dalcassian sept). The three crowns of the old Munster flag represent these three late kingdoms. This flag can easily be confused with the flag of Dublin which has three castles in a similar pattern on a blue background; In fact now there is another flag. There was Norman influence from the 14th century, due to adventuring of the FitzGerald, de Clare and Butler houses, two of whom carved out earldoms within the Lordship of Ireland, the Earls of Desmond eventually becoming independent potentates, for a time the greatest in Ireland, while the Earls of Ormond remained closer to England. The O'Brien of Thomond and MacCarthy of Desmond surrendered and regranted sovereignty to the Tudors in 1543 and 1565, joining the Kingdom of Ireland. The terrible Desmond Rebellions, led by the FitzGeralds, soon followed. in 1801 was born the kingdom of England and Ireland. In this years Munster had a strong cultural and economic growth , but people do not want to be dependent on another realm , but he wanted to become an independent nation. Despite this feeling of dissatisfaction with the presence of the British in the country, the social situation has remained relatively stable until is arrived the Great Hunger , which is a real famine and hit all the kingdom , and in particular to the west. This famine caused the ' increase in the feeling of rebellion and in the twentieth century came the war that led to the secession of the Irish Free State . After the birth of the Irish Free State , Munster was one of the strongholds of Irish republicans . The Republicans thought that by controlling Munster would could renegotiate the treaty with England for rebuild the state of Ireland . But the leader of the Republicans Lynch because of this tactic has been repeatedly criticized by the same Republicans who thought that this would have lengthened the time of the war , then it would be better to attack the offensive. However, the Anti-Treaty side(who were supported by a large group of rebels from the Irish Republican Army), lacked artillery and armoured cars, both of which the Free State had to borrow from the British. The Free State launched an offensive against the Munster Republic in July 1922. Limerick and Waterford were taken easily, and Cork became the last county independent of the Free State. Michael Collins sent the Free State Army by sea to Union Hall in Co. Cork and to Fenit in Co. Kerry. Cork was retaken on August 10. His opponents then moved into the countryside and continued small-scale guerrilla warfare until April 1923. Munster as throughout Ireland remained neutral in both world wars, but in the second world war, the Irish government authorized the French to use the port of Cork . For the citizens of Munster do not piaque the gesture of the government because they would have preferred to stay completely out of the conflict. This gesture of the government did grow discontent among the citizens to give birth to a party that preserved the rights of Munster at the beginning but at the end of World War II it became a party that promoted the independence of the county. At first, the party was not very successful but at the end of the 2nd World War, when many companies fled to Dublin causing many consequences to the economy of Munster , many citizens began to demand independence because the Irish government did nothing to stop this continuous increase in unemployment and poverty. Despite the number of supporters of the indipendence of Munster, the Government of the Republic of Ireland did not want to listen to the demands of the citizens of Munster, but in 1953 there was a mobilization of the cities that lasted almost 3 months and also almost 78 % of the population did not pay the taxes as a form of protest. So in May 1954, the Irish prime minister met with key supporters of independence of Munster, and after 11 summits, the irish government ceased, and proposed a referendum only for the people of Munster for the 15 to 16 February 1956 . Of course, the referendum ended with 61% of the population that voted for independence and in April 1956, the Prime Minister of Ireland declared Munster an independent republic. After independence was born a provisional government, the government was led by Frank Suleman that to jump-start the economy financed many economic interventions especially investment in culture and the construction of new infrastructure . In this way he made down the national economy and unemployment went down in five years from 25.7% to 18.5%, also the collapse unemployment caused a recovery in consumption. The Economy In recent years, the national government has invested a lot of money in the alternative energy giving plenty of space for photovoltaic and wind energy (especially in the south of the country). The country has no major mineral resources, but it is important the agriculture and the industry of the services that take up 76% of the workers and lately there is also growth the technology industry..The unemployment rate is currently 8.8%.In 2008, when Ireland became a country with high economic risk due to the economic crisis, thanks to the accommodative policies of the government,Munster is managed to limit the economic damage using the same system of government Linapsus when Munster received the indipendence. In fact, in time ranging from 2008 to 2011 (the year when the recession is over in Munster) were born 3 new highways in front of the 2 existing, and has increased by 10% funding to health and education. In addition, the government has also adopted measures that have benefited the investments in the country, causing a sharp increase of the Irish economic capitals.

