@SIM-ple Jack

Strangely enough, I developed an aversion to the sound of "choppers" in one of those "far off countries" in southeast Asia.

They fly over my house fairly often (I'm in a military flight path between bases.) and to this day -- it gives me reason to pause.

Meanwhile, out in the bay -- The USS Nevada has come across from the dockyard to pay a "port call".  The battleship anchored alongside the breakwater has caused a stir and brought out the curious tourist boats.  She was accompanied by three steam tugs, moored astern, that eased her into the tight anchorage and prevented her grounding in the shallows.

The large motor cruiser laying off the battleship's port quarter put out from the Hotel Kaiserhoff soon after the warship dropped anchor.  His majesty the Kaiser was seen to enthusiastically vault up the lowered gangway and is, doubtless, touring the ship from stem to stern.  He does so enjoy his expensive toys!  The motor cruiser (Boatey McBoatface) courtesy of @mattb325.)

Nevada is seen in her 1926 configuration after a complete modernization.  The forward superstructure and bridge has been enlarged with permanent command, signaling, and fire director facilities.  Note that the old lattice cage masts have been removed and replaced with tripod masts and fighting tops with enclosed range finders.  (The battleship work of art by @Barroco Hispano.  MANY THANKS!!!)

Wondering what those breakwaters are?

I've been working on this since the quarantine started: A latin american historic downtown inspired by Mexico City. I finally felt like there was enough variety of BATs available to attempt it without ending up with something extremely repetitive.

As an admirer of historic town quarters and buildings with style myself, I really commend you for this. Not repetitive, good arrangement, and you've also done a good job with the diagonals. Keep up the good work!

@SIM-ple Jack  How did you do the submarine scene? :ooh:*:???:

Lions and choppers and tanks, oh my!

How did I do the subs? With envy, of course. I figured if your marvelous toys wont come to the game(and my greedy little hands), then I must go to the toys. Photoshop of course. I used to have a full movie suite full of great effects, that made the job so much cleaner and easier. Then Win7 came along and effed that all up. Now, I have to do animations the old fashioned way- Disney style(literally the way Walt had to do it). That one was fairly easy, but I've done some really complex vids, 5 to 10 minutes. That's a long time in film. Would love to use your WW2 stuff for full battle scenes, if you're okay with that. If not, than it'll have to be for my personal amusement only. :(

As to your technical question, copy your posted image, isolate the sub from the background, make a pond in game and drain the water, take before and after pics, plop the sub into the water-less background in PS, add a few distortion effects, put the water in and color it, and make your GIF. The rocket is merely a quick cloud flash of white and orange paint. Done.

BTW, I'm still working on taming that moon project of yours. A much less severe blur than you had, but you'd still have to fine tune the craters in Terraformer.

@SIM-ple Jack

Yo, guy --

Those are the "Seawall - Breakwater" lots (one of several series) by "Uki" -- a Japanese gentleman.

Before you ask -- I have no idea where I got them.  I vaguely remember one of the members providing me with a link -- and then stumbling around in the Japanese language site until I miraculously managed to download them

PERHAPS SOMEONE HERE CAN PROVIDE A LINK TO THE "Uki" Seawalls for us......

ANYONE HAVE ANY THOUGHTS ??
