A few improvements made using the textures of @hugues arouxon my Ville Corsaire tile.

The streets don't really coincide with the entrances to the walled city. To solve this problem, I've come up with 3 solutions:
1) Align the walls with the streets
2) Match streets to walls
3) Do nothing and leave as is
The last solution suits me perfectly for the moment.

The accesories haven't been defined yet, so there's bound to be some reworking.

Love the details. The combination of sidewalk, lot textures and props works really well!

What is good when you have nothing to say is that you can always pretend to listen. Anyway it does not prevent to think!

Spent the last 2 hours clicking pixels trying to make an animated flag.
I'm getting a bit impatient 🫠

I'm glad somebody is keeping up the old arts of SimCity 4 animations. I have many ideas but not the skills or patience to make them real.

The canal portion will be a prop with a transition piece for SG's canals

Is it only for the original SG canal or could you do it for the CAL SG Remaster too? If the canal transition piece will be completely separate from the main model, actually relots could be done for other canal options too in the future. Anyhow it looks very promising, I already love it! *:thumb:

I didn't want to post my "two cents" because I didn't want to come across as sardonic in any way, because I think your work is exceptional. You are always incredibly tasteful with your relotting. I love these shots, because I get a sense of place. It's not quite photogenic, in the sense that the shots seem edited to a visual standard, like @korver 's work, (who of course was a maestro,) it's more interesting than that, to me, because the screenshots tell a "unique" story. IDK where this place is, but it seems real.  The shots come to life because there's a real sense of, I'm repeating myself, "place." It all looks "lived in." I can truly believe this place exists and is not just a fevour dream.

But... I have one critic... 9 of the same vehicles all parked in a row! I can believe 7, even 8, but 9? Now I'm wondering if they all are Men in Black! I'm not asking for a pink Cadillac on the way to a shotgun wedding, but these spooks in their company cars are giving me the heebie jeebies!

To be honest, I'm kinda making a joke, because your painstaking detailed creation is so good, I can't think of anything to add. And it's "quarter to three..." Forgive me!

Thank you so much.

You are indeed right. I am strongly inspired by a town in my native region, Saint Malo.

As for the result, the credit must be given to the many people who share know-how, whatever the field (knowledge, Mod, BAT, Material pack, Lot, City journals, players, etc.). Precious and invaluable help when creating my cities and most certainly my best source of inspiration.

Just to clarify I was being a bit jokey last night about the feds and stuff lol. I will have to spend some time looking up Saint Malo a little, I don't know it.

When I looked at your pictures from this city, I instantly thought of St Malo. I have been there many times on childhood holidays, either just arriving by Brittany Ferries or lingering for a while seeing the old town, and lovely Dinan not far away.

I'm not doing so badly after all. That makes me feel better. Thank you very much.

Dinan is one of my future projects. Before that, I still have a lot to learn.

As for St Malo, I placed it too far south. And with the remaining space to the north of this large tile, I'm thinking of building the port of St Helier with its ferry terminal, since St Malo will have its own.