OK - so the last thing I am doing is running a few quick test renders in SketchUp with some monochrome materials before exporting the model for work in 3ds. The intent is to see if I have any overlapping geometry before exporting as I can only imagine the hurdle that would cause me since I would be very inefficient in MAX to make any needed changes. I will not export with any materials except the default material when finished. I did mess around in 3ds last night for about 4 hours and found the material application process will be a challenge for me, but alas - should be worth it in the end. I am curious what time it takes to model something like this in 3ds from those that are proficient? Would like to know how it stacks up against the time it takes in SketchUp. I would also like to know how much detail is too much (although I may argue you can never have enough in SketchUp to be honest - every little detail counts). A quick test render in 3ds yields that we pretty much lose alot of detail that is modeled in to the object. Something I can remember for next time once I learn the material mapping process in 3ds. quick question? what would be a normal poly count for a model? I am over 200K and have no idea where this may stack up against a 3ds model of the same building. Just looking for any help out there on this as it may affect how I need to model future BATS. Also - how are people doing window shades.....are they actually modeling in a shade and applying a material OR is there some other way to create the effect in 3ds?

So my power has been out for the majority of this week, due to the storms that hit the Philadelphia area. A little late on this update, but an update nonetheless. Hope you like it! 4|1: First, the CBD of Jordan has changed a bit since the last update. Here's a small mosaic capturing the entire downtown. 4|2: I really like this little block of small W2W buildings. 4|3: An area of the downtown with the most change. 4|4: A forest north of downtown. 4|5: Just north of downtown are the power plant powering all of Jordan and the main ground freight distribution center. 4|6: Across the rail are the neighborhoods of northwest Jordan. 4|7: A better view of the highway exits. 4|8: The entire manufacturing park. This is the first time I've tried something like this. 4|9: A rail line cuts through servicing local commuters and freight. 4|10: Neighborhoods molded around the highway. 4|11: The wealthier of the neighborhoods of northwest Jordan. 4|12: Another view of the same neighborhood above. 4|13: A few shops at the top of the hill. 4|14: A town center on the other side of the interchange in 4|12. 4|15: North of the previously shown neighborhood are developments cutting down the hill to the river. 4|16: A partial overview. 4|17: To finish off this update, a short mosaic. Well, due to my creator's curse, and my short attention span, I can no longer stay in the Jordan - Bayford metro: I am bored of developing cities on the coast at the moment. This means next update will be a completely new area (still in the same region), in the middle of the large island of Andreica. Thanks again for stopping by and checking out my CJ! Hope you enjoyed and remember to drop a comment, it means a lot to me!

Hello, everyone! I'm new to here, so if there's anything wrong, please tell me about that. This is my first CJ at Simtropolis, and it's about the region I'm currently working on. Not all blocks will be displayed here, since some of them are ill-structured or badly designed. As I come from a non-English speaking country, I may slip now and then in my grammar. Expect some weird expressions... Any ideas and comments are welcomed(in fact, I need it). Today I'm going to show you the town Novaland. It is a town surrounded by mountain. A park in the neighbourhood. A tiny church in the centre of the town. A corner of the shopping mall located in the western part of Novaland. Some neighbourhood shoots, which you may found a little repetitive. Shown in the bottom right of the following picture is a community college. And here are a few random shoots around the town. Finally, it is the overview of the town. Full Resolution (4149 x 2538)

Ln X - Thanks! I'm glad you like the idea! UndercoverNinja12 - I think it's a pretty good idea. It can be very beneficial and realistic if done right. Thank you! Schriefer - I love hearing that! Thanks! Markus J - Thanks for the comment! As for the interchange, I have updated it and made it more compact. --February 9, 2014-- I've been working on a new city tile, but I completed the interchange shown in Update #2. I've been having a lot of fun working with 'fractional angle' roads and RHW pieces. You can see how I'm trying to beat the grid here. ...and here's the region view as of today. There's still a ton of work left to do, but the one thing I like most about this CJ is that I'm having a lot of fun working with it. There's a lot more custom content that I am using as well as the fun I'm having working with 'fractional angles'.

The guests arrive at the Chateau by limousine... ...from Solante and Corbeville, Audestine and Vanile, Remillard and Tremonde, Brumen and Ceres, Charnay and Casaubon and Guiry. Inside the Chateau... ...Alain Deschains is pouring red wine for everyone. "An apéritif before dinner," toasts Alain. "Oh, I know, red wine isn't usually served before dinner, but I couldn't resist how wonderful it looks swirling in the glass. Almost as thick as blood, no?" He laughs, but all the while his eyes dart from guest to guest, seeing who is amused, who is disturbed. A couple of shaky hands, people trying to calm their nerves. Bon! "I hope to have a very spirited discussion this evening," he continues. "Particularly with you, Alexis." Poor Alexis almost drops her glass. And everyone else relaxes just the tiniest bit, knowing that they won't be the first target of the evening. "Yes, some interesting construction over in Tremonde that we need to chat about." The blood drains from Alexis' face. Damn Alain and his spies. Next: Soup!

