I'm also not fond of the brick,

I actually really like that colour of bricks. Lovely arched windows too on the first floor.

Okay, since I didn't have anything important to do today, I worked on this a little more. It's about 60% done. I like the shape of the building, but I'm not too sure about the windows. I'll probably make a few  different ones and see which I like better. I'm also not fond of the brick, so I'll peruse the ACME Brick site and see if I can find something I like more. Here's a pic. Cheers!

Love the Estes truckyard. I live by a big one of those and the trucks are always blocking up the intersections. This will be a welcome addition to my developable marshlands!

I'm very surprised a thread like this hasn't been made yet. I know SC4D has had one for the longest time... but nothing here at ST.

Anyways the guidelines are very simple. Post pics of stuff you're working on. Other memebers can provide pointers and whatnot if you're asking for help/opinions. Otherwise you're just posting content that is in the works/not quite finished.

For example, this is what I was working on today. Click images for full size.

Still a lot of tinkering to do... Maybe I'll insert some rail curves as well.

Anyways you get the premise. Now show us what you're working on!

alright i gotta admit. now that some of the biggest whoppers of bugs and annoyances in the game have been marvelously resolved. one still remains: The highway light poles taller than the mid-rise buildings! Someone desperately needs to resize those puppies!

You're quoting my first post here from 2012. Have you not seen any of my pics from the last 10 years or so? I've switched to these for all builds since and replaced many of the older builds with them as they get retrofitted/upgraded.

    Example:

I even have a thread for this and other things I often use for highway builds-

For amusement I tried to see if my Grand Canyon could be bridged in SimCity, attempting a rough bridge near the Toroweap Overlook, but I forgot that my bare-bones test plugins folder didn't have NAM's bridge or slope controllers, and so SimCity decided on an alternative infrastructure strategy:

    yVB4Q2c.jpeg

To cross the canyon, daring drivers begin by entering a giant ramp whose thrilling descent cuts a sheer slot through the cliff wall.  Gaining downwards acceleration, vehicles will have enough speed when entering a tunnel entrance at the base of the opposing cliff wall to then be propelled upwards through the sharply rising tunnel and ejected at the top of the cliff out though a tunnel exit emptying into another ravine.

LMAO worth the price of admission!

Have you thought about building a giant escalator with steps large enough to fit a car? That's the only way you're going to get up there

...or down in one piece lol

Head over to my Lot and Mod Shack to keep abreast of my latest developments.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

New to the NAM? Check out my tutorials on YouTube. Latest upload: How to: RHW - MHO Roundabout Interchanges. (Nov 25).

p.s. - I'm MGB over on SC4D and a member of the NAM team.

Been a while i did post something, in the meantime working on the city still

Thanks to some nice information from Tyberius, MGB and Us3er on discord i could change the grass colors, its more realistic now

Its giving me a small Amsterdam South-East vibes because the EL-Rail/Subway drives between appartments, i did upload those photo's also for inspiration :)

Visual the monorail would have compaired more closely thanEL Rail with the seperated viaducts ! This resembles Miami Metrorail very closely, but this is just a very short seventies build section of the system. Still a local connection of the subway to Schiphol Airport still to be build, a project wich may remain on the shelf as city and government resources are never that great !

Been a while since I've uploaded a new map due to spending time on a personal SC4 project that (fortunately) is near completion. Rest assured, though, the 'ol mapping machine is still fully functional albeit collected a bit of dust, and the next "season" of maps is coming soon!  Here's a preview:
