Beautiful model!! Would you mind doing some different colours? Most of those by here are in off-white tones.

March 11 is one of the most sorrowful days in Japan.
Ten years ago, on this day, a massive earthquake of magnitude 9 occurred, causing tremendous damage to Japan.
The earthquake, the tsunami, and the nuclear accident.
It was one of the worst disasters since World War II.
The damage to Iwate, Miyagi and Fukushima prefectures was particularly severe, with more than 20,000 people killed.

Among them, Fukushima Prefecture is still suffering from the effects of the nuclear accident, and 40,000 people have yet to return home.
Fukushima Prefecture is also suffering from harmful rumors caused by radiation.

However, even in the midst of such hardships, the reconstruction has progressed little by little.
In order to recover from the devastation, there was great support not only from within Japan but also from overseas.
On behalf of the victims, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude.

I wanted to recreate such Fukushima in SimCity 4.

"FUKUSHIMA AGAIN".

In the year that marks the 10th anniversary of the Great East Japan Earthquake, I am starting a new project.

I did something in SC4 for the memory of Fukushima too.  I renovated a port area in a region under construction.

I bulldozed a nuclear plant and replaced it with solar.  Out with the old, in with the future.

These are looking great and the improved textures are going a long, long way. If you're looking for more inspiration, I'll throw some your way in a form of a few suburban neighborhoods — most of these you can pan around and look at the area in general:

(1) (2) (3) (4) (5) (6) (7) (8)

I'd be happy to point you to additional stuff too, like low/medium-density apartments, if you ever want to do that.

they are so complicate :D

Completed the model, here are a few color variations I'm considering.

These are excellent! The color variations really fit the type of building and it's great that you mirrored them. Can't wait to see your current projects ingame!

Welcome to North American suburban architecture.

I chose these because they're a mix of styles and regions and they represent also some types of regional architecture that SC4 is very underweight on.

@monkeywater

Your attempt is great.
We are currently working to promote renewable energy in Fukushima.
In 2020, Fukushima Prefecture will have the largest amount of solar power generation in Japan. Most of them are in the coastal areas affected by the nuclear accident.
We are also attracting one of the world's largest hydrogen production bases, a robotics test site, and the next generation of cutting-edge research facilities and educational institutions.
Fukushima is now at a turning point from that tragedy to the next future.

@reg

The thing I admire about the Japanese is the calm during an earthquake

The reporters who break the news while the studio is shaking and with shindo degrees of intensity.

Even people on the street, in the car (I saw a video of how literally the car jumped)

In Italy, at the 5-6 richter grade, buildings begin to collapse. At a 4th degree richter people call the fire brigade to find out if there has been an earthquake or people run away in the street screaming.

We have a lot to learn from the Japanese :-)

Google:

Is your process applicable to the row houses I requested in this post?