Earlier I showed this project I was working on: I thought it was kind of annoying that the EL was really cutting through the development, thus I decided to change the EL as well. Eventually I ended with this: There are still things to do better, like the change between highrise and lowrise (that should be much smoother) but I've zoned everything around this as high density zones, thus I hope it would be just a matter of time. Otherwise I'll have to plop some other buildings as well.

There you will be redirected to the add feature page where you will need a link direct to your post and a featured picture which must be no more than 700 wide by 350 tall. As for the featured picture, my advice would be to select a picture you really like from your entry and crop it to 701 by 351; cropping in such a way that it not only reveals the best bit of the picture but also hints at the contents of the entry. Finally to get post links, look at the top right of the box which every reply is contained in. Click on the number (the '#' symbol) and it will give you the link for that particular reply. And that covers everything you need to know about featuring a CJ entry.

That's funny I just made one of those not to long ago, a little different but same concept.

Here's a new one from a city tile right next to my capital CBD: A parclo in an industrial area. I tried to keep the ramps as compact as possible (thanks to FAR!) but that one set of ramps turned out to be really long... Either way, I love it!

I used Microsoft Expressions, it's free for up to 10 minutes and great quality. I'm poor, maybe one day will get some donations or famous (lol) but for now that works with Windows Movie Maker (2.6)

New and/or different doesn't mean better, besides, it's all a matter of personal taste and generally speaking, the opinions on this are quite separated. I bought SC2013 the week it came out, and about a month later I offered it as a gift to my neighbor's son, who is 12 yo. I didn't like the way it played, looked monotome and the colours which were totally irrealistic, plus the buildings look too "toyee". So I came back to SC4, well, actually I never left. One other thing that made me get rid of that "unpleasable game" was the fact with obliging to play online and which did not always worked out fine. Refreshing? Yes, somehow, but it didn't last. When I look out of my kitchen window, it also is refreshing, everytime I do, and this since the last 45 years. ...........SC4 will not be beaten right away, I guess. Fred View from my kitchen window.............(for real)

duchal: That blends so well with the nature! The two lakes, especially. Here's another creation. It's based on this interchange in Taipei City. The freeway here comprises of local and express lanes, and the latter is usually higher. Here, the local lanes joins with an elevated expressway and carries traffic from/to the core of the city. This expressway is one of the most important roads for commuters (who take buses, or ride their vehicles). The Grand Hotel (圓山大飯店) is located at the bend of the river. So was the 2010 Taipei Flower Expo held here. And there's even an airport here, despite that it's a bit controversial (too small and blocking the development of nearby districts.) I tried to build this as compact as possible, while still using smooth curves and FARs. Its irregular shape brings me so much challenge. When that was done, the road system was even harder to deal with. That river is a headache. Finally with some DBE magic I could really recreate the complex bridges at the river bend. Conclusion: NAM 32 rocks!

Even with the big Trixie push going on, can't forget this month's MOTM winners. Stop by and give them a big 'well-done' between submitting those nominations.

I have *"C:\Program Files (x86)\Maxis\SimCity 4\Apps\SimCity 4.exe" -intro:off -w -CPUcount:1* in the shortcut for SC4, the -w to keep it in windowed mode so you don't end up needing to minimize it when you take pictures, and the -CPUcount:1 seems to keep it from randomly crashing for no noticeable reason. The quotes are necessary I think, the *'s are just to show what goes in the target box. (The part in quotes should already be there, though modified depending on where SC4 is installed on your computer) When something goes missing, I tend to say (or think to myself) "a leech ate it." If it's a black hole leech, they'll eat anything... sometimes they eat so much they explode.

Looks interesting, though i would prefer a game where I could just build something without needing to follow some sort of plan (basically, a sandbox mode) unless I felt like it at the time. Can't wait for more!

Specifically: You don't need to see it on a per building level, as long as you know the building type. This chart shows which business types residential Sims of various wealth and educational levels are looking for, where education is divided into four grades, with one as the lowest. The two columns with Agriculture add up to more than 100% because agriculture may take away from the other job types if it is present. Both charts are from the Prima Guide.

UPDATE 8: Sanpol is the capital of Simsinnati. In its district are key government institutions. Government headquarters, courthouse, .... .... Also there is the main campus of the University of Simsinnati. Sanpol has port of goods, ferry and Simsinnati International Airport. The population is about 97,000 inhabitants, has the country's highest incomes and the best educational level. In Sanpol is a small business center where major banks are headquartered in the country (one of the main economic engines Simsinnati considering that it is a tax haven). All this can be seen in the following images, greetings and hopefully entertain!

