  2. Kellydale2003's BAT Mine

    Wonderful models you're working on!
  3. JP Schriefer's BATs

Since I started to do BATs, 2018 is definitely my least active year, but I'm still around. I sent a message to Ocean Quigley to see if I can get any reference to that painting on the back of the Triangle Terrace to continue the texturing work on it. Today I took the opportunity to show another building - in fact 3 - that was in the refrigerator. I textured it quickly to get a better look, so don't worry about textures, they will still be improved. I'm still with a big lack of time, my hope is the end of the year. I hope you like it 45 Broadway Atrium
  4. São Paulo

Wow that's awesome! It's great to see SP made by you!
  5. SC4 Brazil - The Garoudwolf collection

Awesome! I miss the old days on SimCity Brasil. @Dgmc2013 in case you want other buildings try to contact @Klyte45, I believe he has all of the SCB content.
  6. Tribute to A Nonny Moose

I do not know a good way to say it then I will be very direct. After all this time we need to get used to not see our dear @A Nonny Moose here again. He passed away on September 28. http://www.haskettfh.com/winterton-john-hensall/ That last time he came here I think we all feel relieved, but I found it strange he appeared to say nothing and didn't return again. It could be himself making a last visit or a family member arranging something. Today I decided to look for something again and came across the bad news. What remains from now to us is to have good memories of John and his incredible help on Simtropolis. No doubt he is an icon. I'll never forget your help several times both in the forum and private messages, just like your daily posts entertaining and informing us. Rest in Peace, buddy.
  7. I remembered this very interesting case and decided to see how things are going there. These pictures are just a few weeks after Odainsaker post, I didn't find recent news about it. Very good job!
  9. Pacific Northwest

Wonderful scenarios! This time my favorite one was the Mount Rainier, I think it's so beautiful. Its wallpapers are the best https://bit.ly/2I9rb5n
  10. JP Schriefer's BATs

@Tyberius06 Hello Well I'm always being asked about unfinished works and I always reply almost the same: I really want to finish everything I started, but it's not so easy, especially with big models like Maracanã, Copacabana Palace or, more recently, the Singer Building, because they require a lot of research. Besides my lack of time that sometimes happens, as in this year, sometimes I just don't feel motivated to continue some work at that time, which is why I have so many projects in progress. From almost a year ago I don't start anything new - besides a building to the SC3K project - to try and finish the ones I've already started. I must say it's frustrating to me to be part of that project and still have not released anything, so those buildings are definitely on my plans.

I forgot @Odainsaker is always discovering buildings on the Maxis References thread, next time you're not allowed to participate Just kidding, you did great! I think this building wasn't an easy one to find. Very interesting you already knew about it for such a long time, btw that link with the other buildings will be very useful, so thank you A brief history of that block I also posted on SC4Devotion: These buildings were demolished in the late sixties to make way for Zuccotti Park. In order for the 1 Liberty Plaza to be built (on the block where the Singer Building and the City Investing Building were located), a green area must also be created so as not to violate the zoning law. Then the builder of Liberty Plaza also bought all the buildings of the two adjacent blocks to make the park - it is worth remembering that before the construction of the park that block was divided in two by Temple Street, which no longer exists. The buildings from left to right are: North American Trust Company Building, Liberty National Bank and finally the Washington Life Building. An interesting curiosity is that there was an owner on the ground floor of the North American Trust Co. Building who refused to leave the place with his restaurant, so everything was demolished on the block but the first floor of the building. That episode delayed for years the complete construction of the park. I miss BATting, I'll make an effort to do something about that SC3K building.

At the end of the weekend, here we go Some previews from the mysterious buildings and a render from ground level. Some images are huge, to make sure it's in the original size just click on them.
  13. A 26-story building located in downtown São Paulo collapsed after being consumed by a fire. The building was abandoned some years ago and was invaded and occupied by several families with no financial conditions, some of them immigrants who came from other countries. Fortunatelly firefighters did a good job and took almost everyone out of the building before it collapsed. http://abcnews.go.com/International/massive-high-rise-fire-building-collapse-brazil-dead/story?id=54846500 https://g1.globo.com/sp/sao-paulo/playlist/videos-predio-desaba-durante-incendio-em-sao-paulo.ghtml#video-6702630-id A very sad moment was when this guy was almost being rescued when the building collapsed. People said he managed to get out of the building earlier, but he went back to try to save people on the top floors:
  14. JP Schriefer's BATs

Hi, ESP15 Since January I'm not able to work so much on my projects. The only thing I did this year was finish that Portland building and start the Triangle Terrace to the SC3K Project. So I don't know when I'll be back on track here. Maybe tomorrow, maybe in 2 months, I really don't know. That last mysterious building I posted here has 2 other buildings almost finished on the same block which I didn't show. Now I'm thinking about bring them here this weekend in a new render to see if someone will be able to guess them right while I can't update my works
  15. New York City - Landmarks & Mosaics

Yaaay! New York in your hands again and you didn't disappoint. Wonderful pictures Interesting that today earlier I was watching a WTC documentary made some months before 9/11. It was nice to see your recreation of the nowadays site, thanks for that.
  16. U.S. Skylines

This is sooooo cool! They all look great. I'd love it if you made this a series
  17. San Francisco

Wonderful pictures! San Francisco is one of the cities I wish to visit someday.
  18. SimCity 3000 BAT project

I suggest you to use Google Earth, it has a tool to measure distances in 2D and 3D. It's not 100% accurate, but it's very useful sometimes.
  19. Can't find it?... Ask here!

I like Moonlight's El Rail. You are able to install it through the NAM.
  20. AndisArt's BAT cookery

Wow that's wonderful! Truly professional job
  21. AndisArt's BAT cookery

    You're doing an outstanding work!
  22. Can't find it?... Ask here!

A bit off-topic here, but since we were talking about 270 Park Avenue. Funny thing this website using a preview from @PBGV103 to illustrate the article. Maybe there's someone here related with it?
  23. Can't find it?... Ask here!

I hope it won't happen, but I've bad feelings about it If this building be demolished it will be a historic event. To this day, the Singer Building still carries the "title" of the highest building to be demolished.
  24. Spoorlaan 386, Tilburg

    It's also working fine here.
  25. SimCity 3000 BAT project

Hi, folks As you probably know, unfortunately Matt pulled out of this project and then I took the Triangle Terrace. I'm bringing some previews here to hear your opinion about making the Triangle Terrace a W2W building. BTW I thought this building had a bit of modernism on it's facades but it hasn't as we can see on the video Glenni posted. It's just an art-deco just like it's reference. As you can see below it wasn't W2W on SC3K and it has that empty lot in the back. It has perfect dimensions for making a 3x3 W2W there if I bring the building to the end of the lot instead of doing nothing there with a simple fence. What do you guys think? Also if anyone knows if that image on the wall exists in RL I would be happy to know - I don't think so, but since Maxis is always making references, it's possible
