general question ... but is it just me or are 4 tile stations too short? I really like that long japanese station that is 8 tiles long. And its a really unique idea @mattb325, sorta like Penn Station in New York (where MSG and a couple other buildings sit atop).

I think the same, but it would depend on the city you are simulating.

To give an example, here in Santiago and Valparaíso the Alstom Xtrapolis commuter trains have 24 metres long cars and operate in formations of 2 and 4 cars, what is to say, with lengths of ~50 and ~100 metres. A 4-tile long station platform would suffice for a 2 car formation, but they are only used on weekends; a 6-tile platform would be more adequate, even if it's length would be on limits for that longer formation.

On the other hand, longer platforms become increasingly hard to accommodate in city centres, so there is needed to strike a balance between both needs. Maybe a better option would be to include platform lots to extend them in open air when the main building becomes insufficient (as it is normally done in most rail stations).

@Simmer2

Yo, guy --

Did you ever release that fuel depot (trucks, fuel points, etc) scenario you were working on?

I got the energy and wind turbine facilities.

In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed.  But they produced Michael Angelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, and The Renaissance.

In Switzerland, they had brotherly love and five hundred years of peace.  And what did that produce?

The cuckoo clock !

(Harry Lime to Holly Martins...Graham Greene's THE THIRD MAN...1949)

I plan adapt the concept to include elevated networks to switch into rail/subway etc. But I will bat a new station for this.

Elevated Network Terminus please! :) We have a lack of those. I only found for shinkasen or El-rail terminuses on japanese sites and all have baked in textures, so you can't really use them for other networks., but not for Elevatid heavy Rail, or RRW. Anyway the above showed pictures quite convincing, beautiful towers and the tunel part can be used for OWR, Roads, GLR or RHW, as I see, so it's quite multifunctional :) I love the idea.

Thanks for making these nice stuffs!

@Dreadnought Like @Tyberius06 said. I got many projects on the go. Remember, besides the lots, I'm creating all the props and textures too. Some props collections are already done and I just have to have the time to put it all together. Some of those projects will be modular in design therefore it takes longer to achieve.

New forests north of Vancouver.  I love tree controllers!!!

This just keeps getting better, you almost flew right over me!   From the overview its looking very much like the Greater Vancouver Regional District.   They must have had SimCity 4 in mind when they built this town.
