And I'm glad that we have such a humble and enthusiastic friend and creator in our community, always willing to push the limits and inspire a new generation of creators :D

And before saying "I'm just a student", let me tell you something that I've discovered in my life. That a teacher can be a student too, and a student can be a teacher too ;)

So, I just reacted the very notable milestone of... *:party:

Ten Thousand Reputation

Rep 10000.png

When I first joined ST way back almost 3,000 days ago (2,967 to be precise), never in my wildest imagination would I have thought that 10k rep would be what I'd ever reach. It truly is so humbling to know that people appreciate my involvement in the community. Even though reputation is only a number, it is a numerical tally of how others appreciate what each of us post in our diversely wonderful contributions. In that respect, it does hold deeper meaning than just a one with four zeros afterwards on face value.

It has helped me tremendously in having my good friend Cori alongside me for the past 3 years, and to work on projects together while running one of the bestest sites the internet has to offer. That is so incredibly gratifying, and long may it continue. And before I ramble any further, I'll end this mini speech now. *;)

So thanks everyone for the support! *:thumb:

Believe me Dear CB, with my experience (392 days*:blush:), Most of the time we are not supporting you, it's you are supporting us.*:D and we just react to every kind and helpful and thorough post you made, Most of the time that number "6,126" means much more than "10,000" to us, Most of the time, i personally (maybe not Personal) want to react you with "Like & Thanks & Yes & other unsupported reactions".:}

Actually and Frankly, i thought half of my reputation should be counted as yours (half for Cori), since i couldn't react to thousands of PMs you write to me, sometimes even myself also think that i'm a bit childish as an adult by making some CoriBoom™ signs into my works, but i also know why i'm doing this and will be willing to continue with this in the future. *:golly:

For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

Thank you CB, warm Cyclone & soft Breeze.:}

Yours Sincerely,

-- Raymond

BTW, not that anybody gives a rusty ****, but today's my 5th year here(surprise, I know nobody thought I'd last). I celebrated by finally getting ILives Reader to do something and save it. Of course, I had to learn it on my own.

Turn back now while you still can or there will be sleepless nights ahead as you unleash the power of modding to your own preferences. :boggle:

I get precious little sleep as it is, so I might as well be doing something. Basically, I need this for only 1 reason, to make residentials with believable populations. A single story 2 bedroom house should not have 40 people living in it.

Happy Birthday Simtropoli

*:party:  Congratulations ,*:bunny: :bunny:  your 18 years Old :party:

Simtropolis was started on December 18th, 2002 by @Dirktator the sites webmaster. AlthoughSimtropolis was first called SimCity-4.net, today marks the 18th year of the Simtropolis name.

 "Simtropolis.com was actually registered Dec 2, 2002... So our "official" birthday was about 2 weeks ago.

Prior to that, we were known as "SimCity-4.net", and then I created the name "Simtropolis" and in December, registered the domain." quote source @Dirktator from the 10th anniversary tread.

So lets all celebrate together, whoever and wherever you are around the globe. We are all here as one community. One community evolving around the fun and desire to build and learn, to sharing and teaching others. Exploring the boundaries of what is posable and were reality can be bent and changed with a click of a mouse. With enough understanding of the mechanics of the game, we can building tools to make these ideas and tasks achievable and make the imposable, possible. This takes the whole community to make something this great and wonderful to happen. As I read and hear about how other great sites have despaired over the years, it makes me proud that their are caring people who are devoted to keeping a passion of theirs alive so others may also benefit. I never imagined how a recent internet search for a fix to constant crashes to desktop(CTD) 6 months ago, could lead to a community of believers, thinkers, artists, tinkerers, very passionate and devoted followers. I am truly amazed and grateful.

Thank you all for everything, big or small, recognized or not, for what you have done to help make Simtropolis a friendly and influential place for everyone to thrive together. This is why I decided to make and share this art work as a birthday gift for everyone to enjoy on this wonderful day. I must thank @CorinaMarie and @Cyclone Boom for their time in helping and assisting me in creating the final picture. It never would of turned out so beautiful if it wasn't for them two. Thank you both, very much.

I used landmarks from around the world, surrounding the Maxis and NAM's networks to create the main message. I wanted to show how it take the whole globe to be one community. I hope you can recognize one of the LM's from around you. I used the original LM's from Maxis that were not office towers. Sorry if I missed your country, limited space and supply.

The highly detailed large Simtropolis globe is from @Raymond7cn (DL includes small one)The two beautiful NAM roundabout logos in the O's are from @11241036. The two green roundabout Sim crystal's (that spin :) ) are from HIDE and Seek's public show forum (their are nine more pages their, check them all out, lots of nice DL's). The white Simtropolis signs are from @Ceafus 88. The plopable sand "down south" is from @Simmer2. The Antarctic Terrain Mod used is from @KavaericPlopable snow "up north" is from Rayden at SC4D LEX. And too many tree mods to start, sorry but, thank you for your contributions.

But most importantly, I must give a BIG THANK YOU to @Dirktator for keeping this special place alive and prospering for 18 years.

 Cheers to Dirktator*:thumb:

Feel free to download it. :thumb: (for window users just right click on picture and select "save as" and either save the name as is or pick another name)

So much effort have been done by you in a reply in a topic. That's insane. For the most part, a feature is usually a topic, file, not a reply. But, you changed that. Thank you and people that participated in the image. I also thank @korver, @Barroco Hispano, @Pegasus (now inactive), @Tarkus, @rsc204 (or mgb204 for some reason in Devotion), @Terring, @Avanya for supporting this community alive!

MGB wasn't available here, but it is my preferred handle online. If I had any inkling that I would have been so prominent a member here, I might have taken more time to choose a name on ST, but when I registered I just wanted to get some downloads without ads. Now all these years later, it seems like changing it might not be the best move.

What are you gonna do?

Head over to my Lot and Mod Shack to keep abreast of my latest developments.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

New to the NAM? Check out my tutorials on YouTube. Latest upload: How to: RHW - MHO Roundabout Interchanges. (Nov 25).

p.s. - I'm MGB over on SC4D and a member of the NAM team.
