Well, it appears I've just passed my 7th anniversary of joining Simtropolis.

Also coincidently this so happens to be my 400th post this year too.

Wow. I'll keep this short and sweet and save The Grand Big Speech for another occasion. But to simply say I've enjoyed these 7 years here would be an understatement. In fact it would be a massive understatement. For each of those 2,556 days it's been the absolute highest honour to be part of this community. Both as a member, a moderator, and now as an admin. The same remains. It's been an esteemed memorable journey, one I'm still very much on, and a journey which I'm looking forward to what the future holds too.

This is a little different than usual milestones for post counts and reputation totals...

Today I feel it's only fitting to acclaim an important anniversary in Simtropolis history.

In 2017 two years ago, Cori was invited by our benevolent Dirktator to join the Admin ranks. By doing after only almost 18 months (542 days), she became the quickest member to administrator in the history of the site. A record which will never be broken.

Time sure does fly. Over these past couple of years we've collectively worked with each other, ably assisted by the moderation team to help shape Simtropolis become an even friendlier and more welcoming city-building community. Given the change of pace following the SC13 style eras, gone are the days of strict "police force" style moderation. Instead here are the days of acceptance and greater tolerance to language and forum etiquette, including but not limited to topic bumping and back-to-back posting.

There's been countless projects Cori and I have worked on both behind the scenes and in front as the scene. From fixing and improving the site, general maintenance tasks like restructuring, organising and backups, then maintaining a continued presence on the forums on a daily basis with contributing to SC4 and site related topics.

Still today and throughout this time, I've been incredibly blessed how Cori is also such a wonderful companion to me. Her intuitional kind hearted fun-loving support and technical knowhow has extended beyond admin duties too, even before receiving the red badge from Dirk. We chat in our secret enclave on a regular basis, and safe to say my own role in assisting ST would be completely untenable without Cori being here alongside me.

You are the vital member of the CoriBoom™ Team as we continue working together. Thank you so much for everything during your Admin tenure thus far, and here's to the future too for the continued furtherance of the community.

By the way...

At this point we've got exciting news ahead with regards to Simtropolis in the weeks to come. Details are yet to be finalised on timescales, but there's a big project we're currently working on bringing to fruition very soon. Stay tuned for more info shortly!

So two milestones here first city in my region to hit 200k and my region population crossed 1.7mil. This city is probably the most dense city in my region.

This is a different sort of milestone, but one I feel is very worth mentioning...

There have been many topics in Simtropolis history. To be precise, the official count is 68,181 total (from running a database query).

One very notable one is the CFI thread:  Can't find it?... Ask here!

While this isn't the 1st iteration since the original was abandoned when there was an infamous site glitch known as the "page flip bug" long ago, the whole concept has remained the same in the new thread which was started over a decade ago now. Through this time 1,653 knowledgeable people from across the SC4 community have posted, many of those repeatedly to help others in searching to locate the whereabouts of content items. This is a true testament to community spirit, in the ways how we can all help each other when in need. The ability for those with an encyclopedic knowledge of the library which are BATs, lots, and dependencies.

In quite the achievement...

CFI has now reached the lofty milestone of 15,000 posts and also 500 pages overall!
