Hi guys, me again :)

I'm looking for the circled buildings. (the circle on the left should actually be around the top-left-most building)

Thanks again as always!

Hi, is there a mod that turns the rail dirt on always? Thanks.

I don't think so.i only know a plugin which replaces dirt with grass but you're not looking for that, right?

No, but thank you. I'm trying to place several tracks next to eachother and I want the inside tracks to match the outside ones.

Can't be done simply. You'd need to extract all the rail textures, then add the dirt to them and bake it into every texture.

Much easier (and nicer IMHO) to simply make the rails transparent, solving the problem with the dirt underlay's once and for all.

Head over to my Lot and Mod Shack to keep abreast of my latest developments.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

New to the NAM? Check out my tutorials on YouTube. Latest upload: How to: RHW - MHO Roundabout Interchanges. (Nov 25).

p.s. - I'm MGB over on SC4D and a member of the NAM team.

yeah, but I'm using the new Chicago station in a sunken environment, running outwards along a river similar to Melbourne. The Melbourne station has a 'fake' piece of track you can use to solve the dirt conflict, however you can't run roads over it. I think for the size of the city i'm making, I need more than two lines of track coming in for Amtrak. The other possibility, since this will be a concrete jungle, would be to remove my pacific northwest cascade terrain with something brown or grey, but I can't find a brown or grey terrain. I can always cover up the terrain with grass or dirt tiles and place mmps over it once I get out to the suburbs.

Thanks for all your help guys.

Hi all,

A while ago I was cruising around a saw a couple (2-3?) buildings made for FAR transitions to ortho and I think Diagonal.

Ive been searching for weeks and I just can't seem to find them again. They were of a classical design and look not unlike some of the old bureaucratic buildings in London.

Any other 'inner city' FAR buildings would be welcome too! I have the LBT apartments that fit FAR already however.

Thanks for your time peeps.

You are most surely looking for the Real Railway, a part of the Network Addon Mod (download link), which contains a myriad of improvements on transportation. The Real Railway is not only a facelift mod, but also increases enormously the flexibility of the game's railways. This absurdly marvelous video by Eggman121 shows a glimpse of all what is possible to do.

@Dreadnought you got a quick answer or I would have let you know

Good Job helping @Golhbul

@DavidDHetzel  I posted soem links for walls and stairs on the riverside/seaside building concept thread as a starting point. The building on the right I was looking for because I saw someone else request but have not found it.  On the left one I think is a  Mattb but might be from sc4d.

I think I saw the one on the left on one of these sites:

http://homepage2.nifty.com/kamurai/simcity/log7.htm

you can find some of the NOB stuff here: http://hide-inoki.com/

and http://hide-inoki.com/bbs/phpbb2/viewforum.php?f=7&topicdays=0&start=125

I thought about this, and am still thinking about it because though I've thought about this, I still have more thinking to do as to stop thinking about it would mean not to think.

@DavidDHetzel:

The building near the bottom left with parking behind: Simgoober's Addison Library
The one right across the street from it is part of Madhatter's Midrise Office Pack, Volume 4

@Xander Dax: That looks like JRJ Street Side Mod sidewalks to me.

I'm looking for those small coffee tables you see on the left of the picture. I can't remember the name of the set, but I think it contains the word "plaza"

Edit: I found it! It's the "White plaza set by Alex"

Yo, guys --

TVOn7P1.jpg

I'm having a problem locating the white octagonal tower building.

I followed the links above to the Japanese sites -- but I'm afraid I suffer from the usual problem.  I don't read Japanese.

I have been unable to locate the building (Arrrfrgggh!!) -- or even find download buttons in some cases.

Any ideas??

Quite often on Japanese SC4 sites, the links are abandoned.

However after clicking on the picture you'll sometimes find a home button (in English), that'll redirect you to the DL.

It seems that many Japanese "sites" are "showcases" that creators use to generate traffic back to the creator's personal site.

Google or Bing etc. translators assist me in these endeavors.

Best,

H.

I don't personally use it much, but the in-built translator in Chrome is a god-send for such sites. It will keep most of the page in English as you navigate around it, usually that's sufficient.

Otherwise I prefer to use Bing's translation for web sites over google's, I have the feeling they deliberately made it worse than Chrome, to incentivise you to install their browser :noway:.

Unfortunately -- I had a very bad experience with Chrome.  I didn't install it -- so to this day I'm not sure how it got there.  It may have been maleware disguised as Chrome -- but it made it all but impossible to load a webpage and it was stuffing my temporary internet file folder with 25k files.  It took me 2 weeks and a lot of tweeking to remove it without going to a professional.

I'll look into Bing.
