Ah! I just noticed, I have the same terminals installed, but they look empty, maybe I should always read the description :/

Question, what is the number of combinations with the terminals and airports you can make with these? THEY MIGHT BE ENDLESS!

@MillionSeven, that is most definitely the correct mod. After removing it, did you rebuild your affected roads? Rebuilding any affected roads will refresh the T21s on each tile, which with the mod removed, will no longer show Porkie's trees. Just clicking with the road tool every few tiles should do the trick.

Have you tried another maxis blocker file? BSC No Maxis is highly modular, so you can choose to only use the Stop_R$$$. I also doubt that it will conflict with the other BSC file you mention.

Personally I don't mind the mansions as much anymore after using @kingofsimcity facelift mod

Actually, I was wanting to block ALL mansions, and even after installing those mods I was getting mansions built and ruining my R$$ neighborhoods. So I dug through my plugins folder starting with the mod that started it all, and i found a new R$$$ mansion file that for some reason, was included in the BSC Farm rewards SG Vol 01 mod, but I didn't notice because it came with an installer. It had the name in the file name ("...CharlotteManor..."), and so I loaded up sc4 and sure enough each and every single of the new mansions was "Charlotte Manor".

So apparently I wasn't realizing that the mansion blocker mod I had wasn't truly universal. Oops lol.

This is a tough one since I do not have a photo of the building I'm looking to download again.  I had downloaded the BAT awhile ago.  But then I stopped playing SC4 and then bought a couple of new computers without transferring all my game files.  I'm sure we have all been there.

Well, the building I'm referring to was a Asian BAT I believe.  It looked like a multi-story department store that covered maybe 6 tiles wide and maybe 5 tiles deep.  The building design was a very elegant art-deco style, which I always thought was not the norm for many of the Asian BATS that I was used to seeing.  Also, the building was two-toned color from top to bottom--the top portion being a light tan color.

Does this ring anyone's bell and if so how can I download it?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I just discovered the department store that I was asking about was developed by APTX.  But I still do not know the name of the building and where/how to download it.

Again, thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

********************************************************************

After further research, I got the name of the APTX BAT that I was asking about above:  Daimaru Shinsaibashi Department Store.  Now where do I find the download?

@Yarahi I am particularly interested in this CJ, why? Is that this contains such a nice and realistic developed city! https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=14333.480 Here it is, and if you want you can tell me some of the mods/bats on it!:P

Seems most of the content in that CJ/MD is from LEX or STEX, so then i would just give you links to the front page of those? not really effective

If you want specific, feel free to ask, but listing everything of those sites in one comment is redundant

No such mod would be. You need to block each individual lot, you can't tell the game not to build R$$$ mansions. Therefore usually such mods only extend to the base content, under the assumption you wouldn't install custom content you didn't want to see in-game.

Head over to my Lot and Mod Shack to keep abreast of my latest developments.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

Separately as to re lot them, or as individual lots? They are always published on big seaport packs, so the best option is to download one. FrankU modular container port 2 is, IIRC, one of the simplest packs.

I've searched, but can't find CSX MegaProps Vol 08 as referenced in the Prop & Texture Photo thread:

I think you might need to whip up some cash for the LEX-DVD - as most of the lots based on that pack is only released on the DVD. Same goes for the following Vol 09

Yo, guys --

This is a bit off topic -- but --

I've searched all over for tree filler lots and haven't had much luck.  There are some very nice 1x1 pine tree fillers -- but not much else.

I made my own fillers some time ago, and they worked very well -- but the base texture color of the lot simply does not blend well with the Meadowshire Terrain Controller.  That requires me to carefully hide the bases of the lots with MMP trees -- not always the best solution.

Then -- there is also the problem with elevation changes.  Every time you go up about 50 meters, the color of the ground changes.  Which would require you to make yet another set of filler lots for the new color.

I know there is a way to make the bases of the filler lots transparent -- but I simply can't remember which items have to be deleted from the exemplar files to remove the base textures.

Can anyone tell me which ones to delete and EXACTLY where to find them ??

Also -- will that cause the lots to have the "water bug effect" ??

In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed.  But they produced Michael Angelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, and The Renaissance.

In Switzerland, they had brotherly love and five hundred years of peace.  And what did that produce?

The cuckoo clock !

Another way you can do it is with PIMhttps://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=2260

This is an alternative plugin manager and Lot editor, which allows you to save lots without base textures.

Follow the install instructions; open it up, be sure to select the folder at startup where the lots you want to edit are stored; find the lots you want to edit; press 'T' and then delete the textures, close the LE window and click save.

There are a little more steps to it that that - but that's the gist. Feel free to shoot me a PM if you're stuck.

If you don't want to use PIM, then I'm afraid I can't help.

I know @Dreadnought can't use PIM-X.

In the LotConfigurations Exemplar, there are a number of objects listed under LotConfigPropertyLotObject. These are all the really long lines. All the ones which start with 0x00000002 are textures (Base or Overlay). If you highlight them all and remove them, not forgetting to right click and select "Reindex LotConfig" thereafter, it will delete all the textures from the lot. Provided you keep it completely free of all textures you won't see the water bug. Make sure too to finish your lotting first, once thins is done, if you need to use them in the LE, you'll have to replace the textures to save it.

@Yarahi  Thank you, I didn't know about the LEX-DVD   As always keep up the great work, you are a fantastic help to this community and should be more appreciated.

@Mewds45    That looks like a region created by someone for their own use they may not have uploaded the map. There are many many files out there you need some patience and some time to look through everything on the STEX and the LEX. Best bet is to just go through page by page and you will find many things you will like. Don't forget when downloading a map there is a process to install. You can find directions and help in the tutorials.

@Dreadnought I'm trying to understand why you would want to use a lot for trees. Is it that you are trying to fill in a space in between two other tiles? I would think just using tree MMPs would work best to keep the terrain the same and just adding trees.  If I want to fill a tile that is between other tiles to activate the sidewalk/grass on a road tile I typically use a blank filler lot from rsc204 and then plop mmps on them.  The Paeng Parks/trails have filler lots with trees but the terrain is like the park grass.

I thought about this, and am still thinking about it because though I've thought about this, I still have more thinking to do as to stop thinking about it would mean not to think.

Yo --

I second the Yarahi motion !!  :thumb:

I made tree filler lots some time ago because I wanted to have a specific mix of tree colors.

The old Maxis trees had NO dark colors.  The MMP's I have installed have VERY few LIGHT colors of trees and are predominantly DARK.  I love the look, for example, of the Girafe Ash trees -- but they are dark and too many would really look bad on the map.  The fillers I made had a lot of light color trees, both the old Maxis, and some other prop trees.

The differences in color patterns also helps to highlight the various heights of the trees.
