Simtropolis, meet Marrickville. Spent a few hours working on this one, which has actually come up rather nicely. Railways are all level-crossing free on dedicated rights of way, and I've elevatde the expressway to minimise disruption and land wastage.

Personally -- I use the "Brigantine" water MOD to change the "Maxis water" appearance -- and hardly ever use anything that cannot be adapted to it or blended into it.

Tbh, I'm not impressed. Your last ships looked better than this turquoise thingy.

But seriously, it will be tricky to arrange the lighting such that the surface ripples are accentuated and make the surface look like organic water, but without giving away the edges of the individual texture tiles or making the pattern repetition too obvious. This most recent attempt should be a considerable improvement over the predecessor, I should think. Keeping my fingers crossed for ya!

@korver: I know your pictures tend to be in a league of their own, but that volcano shot is just ridiculous. Show it to anyone not familiar with SC4, and 90%+ will say it's an aerial photograph and never suspect it to be from a computer game, let alone a game that old. Amazing!

Also decided to compare @Simmer2's tetrapods with uki-sim's. The former are a bit bigger, but match better terrains that have a darker coloring.

Suncor Photovoltaics Inc. is eyeing the Kingdom for solar photovoltaic investments!  They just presented the Office of Utilities this map, along with an open-for-business announcement:

Daily equivalents for the electricity output are:

Suncor has finished construction of its new solar panel factory at the Rhennus Industrial Park and is in conversations with Shocking Jimmy's to build battery banks, inverters and step-up power substations!
