People in the game SC4 cause me irritation and I do not leave trying to completely remove their endless movement. I vote against models with peoples. But the author has a 100% right to his vision of the problem.

Here is something I have been working on for three years now. Kaijo Metropolis now at 9.1 million sims. I now have three major large city tiles with more than a population of 1 million sims each. I will be working on the airport in the upper left and the surrounding area then I will start working outward the city.

@pclark06 Funny enough, that is a brand I was considering tackling for my Modular Strip Mall series. I just couldn't find enough locations in strip malls to justify doing it.

Earthworks 101 folks- lots of plopping of road tiles to flatten out areas. I'm also brushing up on my slope levelling techniques by dragging roads and letting the slope mod (for transport networks) create a regular sloping surface made up of flat horizontal strips.

BEFORE:

The roads perpendicular to the highway are the regular slopes. The gaps between the roads are irregular slopes which can be filled in with tree fillers.

 

AFTER:

My next challenge is to try and create a fixed slope for the highway...

In theory, flatting the bottom and using terrain raiser pieces in a symmetrical fashion should create a slope of constant gradient...

Dresden - Neustadt IV !

Today Dresden - Neustadt and surrroundings again on the menu ! As described earlier when the tile is ready to go, let´s startup ! This means all civics are there energy, water and sanitation is adressed. Growable agriculture, business and last industrie can be added !

Dresden, Luzern is made up on a large tile giving all oppurtunities to aswell show city as the country side of Saksen !

Dresden City industries had to wait befor all agriculture was developed, so as most is more Saksischer Schweiz this went well ! Left top Bautzen and below left Bischofswerda !

Dresden - Neustadt !

Dresden HBF area busines growing nicely !

Freiburg train in direction of the HBF !

Neustadt !

W2W blocks destroyed replaced by post War housing of the 50ths !

Bischofswerda & Bautzen !

Two medium countryside stadter wich are some distance away, below Bischofswerda wich is more ancient in street layout !

Bautzen aswell, origin of a fortress may be the origin of this town ! Industry may aswell helped in development !

Dresden Klotschen Airport lay north-west of the as it´s zurich partner Zurich Kloten, surprising coincidence but nothing related   As for now space is reserved for any request from the towns citizens or business community, a rail switch for a airport link is provided !

It's been a while since I've posted an update on something, but I finally had the chance to finish my second round of IRM logistic fillers (AngryMozart edition). Coming tomorrow.

Each of the industrial types have 2 unique lots, and 2 common lots (trailers, chassis). A couple examples of the unique lots include flatbeds carrying piping and concrete material for I-M and dump trucks for I-D.

Bonus scene tax.

A bit of CBD action! I've finished off the middle of Cindersville's northern city centre.

 

The FA buildings add a special extra touch to the fun that is roundabout gridbusting!

 

Kingofsimcity's Community and Regional Parks (https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/32075-kings-community-regional-park-pack-vol-1/ and https://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/32125-kings-community-regional-park-pack-vol-2/) are incredible fillers! I'm still figuring out how to get the best from them!

 

 

 

Tomorrow I'll post an update on that sloping highway- it's taken an interesting turn put it that way!

Sigh* If I can ever figure out how to get 3ds to work again I might be able to dust off and finish some projects, gmax just won't cut it these days.
