  1. UDI Jet Fighters Super Pack

Nothing entertains me like reading posts from the past. It's like some Apple fans predicting the iPod will be a flop in a thread from 2001...
  2. WCIF populated regions?

Sounds like fun. I just keep getting annoyed by the lack of a fitting RRW curve. 9x9 is too large for most cities. And for the hundreds of puzzle pieces I don't need there still are quite a few I'd like that just don't exist.
  3. WCIF populated regions?

Yeah, I've checked it out a while ago. Looks okay, but like any Maxis game it's just not complete without mods. The wobbly roads and lack of NAM just make me cringe. Still better than cities without Rush Hour though - the game used to be really limited, or at least in my memory.
  4. WCIF populated regions?

Seems reasonable, but SC4 does have an option to import city files, right? I'd for one love to see just single cities to play around with. The Sims has houses, Sims, towns/Worlds, and occasionally savegames, for example. A NAM demo city would be fun, I feel - I'm not great at the game and would love to see what NAM can really do. And I usually spend way too much time in UDI, so maybe that's just it.
  5. One more Expansion Pack...if only.

Terring made some solid points, albeit a bit far-fetched. Optimizing the engine (if not further developing it) wouldn't be possible on a large scale (rendering, the grid system...) but things like the UI or visual FX could be improved. Better UDI...very possible. One mistake Maxis has made many a time is leaving out content or rushing games. We completely lost SimMars and SimsVille due to restructuring - not even mentioning the 3D engine SC3K was supposed to run on. SC4 was to have more buildings, and, very likely a weather simulation. The The Sims franchise has seen this quite a few times as well - cars in the TS2 base game, clothes shopping in TS3, and the damned toddlers/pools thing TS4 is being butchered for. Resources? The Anno series does it (SimCity 2013 as well), and although I don't think it really belongs in a SimCity game, it could work. SC4 bears an almost striking resemblance to Chris Sawyer's Locomotion. More tile packs. Very possible, and an easy choice. Yet it hasn't happened yet. Euro 2040, London 1940, Mediterranean, Miami 1985...add in a new set of automata and an Expansion Pack is born. YAY!
  6. EURO Express MOD

    Looking damn fine!
  7. WCIF populated regions?

Hi, Since I'm kinda crap at the game (relatively. My cities look pretty but are often falling apart) I was wondering if I could download some cities from some place. I think it's quite weird terrains are up for download here while cities are not. I use NAM and some BATs. Also, does anyone know if a 5x5 railway curved piece exists? The normal Maxis ones are, as most of us know, quite ugly, but the 9x9 NAM one is way too big for some situations. Thanks! ~ Pi

You can save the file. Can't be bothered...
  9. Looking for Ploppable R$$$

    I'm bookmarking that!
  10. Looking for Ploppable R$$$

Hey you're right, Walkup tower, stage 8 houston R$$$ Houston 1990? Looks more like London 2040...
  11. Looking for Ploppable R$$$

I'm pretty sure it's Maxis content...have been wrong before, though. Can't find this mod in my Plugins folder - how and when?!
  12. Looking for Ploppable R$$$

My little minions - they did good. Better than those Ploppable paupers anyway. So why are these newbies not getting the love of labour? A bunch of lazy asses isn't going to solve anything. You mean the one I just blew up for an ugly block of flats?
  13. Looking for Ploppable R$$$

Is pretty cool, yeah. Looks absolutely amazing at night.

Yes. Tons of CS$ and CS$ demand. But my city doesn't like poor people, so I'll just "tax 'em to Timbuktu". I'm going off topic for a while, is that white building even ploppable, don't they just grow (if I am correct, they are default maxis content)? If so, what's the name of the building? Also what is the name of that blue glass building at the right with hexagonal rooftops? What white building? There are lots of European lots in the picture. The glass building...you mean this one? Emerald Plaza, San Diego.

Then I might have to change my question from "Ploppable Res?" to "Making my City grow again?"