Well, unfortunately, this trick might not work if you have any buildings/3d models in your shots, as they will be distorted in the process. This is only viable with flat structures, such as networks. So if this disappoints you, please pardon me. Anyway, this is how I created the image in GIMP: Step 1. Do shearing twice (Tool->Transformation->Shear) in both directions until the gridlines (or the roads along the gridlines) are either horizontal or vertical (where the terrain is flat). Note that this step lowers image quality greatly. Recommend taking zoom 4 shots to compensate the loss of quality. But this way, it also consumes much more CPU and memory. Step 2. Use perspective tool (Tool->Transformation->Perspective) to create a perspective. Move the top two handles toward each other, and confirm action. The result depends on how far the handles are moved. Make sure the two handles are in a horizontal line, or it will not look good.

Industry isn't a sustainable way to achieve large populations in SC4: - It requires a lot of space (for the amount of jobs it creates). There are mods like the industry quadrupler but these don't scale-up the other stats (power, pollution etc) proportionately, so they are not realistic. - The taxes they pay are not high enough. - They pollute a lot. Finally you will need those expensive treatment plants. Haven't checked if importing water from a "clean" city solves the problem, - They consume a lot of power, costing you money (or creating even more pollution, if you rely on coal). - The jobs they offer are 100% R$ (unless you are using a special mod from CAM, but even so it's still 95%). - And most important, demand will plummet as soon as your EQ starts rising. - I-M isn't much better, it just pollutes less, creates more R$$ jobs, and demand will simply drop later. That is, the primary employers for a successful city can only be CO$$ and CO$$$. CS is very useful too, they pay high taxes, and even CS$ is better tban i-D in any regard. Only demand for CS is created AFTER a population rise (which can be caused by I and CO), and can easily be exhausted ("satisfied"). I would say, try to exhaust any C demand (even CS$) before zoning for more industrial. So I (I'm talking mostly about I-D) is only useful during the early stages of your city's/region's development, to kick-start your city, ie support some decent population, which you will then have to educate and create demand for CO$$ and CO$$$. But once you have it, don't dezone it, unless you absolutely need the space. Take also a look at this thread (and my links at the bottom). You may want to consider other forms of development too. I have started a new region recently, with no industry at all, and posed some additional restrictions, finding normal gameplay too easy. Here is the setting: - Hard difficulty level. - No start-up funds (made a mod for this). - No loans, except for an initial $1000 loan which has to be paid-back in 3 years (made another mod for these). One would say it's impossible to start a city under these conditions, but you actually can. Here is how: - Use the $1000 cash to build a wind powerplant ($500), a 1x3 low-density R zone and a 1x3 low-density C zone, and of course a short road or street connecting them. - Set funding of the PP to a very low level, ie some $10 or so. - Run the city for 1-2 months. The zones will develop and then you can enact the gambling ordinance ($100/mo). This will be your main source of income for some time. It more than covers the loan payments and the powerplant cost. - Demand for R and C is now very low (for C it may even be negative), so development won't go far, even if you zone a lot. You need more jobs. - Run you city for some months (a year or so) until you can afford building a school. I'm using a modded version of DEDWD's mixed elementary/high rural school, as the ingame one has a very small coverage radius, if you set bus funding to 0. Set school funding to the smallest possible value (it costs you pennies). - Look what's happening now: The school offers some civic jobs, which increase R demand, so you can zone some more R zones (and expect them to develop); and EQ will be increasing as time passes, not dropping. So you can zone as much R as needed to satisfy all R demand. - As the school offers some R$$ jobs too, R$$ development is possible as well (you will need to place some parks too). - If C (CS$ or CS$$) demand has risen (as a result of more population), zone some more C. - That is, at this phase try to satisfy all R and C demand, as you go. - If all demand is satisfied, run your city until you collect enough money ($1100) to build a hospital (not clinic). The ingame hospital is OK, the custom ones are almost always BADLY modded, usually too cheap to run (cheaty). I use some custom ones too, which I have modded so that costs and other stats are proportional to the capacity. Set ambulance funding to zero - the radius is still large enough, it should be covering the ® area you are developing. Also set the hospital funding as low as possible. - Now, the hospital employs a lot of sims, so demand for R should again be high (many of the jobs are R$$). This should start another R/C development cycle. Again, zone R & C as needed. - Repeat the above procedure and build a library, a college and a museum. - The hospital and the college offer R$$$ jobs too, so you can have some R$$$ development as well. $$$ development (of any kind) needs water though (everything $$$ or medium-and-above-above density require water, ie without water you can only get $ and $$ low-density). Put a water tower and pipes, and pick the area for R$$$ development (put some parks too). You will get some nice villas, each paying $14 or $20 per month. - At this point your city should be generating enough cash, to develop it the way you like. EQ will be on the rise, creating demand for CO$$ and CO$$$ too. These may not be so easy to get though, as they need high land value (put some plazas) and high traffic (customers), which for such a small town you can't have. I usually build this initial commercial area around a central avenue (with all R zones directed there), so as to get as much traffic as possible. Quite challenging, but I like it!
