  1. Show us What you're Working On

Interchange reconfig to widen the mainline. The interchange to the east provides the missing access, and the weave lane length is extended by moving the ramps to the other side of the overpass. Now 3 full lanes each way.
  2. Show us Your Interchanges!

A few more before and afters with the highway widening upgrade. This also includes a new partial Y interchange that simply wasn't possible when I first built the highway. A curved elevated to ground transition diagonal had yet to exist, not to mention the diagonal connection pieces. Before After - Before After - Before After Just one more lane bro
  3. Show us What you're Working On

New partial y interchange. The first time I have used this RHW component where you go from elevated to ground in a curve. Junction was not possible before.
  4. Show us Your Interchanges!

It may only be a partial interchange, but it was a challenge to widen
  5. Show us your Oddities!

    Long school bus
  6. Some of the most reputable members on this site have the lowest reputation. Not saying those with high counts are karma whores, but most of the community legends came and went before the rep system was in place, or was in it's early stages. Ex- the mid to late 2000s were a glorious time on simtrop, with 2008 being the high mark of activity if I am not mistaken. So many amazing city journals, mods, game breakthroughs, you name it... and yet most of these members have pretty lackluster rep counts. Just goes to show you numbers don't tell the full story here.
  7. NAM 47 and NAM Lite 3 Now Available

While I am not trying to gatekeep, is waiting a minute or so for a city to load that much of a big deal? Sure it takes more time with the full NAM than without, but I for one would take that trade-off every single time. It just makes the game that much better for me. Back in 2003 when this game came out it could take me 15 mins or more to load some bigger cities, and that was without any mods installed at all. While it may still take a little bit to load my super dense cities with gigs of plugins, I don't really mind the wait. Besides there are many things you can do in the meantime in the age of smart phones, or perhaps you have dual screens to browse the internet or something in your other monitor while the city loads.
  8. Always great to see you round. Hope all is well! :)

  9. I've been waiting for a good excuse to get a new PC- this might just be it. I am ok with no footage in the announcement trailer. SC13 and other games do this a lot. It's more of a PSA to tell us they're working on it. I sure hope they learned a lot of things from the first game. They got their feet wet with Skylines, so hopefully they can build upon it and improve things. I found myself to be quite bored of the game after a while... which is why SimCity 4 is still king in my mind. Will Skylines II dethrone it this time? I guess time will tell.
  10. Show us What you're Working On

Been working on development testing the the (not public) RHW-12S. More images on the dev thread-
  11. Show us Your Interchanges!

Development showcase of a ramp complex after introducing the (not public) RHW-12S into the mix. Before: After: You can see more images of the network here-
  12. The RHW-12S is becoming more stable. Here's a few examples I can showcase widening a 10S to 12S. ----- Firstly, I use plops right next to the edge of my RHW networks, excluding the 6S since it overhangs. The new 12S does overhang a bit, but only about half the shoulder is cannibalized compared to the 6S where you often lose the entire shoulder. Original- 10S New- 12S This is the sacrifice you will need to make if you want this kind of setup. While proper signs and other plops/props will be needed to work with the 12S' new size, functionality comes first. Here is the same route without anything next to the highway, showing the full shoulder. ----- Next up, new ramp interfaces. Here are some before and after examples. While FARHW ramps do not currently exist for the 12S, the flex ramps do look quite good. Still some wealthing textures and whatnot to clean up, but again functionality first. Before After - Before After - Before After - Before After - Before After - And here are a couple images showing the 12S to 10S transition With pathing (yes I know the trees from the sound wall plop is in the shoulder now ) ----- The team has been hard at work developing and testing the 12S. As you can imagine there is lots to work on introducing a new network, and every new network requires even more work to ensure it is compatible with all the other current networks. Bug reports and subsequent patches are churning with each and every new build, and good progress is being made. Hope you enjoyed these screenies

  20. Hi all- thought I'd create a topic in this section- I've created a video going through all the networks I have in my roads tab. This video is up to date as of NAM 42, so be sure you have that version (or newer in the future) to follow along. Any questions or feedback? Feel free to post below or comment on the vid. Thanks and I hope this is useful!
  21. Network Addon Mod (NAM) overview

Here is a NAM installer guide I made- hope it is of some use!
  22. Could I get the NAM 36 installer?

I recently uploaded a video showing how to install the latest NAM (46 as of time of posting). You can follow along if you need a guide what to check off to customize. I do very much recommend using the latest version as it is the only one the team provides support on. Improvements are always being made from version to version, and if you have a suggestion let us know (by using the current version. We can't really help if your version is ancient). Hope that helps!
